You sigh, today isn’t your day, it felt like you woke up on the wrong side of the bed, your mood just isn’t it, just a particular low day, you’ve stay in bed for most of it disassociating, you’re grateful this at least happened on a day off, going anywhere right now would be miserable.

The only reason you got up today anyways was because of your Sinistea, whom you affectionately named honeydew after the tea, the little tea cup Pokémon had nudged you into getting up, it was already well into the afternoon.

“I’m sorry honey.” You take your index finger and gently rub the little ghost type under its mouth, tiredly giggling at the little dance they do.

It’s been years since you’ve lived in Unova, you moved here from Galar and quite enjoy it here, still living in the city you just live on the edge of it, and funny enough that’s how you met your two closest friends, you haven’t messaged anyone all day today, hm you’re sure they are fine, what’s one day?

You fed your baby ghost type, moving to the couch, laying with a blanket laid across you, you have the tv on but you aren’t watching it, honeydew sits and rests on your stomach, you think your could nap like this if your brain wasn’t in over drive.

‘I’m a bad friend, I don’t deserve them or all the nice things I get….I wonder if they think I’m using them? I’m an awful person.’

You look around and realize you forgot your phone in your room, whatever, you can’t bug honeydew when they are so comfy, and it’s not like you’re missing anything, it’s just a normal weekend.

Until both you and honeydew jolt up at the sound of your front door being thrown open, sitting up you hold the scared Sinistea to your chest.

“Oh bestie!”

“Sorry for the dramatic entrance.”

You sigh in relief realizing it’s just Skyla and Elesa.

“Hey guys, what brings you here?”

Skyla pouts “you weren’t answering your phone so we decided to stop by, great right?”

Elesa finally walks into view carrying a few bags “figured you could use a little pick me up.”

She tosses the bag at you letting it lap in your lap, your partner Pokémon moving around it trying to see what’s inside before you open it.

“You….got me my favorite snacks? Is that, did you really get me the entire series of my comfort show?”

The model shrugs, you didn’t have time to question her before Skyla picks you up carrying you to your room.

“Don’t worry we are gonna make spots for us, watch that show and make sure all is well!”

“Guys seriously I don’t-“

Elesa cuts you off “nonsense, just hush up and accept your fate.”

Skyla tosses you on your bed, quickly covering you on all your blankets so you’re in a nice cocoon, honeydew snuggling into your neck while you two watch the gyms leaders move about your room, Elesa gets the TV set up ready to play your show, she hops in your bed to your right, remote in hand and a spare blanket over her lap as she hands you some of your snacks and drinks.

“While Skyla is out hunting more blankets what’s up?”

“Oh ya know…nothing really.”

She narrows her eyes at you “no you dork, what’s wrong, you never ignore our messages, we even called you cause you hadn’t sent us anything all day and it’s already six at night.”

Had it really gotten that late? You remember it being the afternoon when you got up, you must’ve spaced out.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean I just…I thought.”

“Come on keep going, I’m not going to be upset with you.” She gives you a small smile, she has always been like a big sister figure to you, she is your best friend, you’re sure she won’t be mad.

“I thought you guys would be better off without me.”

You feel a light but hard enough smack on the top of your head before her arm wraps around your shoulders.

“We aren’t complete without you, nerd.”

A tired chuckle leaves you, just in time for Skyla to come back with a blanket, jumping into bed with you two, to the left of you but she snuggles down and rests against your side.

“Are we ready kids?”

“Yes ma’am!” The flying gym leader cheers

“Yes please.” You hunker down into your newly made nest, surrounded by warmth on all sides.

Your room is filled with your commentary or what could’ve made this show even better, the girls chiming in with you, Skyla horribly mocking the characters voices and Elesa deadpanning and trying not to get mad over the shows dumbest moments.

“I missed this today!”

You look at Skyla confused “what do you mean?”

“Well it’s always so much fun hanging out with or even texting you, I was getting kinda worried when you weren’t answering, I’m glad that we get to spend tome together today.” She beams a warm smile.

You fight back tears, you love your friends, they mean the world to you, and to think you worried them when they love you this much.

You bury your head in her neck in a hugging motion, you can’t get your arms around her since she swaddled you in these blankets.

“I’m sorry for worrying you, thank you for all of this though, both of you, I’m so happy to have you guys in my life.”

The gym leader’s arm wrap around you “anything for you!”

Elesa softly laughs “yeah don’t worry about it, what are friends for, now sit back up, we are almost done with this episode.”

You do as she says, so happy and content with how today is going, you hope there are many more to come.
