Well would you look at that…. Napoleon has finally had an attitude change again and going like a champ!
I got my coach to come out this past week to give me a lesson on him, since I’ve never had a lesson on him in the whole time I’ve owned him and it was so refreshing to get another perspective on him 👌🏻
I’ve gotten a new job on a Thoroughbred Stud again, moved into a house next door to this farm, both of my horses got to come with me, Napoleon is basically living in a paddock just off my backyard and Sword has been turned out into a massive paddock on the stud to himself until he’s ready to come up but we are just doing our rehab work in the paddock which I’ve just had to add 4 more weeks of work into him as in the process of moving he managed to get a massive foot abscess but we are back on track and now looking for a late Autumn to early winter comeback 🤞🏻
Napoleon is trucking on alright however the thought to put him back up for sale is still there but hoping to get my coach to come over and have a look at him and see what she thinks and where to go with him 😩 cause i just don’t know and riding him just isn’t really enjoyable without having a goal.
But as usual was not an easy pick up, taking us 2hrs to load him onto my float in 33*c heat 😩 anyways he’s home settling in with Sword and i can’t wait to ride him Wednesday!!
Got the shit news that Napoleon needs to come home in 2 weeks which has come at such a shitty time while I’m stressing and panicking over finances while i roll into another week with no job and no money and now have another horse to feed 😭
Going to sum the year up with this TikTok i made cause it’s probably the best way instead of doing a photo dump!
2023 has been a ride of very high highs and very low lows! This has been Swords first full year of retraining work off the track and have hit so many goals a lot quicker then i originally anticipated, we have been to every local Ag show being shown in hand and ridden hack classes, local riding clubs, Working Equitation and Dressage with of course placing in pretty well everything we entered. Sword has been one of the most incredible and rewarding horses i have ever owned and its been such a fun year! The absolutely heartbreaking low of it was Sword being diagnosed with Kissing Spines at the end if November. Im unsure what our future will look like but im desperately hoping we will be back in the show rings in 2024 stronger then ever after we continue on with loads of rehab work so we can continue our riding adventures together.
