I never thought I would say this, but the crazy theory of YOKO OKINO of all people being carasuma is actually making sense to me. I mean, she’s an old enough character and she appeared during kir arc and just before rum reveal arc and in 1066 we see rum talking about the big boss.... it’s not entirely impossible now

Kogoro’s Suspicion/Yoko’s Second Appearance

Following the theory of Yoko being the boss of the BO, here is her second appearance in Volume 11 of Detective Conan/Case Closed. She approaches Kogoro/Richard after she watches him (but it was actually Conan) solve a case on live TV. Also, Kogoro/Richard gets super suspicious of Conan, but then discards it.

I did not know about the Yoko Okino=Anokata theory and I would like to thank you for the gift of alerting me to it.

I feel like an old fan now because that theory was all the rage when I started reading like... nine years ago? It’s mainly based on the theory that Anokata is a character who appeared in the first twenty chapters because DC wasn’t originally intended to be this long and Yoko’s been a persistent but not prominent presence in the manga for pretty much its entire run. She’s fronting as an adorable idol and secretly she’s running the most dangerous criminal empire in Japan. She keeps inviting Kogoro to stuff not because she genuinely buys that he’s a great detective but to keep an eye on what Conan’s up to. She’s onto you, child, she’s always there, always watching, always smiling sunnily even as she shoots you in the face
