Mother's Day is coming up so here's my top 5 movies to watch with mom or grandma

I lost my mom a year ago but it only feels like a month, and I was really close to my mom and grandma my whole life. Like, I came to them for everything. They were the two people I love most and I still love them most. Here's some movies I recommend for Mother's Day, and you can sit and have a fun time with your mom or grandma and watch these, there's some funny ones on the list.

(Sing a bit of Harmony, 2021) This one isn't really a mother-daughter story but the mother plays an important role in the story by building Shion in the first place. It's about a robot girl who can sing, but everyone has to keep it a secret. Shion causes trouble for the main character, when she's supposed to be there for good reasons. I'm not gonna give spoilers, just watch it!

(CatDog & the Great parent Mystery, 2001) The only conjoined twin who happen to be a cat and dog, have to set off to find their parents. The majority of the movie doesn't have much to do with the parents, but the fact that they look so hard to find them is the point. I chose it for mother's day mostly because my grandma and I were huge CatDog fans, and my mom kind of was too. Yes, it's basically a long episode of the cartoon series, I consider it a movie because it was 40 minutes long, but it was basically a long episode. Actually, a lot of Nickelodeon shows had movies, besides SpongeBob. CatDog was just one of the lesser known "Nicktoons".

(Storks, 2016) Oh gosh, this one is an all time favorite of mine, and my mom loved it too. A lot of people liked it, but I still think it's underrated. Some people are super picky about movies, but I think this movie appeals to me in a lot of ways. The characters are adorable. I LOVE the designs, especially Tulip's. Like, she looks more like a normal girl and not a Disney princess. She looks cute, but they didn't try to make her look "sexy" or anything, they just make her look like a normal girl. Junior's design is also adorable and I love birds, and I love the adorable babies in it too. The story is amazing and shows a different perspective for once, like the fact that they're trying to get the baby to her family meanwhile Tulip has to find her family, but focuses on the baby first! It's incredible and I suggest to anyone!

(WonderPark, 2019) I'm not sure why this movie gets so much hate, it's actually a beautiful movie! Yes, it's not perfect, but I can tell that they worked hard on the story and I feel like they were really trying to appeal to the 9-12 year old audience, because this is almost like a coming-of-age type of story and has a lot to do with the girl's imagination and depression, with her mother being far away. It's better than a lot of movies, in my opinion, but it's not one of my top favorites. It's super emotional and I don't like crying a lot.

(Brave, 2011) Okay, this one of the only Disney movies I don't cringe at, you know me, I'm not a Disney fan! I don't recommend this for Mother's Day because it's a bit sad, not for me at least. If you and your mother or grandmother enjoy this, then go ahead! I never watched it with my mom or grandma. (When I was a kid, my uncle took me to see it in theaters, and then when we rented the DVD of it at the library, the disk was all beat up, and as my mom and grandma got older, my mom refused to watch it because of it being to sad). I don't gotta describe the movie, everyone knows Brave! One of the best Disney movies in my opinion. Mulan, Brave, Luca, and Encanto are probably the bests in my opinion, although Teen Beach Movie and Lilo & Stich are good too, not my favorite tho. I'm just not a Disney fan, even though I like some of their movies.

Anyway, you heard about my favorites, now. I could have added Duck Duck Goose but it's not really a Mother's Day one. It could be I guess, but it could be a Father's Day one too. My mom watched it on Father's Day in 2020 because my dad was watching his wild west movies LOL, I'm glad I had her! Had a really messed up idea for a Kirby route in Forgotten Lands that's basically a knock off of Snow grave

Spoilers to the game

also basic idea on the power up so I don't have to explain: you can freeze enemies on the spot

Ok so I've had this idea ever since I played the first mall level when we see the ice cap power up and thought "wow that's fucked up", nicknamed this joke route as Snow cone and it's basically snow grave but with Kirby.

First the player gets the freeze power up in the mall and plays through freezing all the enemies like normal. However, rather than carry on go back to the beginning and play through the first opening stage freezing all the enemies.

Then go through the ENTIRE game with only this power up (sounds bullshit but changes happen), as you go on enemies either stop appearing or run away in fear and the game gets slightly easier, just like in Snowgrave too the enemies bodies stay stuck.

The colour palette of the world almost gets more blue and melancholy as well, the music also seems to have human conversations mixed in with it varying on which location (i.e. city has conversations and chatter, docks have people yelling back and forth at times about cargo, Wonderpark as child screams of joy etc.).

As for Elfin he seems oblivious as to what's Kirby doing as well and almost encourages it assuming it's a good thing to take down the beasts.

The only ones who don't run are the mini bosses (at first), however after a few run ins they get the memo and almost seem to try and book it out of the arena. Unlike the Snow grave route Kirby is oblivious as to what he's doing, waiting around long enough you see Kirby wave at the enemies trying to get a response.

This all comes to a head at three points, first is when you try to take the power up off but its frozen stuck and Kirby worries, consoling the upgrade Dee gets a worried response from him at first until he suggest working hard enough for it to simply pop off from the sweat. Speaking of the upgrade store, at this point you find yourself unable to upgrade any other item but the ice cap, however it never changes appearance but the stats rise.

Next is if you choose to take on Meta Knight and Kirby almost seems to get the memo after he freezes meta knight before he can fly off (also since you previously took down all the bosses before the frozen stage you get taken straight to Meta knight).

Last is when you go up against King Dededee, Kirby isn't blatantly saying "run!" but he is hesitant to fight Dededee. Once you take down his dogs he seems to get more pissed and begins attacking, same boss fight as before but it's cut short as every time you hit him he freezes up more and more with his feet eventually freezing only for him to break free.

Finally just as he jumps Kirby you use the power one last time and Dededee slowly freezes up into another ice statue mid jump with his hammer in the air, falls to the ground and slightly cracks.

This is the breaking point for Kirby as he seems distressed by what he's done, running back to the beginning and grabbing the fire power to melt Deedeedee but it does dick. Elfin still gets kidnapped but there's again two big differences.

you don't fight that fucking armadillo as he's "gon' fishing" according to a sign" (still freeze up newer enemies in forgotten city though since they don't know dick about what you're doing until they get the message as well).

same thing with the lava stage only this time you don't fight Deedeedee or the other bosses again and instead book it straight to the elevator to save Elfin.

Last is the final boss who seems unfazed by what you've done as does Kirby slightly (although still shaken). One last fight where you use the power up at its full capacity as you freeze Leongar as well as not just ID F86 but the whole lab including Elfin in the process, Kirby's finally broken by this and leave.

At this point the game's already over, any time you use the power up in the previous levels now you only freeze the world.

Game ends instead with you heading to Waddle Dee town only for them to all disappear in fear as you head back to the opening stage again and have the option to sit on the beach as the credits silently roll.
