A zig zag of poles done at a walk is great for developing baby steering and suppleness, and you can make the circles as big or small as you like - go over a pole, do a loop and go over the next in the zig zag. I've done it a lot with horses doing rehab and it's nice and simple but great for developing lateral bend and accuracy without too much stress. Eventually you can do it at the trot too.
Anyone have any recs for the Babiest lunging and riding exercises? Patterns and poles and whatnot? So far I've done lunging circle w poles at 12 and 6, and lunging in a 'rectangle.' going to be up on the pony shortly if all is well and hoping to go in w a sense of direction rather than 'idk i walk and trot down the rail'
