Celesto sees Infernomancer, who is trying way too fucking hard to be scary.
This page more than confirms what I said in my article thingy over a half a year ago, Infernomancer is not a character, he is a plot device who shows up when you need things to get spooky and gory and deadly. He hasn't gained an inch of personality or a backstory from his first appearance. Yes, you could argue his only purpose is to be a puppet of The Beast, but amidst all the allegories and strawmen that make up this comic's rogues gallery, why is The Infernomancer one of the bigger evils? What does he represent?
I am not claiming that Infernomancer being an allegory for something like the zikavirus or climate change would make him a better character, I am claiming that he needs something that gives him the edge (haha) over this comic's normal villains of BAD PEOPLE. He and The Beast are such stupid concepts and I just fucking know The King guy is involved somehow. I really feel like Celesto should have been the main antagonist, because he is a man trying to fix a corrupted world through extreme measures, a mockery of Deegan who is trying to get him on his side rather than kill him. The BIGGEST EVIL doesn't always need to be an ooga booga superpowerful Satan Hitler Frieza, BIGGEST EVIL can also be something very personal, and since this comic is titled Dominic Deegan, I feel like his worst enemy should also be his most personal opponent. Dominic should have viewed Celesto the same way Gene and Family of Intelligent Life view Matt.

WHO roept apenpokkenvirus uit tot internationale noodtoestand
De WHO (Wereldgezondheidsorganisatie) heeft de wereldwijde uitbraak van het apenpokkenvirus uitgeroepen tot een internationale noodtoestand. De WHO heeft die status voor de zevende keer aan een ziekte toegekend, waarvan e laatste keer begin 2020 was toen het coronavirus voor het eerst uitbrak. Andere ziekten die deze status kregen zijn enkele ebola-uitbraken en het zikavirus.
De WHO heeft hiermee het hoogste waarschuwingsniveau toegekend aan het apenpokkenvirus, namelijk een PHEIC (Public Health Emergency of International Concern). Over het toekennen van deze PHEIC heeft een speciale commissie die hierover gaat donderdag vergadert. Er was echter geen consensus over de toekenning ervan, aangezien 9 commissieleden tegen waren en 6 voor. Directeur-generaal Tedros van de WHO had echter het laatste woord en wilde de noodtoestand wel toekennen. Het is voor het eerst dat het toekennen van een PHEIC op een dergelijke wijze gebeurd is.
Momenteel zijn er ongeveer 16.000 gevallen bekend van apenpokken over de hele wereld, verspreid over 75 landen. Daarvan zijn r nu 5 doden gevallen. De snelle mondiale verspreiding was echt doorslaggevend voor Tedros om een PHEIC toe te kennen. Het hoge risico is volgens hem vooral in Europa en in de rest van de wereld is het risico gematigd.
