Not too active here yet but just some updates about my fics:

Sweet and Sour Ch.8 is slowly being updated and is around 1/3 of the way done.

Eraserhead, Resident Vampire Ch.3 has not been written yet and is on the backburner while I work on Sweet and Sour.

When the Thunder Touches the Earth Ch.2 is in pretty much stasis. It's about halfway written, I just have a lot of writer's block on that one so there's no telling when it may be updated.

for real, if you see a fic that seems abandoned but you really want to see if it might be completed

i would genuinely suggest not mentioning the fact its abandoned at all. instead, just leave the most effusive comment you can. tell the author specifically what you liked. if they are in a position they might continue it, you might remind them what they liked about the story, and thus maybe revive it.

that is probably your best bet to get a story finished, much more than asking “hey is this abandoned” or asking for it to be continued.

idk man, i just wanna write a fic that someone reads obsessively at 3am. a fic that someone loses sleep to finish because just one more chapter and tries to give multiple kudos. a fic that people will leave a comment on every chapter. i want to write a fic that people will recommend to others, that they think nails the characterization and relationship dynamic. i want to write someone’s comfort fic, someone’s favorite fic, or someone’s fic they read when they want to re-read something. i want to be that fic writer. i want to write that fic.

Lovely fic by @tazzykiki called When the Storm Comes to Dance. It has some very visual moments that I just itched to draw, so I tried to do it some form of justice. An interesting take on at least part of the world too, or at least pertaining to Kaminari.
