What do you think Kiri does for a hobby? Like he has video games with his bros and all of his different work outs and trainings. But what's the one thing he has that is just for himself? Like he feels kinda guilty about the amount money/time he puts into it, but it makes him happy and makes it easier to go home after a day of fighting villains and saving people.

Kats has his cooking, obviously. But Kiri is such a chill dude that I'm having a hard time pinning him down.

I’m so happy I can finally answer this!

So, I think Kiri has 2-3 hobbies of his own.

• I think he LOVES going to conventions. And, at first, it’s another way he gets to hang out with friends. He gets to geek out at panels with Izuku and he can cosplay with Mina.

I think his love of vintage hero memorabilia started here. I headcanon that there is this line of hero lunch boxes and he’s been working to collect all the Crimson Riot ones.

Because of that, he doesn’t just go to go cons, but also collectors shops, thrift stores, any place that might have them. And in this process he’s found a lot of other cool treasures too. So, he has a pretty extensive collection of vintage hero stuff.

• Wood and metal working are the other two hobbies I think he has that really are just his.

He picked up wood working first and he’s done it since he was pretty young actually. It started off as whittling little objects. He’d harden his fingers and carve away and over time, he got pretty good.

Then he graduated into making things actually. A shelf for his room, a rack for his lighter weights. No one actually thought he made them though.

It wasn’t until Ochaco got pregnant and he actually made her this beautiful elm crib with an ornate design that people realized he’d been making these things all along.

Now, metal work, I think he stumbled into later in life thanks to his face guard. He wanted to make some minor changes or maybe a piece broke off and rather than having to go through the trouble of sending it off to be fixed he had an, “I can just do it myself,” moment.

He did some research and the repair went smoothly and it held up. He felt pretty damn good about it. From there he wanted to try other small projects. Some failed and others succeeded with flying colors! It was a new hobby for him to really get into.

Mixed with the woodwork skills he’s had since childhood, and the metal crafting he seems to have a natural affinity for, Kirishima has made some gorgeous pieces.
