The United Nations said this month that there were 8 billion people in the world and that eight countries of them in Africa—would account for more than half of the population growth up to 2050.
For the first time in human history the population of the Earth has reached 8bn, the UN has said. 🌎👪 This comes just 11 years after passing the seven-billion milestone - but after a big surge in the second half of the 20th Century, population growth may now begin to slow.
