Mindy (Emily in Paris) needs her own spin-off show and here’s why
This song from the season 2 finale episode is just gold. Can’t wait to see more of her and hear Mindy (Ashley Park) sing more songs. We’ve seen Ashley Park sing in Mean Girls, so we knew she could sing, and yet she keeps surprising me. I know there are at least 2 more seasons coming of Emily in Paris, but come on, I need more songs and moment like this one. And I love Mindy as a character. If there is one character who needs her own spin-off show, it is Mindy. (And who doesn’t want a new musical series. All the good musical tv show already came to an end (Zoey’s, Smash, Rise, Glee). I need a new one to look forward to)

Wait, Melissa Benoist and Jeremy Jordan song a song together on Supergirl and I only find that out now. How did I miss that one?

7 Things you might not know about the Musical Heathers
1. In an early concert version Annaleigh Ashford played Veronica Sawyer and Jeremy Jordan (Newsies,Supergirl) played JD.
2. Alice Lee left the off-Broadway run early to be a contestant on Rising Star. She recently played a role in Zoey's Extraordinairy Playlist.
3. Although the show is Incredibly popular, this show only had a 5 month off-Broadway run and never made the transfer to Broadway.
4. The songs "I Say No", "Never Shut Up Again" and "You're Welcome" were not in the off-Broadway version, but were added to the London production of the show.
5. All lot of songs were rewritten for the High School version of the show. The song "Blue" isn't even in the production and is replaced by "You're Welcome".
6. Sophie Isaacs (West End's Heather McNamara) played Katherine Howard in Six on West End. Her Co-Star Jodie Steele (Heather Chandler) played the same role in Six in the UK tour.
7. Jessica Kennan Wynn (off-Broadway’s Heather Chandler) played in the second Mamma Mia movie (Mamma Mia, Here we go again). She played the younger version of Tanya.

The movie Cats deserves more credit than it gets and here's why
I just watched Cats. I was quite nervous because the musical is quite good. The movie got a lot of negative reviews. I'm not gonna lie, I understand the criticism. There are a lot of things that are odd or that could've been done better. But the movie wasn't as bad as I thought. I could name plenty of aspects that could've been better, but that's already all over the internet. Today I want to focus on the things that are actually good because the movie isn't all that bad. Yeah, it probably isn't as good as it could've been, but there are some things that are great. Those things deserve a bit more credit. I think it's time to focus on that. So I'm not going to talk about the cockroach scene or the visuals or any other negative aspect. Today I will be talking about the things I genuinely like about this movie.
-  First of all the vocals were great. There are a lot of singers in this movie and they definitely show that they can sing in this movie. Especially Jennifer Huson is incredible. But even the non-singers surprised me. Ian Mckallen and Judy Dench can sing. Who knew?
- The New song was quite good. The song was written by Taylor Swift. It fits the storyline and the other songs.
- The choreography was great. The musical is famous for its choreo. The choreo didn't disappoint me. The tap scène in the Railway Cat was brilliant. Andy Blankenbueler already proved on Broadway (Hamilton, Bandstand) that he can choreograph and the movie really shows that. The choreography is probably the biggest asset of this movie.
- The visuals got a lot of criticism. I get it, but there was one thing I did love about the visuals: the moving tails. That's as positive as I can get - about the Visual aspect of this movie.
- The movie had comical scenes and lines every now and then. And no, I'm not talking about the cringe Moments. Some scenes actually had a lot of humor.
- I love the London setting. Andrew Llyod Webber is Britsh. It totally makes sense.
- Don't forget the cast. Jury Dench, Ian McKellen, Taylor Swift, Jason Derulo... The list goes on and on. I can't say a bad word about the cast. They were great. (It's also not their fault that they looked quite weird in this movie. I think they did the best they could. There was nothing wrong with the acting if you ask me.)

4 Musical-ish things to look forward to in 2022
1. The reopening of theatre all arround the world. Broadway and West End are open, but even that still has it ups and downs. And than we’re not even talking about theatres worldwide. Were I live the theatres are currently closed. Hopefully they will reopen again this years.
2. The release of Cyrano the movie.
3. Beetlejuice returning to Broadway in April.
4. The first Broadway revival of Funny Girl starring Beanie Feldstein (and Ramin Karimloo. He can literally sing any song and I would listen. And don’t forget Jane Lynch. I’m a gleek for life. Seeing Jane return to Broadway is amazing).

7 best Musical Moments of 2021
1. The reopening of Broadway, West End and theatres all over the world.  2. The Tony Awards of 2020. It was probably one of the weirdest Tony Awards with just a few shows who got nominations. 3. Seeng so many musical movies releases. In the Heights, Tick... Tick... Boom, West Side Story and Dear Evan Hansen.  4. Seeing the Rockettes return to Radio City Musical Hall for the Christmas Spectacular.  5. Seeing Zoey’s Extraordinairy Playlist return for a Christmas Movie. We all thought this show was cancelled after two seasons so this was a wonderfull christmas surprise.  6. Seeing a live musical again on television. Grease live and The Sound of Music were quite sucessfull, but the last few years it was a bit quite. Annie Live could be the start of more musicals live on television.  7. Seeing a musical with Britney Spears songs going to Washington. The show is called Once Upon A One More Time. A lot of shows start here before they go to Broadway. So this is a good sign.
