We did not have "The Hex Girls appear in an original story book" on our 2024 bingo card. After "Scooby- Doo and the Haunted High Rise", I thought we were entering a Hex Girls drought. We have been waiting over 20 years for them to appear in a Scooby- Doo book.

The book is not out yet!

This has never happened before the gang being in the background (even Scooby and Shaggy!) and Velma and the guest stars being in the foreground! Never thought we would see the day. This means The WB see The Hex Girls as potential stars! Let's hope they have some personality.

The style is amazing. 70s. Plot close to Rescue Bots: saving ppl from natural disasters.

Finally, someone else sees what I am seeing! Danny was always here and all the Stratadons look like individuals and Tirac looks like a series long villain not a one- shot. And the ponies don't have cutie marks because they haven't finalized who's going to be in the show or not.

Also DO YOU KNOW WHAT THIS EPISODE IS ABOUT?  It’s called “A Lighthouse in the Sea of Time” and it is about a blind man teaching a gargoyle to read.  Hudson, the oldest of the gargoyle clan, is embarrassed about his illiteracy (hey, the guy grew up in 10th century Scotland), but coincidentally he meets and befriends a blind man (whose name escapes me at the mo - Jeffrey something) who of course cannot see that he is not human.  Jeffrey teaches Hudson to read, at one point uttering the line above.  Jeffrey is voiced by Paul Winfield is and is just one of DOZENS AND DOZENS of POC good guys and heroes in this show.

OH AND BY THE WAY THIS IS NOT A ONE-OFF, MANY EPISODES LATER THE FACT THAT HUDSON CAN READ IS ACTUALLY IMPORTANT TO THE PLOT.

Actually, the people who wrote those words were Brynne Chandler Reeves and Lydia Marano! This amazing duo separately or together wrote some of the absolute BEST episodes of Gargoyles.
