I like the observation, general perspective & occasional classic meme you bring to livebageling (your digimon page was also great for catching up on massive chunks kid!me missed), so it's good to know you're planning to continue here. You're also fairly concise, which is nice sometimes.

Fun fact: throughout my entire career as an academic I have always struggled with minimum length requirements on papers because I have a tendency to be too concise. Any time I wrote an assignment with a minimum length requirement, I would always come up almost exactly one page short, no matter what that requirement was.

This lead me to adopting the age-old strategy beloved by poor writers in universities around the globe, "padding all my shit with absurd purple prose and deliberately including run-on sentences with indiscreet use of passive voice.

In any event, thank you for your kind words! I also intend to continue Digijosify, just, you know, Seasonal Affective Disorder and all.

Episode Recap: Weiss walks around her family mansion looking distraught and saddened. After briefly talking with her (presumably) younger brother Whitely, she walks in on an argument between Ironwood and her father over the Schnee Dust Company's business, and it is mentioned that James "controls" two of the seats on "the council", which is presumably a governing body of Atlas. Father Schnee then bids Weiss to perform at a concert put on in a show of good will between the Schnee company and the rest of Remnant, who still hold Atlas responsible for the fall of Beacon Academy.

Meanwhile, RNJR come across a village that has been razed by bandits and the ensuing Grimm attracted to the distressed emotions of the panicked villagers. We learn that Ruby is being haunted by nightmares of (I think) Pyrrha calling out for Jaune, and that Jaune has been training using pre-recorded messages left for him by Pyrrha.

I legit think this is the most joyful Weiss has been shown to be in all four seasons of this show to date.

(I hesitate to say 'happy' because given the Everything going on with her in this episode it would not to to mistake a brief moment of levity with actual enduring happiness)

Also, were I to extrapolate from this 30 second scene with Klein, I'm guessing we're having one of those classic literary situations where the wealthy protege finds more familial love with the *ahem* hired help than with their actual family. So naturally, my next question is to ask what exactly Klein gets out of this arrangement, and what, if anything, are the long-term narrative implications of this choice.

But as usual I'm probably getting ahead of myself.

I rather enjoy these still portraits of characters in this series because of just how different they look to the character models.

Removed from context, this image is virtually indistinguishable from a 15 year old weeb drawing her own family with the help and guidance of a worn copy of How To Draw Anime And Manga from her middle school library.
