WHO TURNED ON THE PECKING LAVA???
Okay I was trying to figure out things to post but I didn't know what so I decided to just look it up
I guess people post reviews sometimes? Sure, whatever, I can do that.
I recently watched Murder On The Owl Express for the first time. I haven't watched a lot of movies before, so I don't have much to compare it to and also my opinion might be biased because my best friend was a lead actress but she did do really well so.
Anyway, I'll start with things I didn't like. So, the whole plot twist at the end was that Hat Kid- I mean, the Detective, but I'll be calling her Hat Kid in this review because that's how I think of her deal with it- was actually the culprit all along. And she basically just admits to it? Which is sort of weird, she didn't have much reason to admit to it, but the weirder thing is that she even searched for clues at all? Like, if she was going to admit to the crime, why not do that from the start? Why go looking for evidence to prove a culprit when she knows it's her?
I also think it's kind of lame that the victim wasn't even dead. That, combined with the unnecessary search for clues, really just makes it all feel pointless- like, why did any of the plot need to happen? They didn't even establish a motive for Hat Kid stabbing the owl, either.
I don't know how I feel about the Conductor to be honest but I like how much he swears. I don't know I think swearing is fun. Don't tell Cooking Cat I watched it she'll probably get upset I think. What is the Conductor though I'm a little confused like is he a bird??? I guess he's probably legally a bird but I mean like what kind of bird? Hat Kid is legally a bird in real life so I don't think that's saying much
Things I did like. The acting felt really genuine, it felt like they didn't even know they were in a movie to be honest. The security camera-like footage adds to that vibe, I think. Really interesting approach, but it made it all feel more real, it was interesting. (Unless all movies are like that and I'm just oblivious???)
I also really liked the wAIT WHAT THE PECK IS THAT
