#TBT to my FIRST day at my dream job that I worked my entire life for. I was YOUNG, SCARED, and EXCITED all at the same time. I remember shaking in the lobby waiting for the producer to meet me at first thinking he’s going to hate me. I got lost my first day at the studio and when I finally got to the writers room no one really said anything to me and I was terrified. I stayed up all night trying to find something professional to wear and when I got there everyone had on sweats and t-shirts. I was MAD sad because I ate lunch by myself for an entire month until two girls finally came up to me and sat with me. I was also scared to show anyone anything I had written because I didn’t think I was good enough. I went to the bathroom for like 20 mins and quoted the words, “You’re amazing, you’re talented, you’ve worked for this, and you deserve to be here” until I found the courage to go back up to the writers room. Through it all, the entire team made me feel like family and there’s no other network I would have chosen to start my professional writing career other than #FOX! Thank you for an amazing 2-Years, full of promotions, and growth. I’m truly grateful! #BlackWriters #WritersAreDope ✍🏾❤️
