I have a question for you, @quiddie , that is too long for The Fireside, if you have the time, thank you very much.
In the Children’s adventure when Ame must help Eursulon return to his home, Suvi is left behind in the house because night is coming soon and she must follow the rules that have been placed for her.
In the beginning on the campaign when our team meets back up again 20(?) years later you say through Suvi’s inner monologue that she doesn’t know how much longer Ame and Eursulon had spent time together post Suvi’s leaving
Then in arch 1 Suvi sees Ame and Eursulon hearing something talk to them and only them, then later in that same arch she sees Ame chase after Eursulon under quest fever, being left out and behind once again.
Then in arch 2 when Suvi sees Eursulon chasing after another something and Ame following, she is out of the loop once more.
And finally (for what is out so far) when Suvi sees Eursulon and Ame running away again and leave her vision, she does not know how long they have been together AGAIN!
So my question, after all of this ^, is:
Does Suvi trust Eursulon and Ame or do you think Suvi will forever be out of the loop and always left behind?
Thank you again for your time.

Am I much of an artist? Arguable. Is the graphic design slapdash at best? I’d say so. Would The Cool Dog love it as it is? (hopefully) hell yeah!
Anyway I after hearing today’s fireside I was possessed by Quest Fever and this appeared

its so cool that wavebreaker has three times been made eursulon's sword. first gifted to him by the sister he chose, not knowing what it was. secondly returned by a living hanged man for a job well done. and the third time finally gifted from the spirit the sword was made for

Sometimes a family is a river spirit who loves soup, a no-nonsense bee spirit, a delightfully goofy scarecrow, and a goat who went to medical school, and I need a sitcom about the shenanigans they get up to.

I love the first Interlude, “Twelve Brooks,” on the WBN Patreon for so many reasons, but the most interesting one is that in a lively, pastoral setting with truly awe-inspiring levels of fantastical whimsy, Brennan managed to fold in another reason for me to hate and distrust the Kehmsarazan Empire.
Mark my words, the Saraz Imperium will pay for what they did to the Grenoe (sp?) and to Buckles especially. Not only did they essentially orphan a seven or six year-old child, but they also separated him from his people, who could have guided him through his beautiful magical gift in his own time. Truly the dick-est moves of all dick moves.
The real tragedy that I keep coming back to is the imperialism of terminology. Prof. Salmón knows what the Empire and the Citadel would call someone like Buckles — a cambion, which Brennan definitely pulled from European mythology about the offspring of a human and a demon — but he has to look through an ancient library in a dipalitated castle overtaken by bullfrogs and fucking fireflies to learn what Buckles’s own people would call him. Something about that makes me incandescent with rage.
I fucking hate empires so much.

Suvi, a child of the Citadel and a soldier, made the right call. Her feelings were legitimate. Her worldview and upbringing dictates the split second calls she makes. Love and friendship in conflict with loyalty and duty, and she defaults to her training.
Ame, a witch and a wild one (not in the Honored Friend sense but just a wild person), made the right call. Her life was in danger, and these people part of the cage closing around her. An animal backed into the corner. Far too much of her still matching the fox to be tame and graceful in a world of artifice
Eursulon, a protector and an Honored Friend, made the right call. One friend in danger, hunted, with so few she can trust. The other in ostensibly the safest place in the world for her. But a place he could not stay, a trap for himself too. To go. And to protect.
All three made arguably bad choices. All three made arguably the right choice. And all three definitely made choices 100% in character.
I love the complications in this story and the characters and Brennan playing them into their own little traps
