I have been obsessed with the trope ‘a depressed man picking up random child from the street then suddenly became a dad since forever so I had to make my own story. The man here is Sang Cheng, he’s not that old but has been through it. The girl he picked up is called Fei Ling - or A-Fei as I call her.

SC is a wandering martial artist, making a living by bounty huntings. On a case where he had to take care of a group of bandits, he came across A-Fei, who was held captive. A-Fei, seeing how he fought, begged to go with him. SC, of course, refused. He could barely take care of himself, how would he take care of a child. A-Fei, an extremely stubborn girl, attached herself to him (literally). Thus he had no choice but to bring her along. The other boy, Jiao Hua (i think that’s how it’s written in eng? I’ll check it again later) came along later. So they are kind of a trio strolling around.

SC is a stoic guy, he doesn’t smile much and likes to act all tough and scary. He is absolutely a softie and cannot resist helping people. That’s one of the reason why he took A-Fei in quickly too. He couldn’t get himself to just leave a child behind.

And the comic: that’s young SC begging his master to take him in as a disciple. SC was a hot headed child and got into fights a lot.One day he got into a fight far bigger than he could have handle and his master, who was just passing by, helped him. He then begged her to take him in.

Translation:

SC: Master! Please take me in as you disciple!

Master: ….

Master: Oh? My own disciple, huh?

SC: ….

They have just been so fun to think about honestly. I just. Arrgghh. I wish i have more time and energy to write more about them. And to anyone who read to this point, uhhh, thank you! For reading me talk about my characters lol. Love you <3
