one doctor who thing I’ve always thought would be fun is meeting a future doctor in a ‘current series’ - like a preemptive multi doctor special

but this ep reminded me why that’s not a good idea :(

#don’t get me wrong #14 and 15s reactions were great when taken as a character growth moment #for the doctor I mean #but it really undercuts the joy of meeting a new doctor on their own terms #not even the basics of the post regen high or the new tardis or outfit #but just getting to watch them tick you know? #ncuti is already a darling and tennant’s 14 grew on me as his own thing #I had fun!!! lots to like!!!! #but yeah #wish ncuti didn’t have to share his first ep - especially with David Tennant of all people 😅 #doctor who #spoilers #ps this is also why I feel like Jo Martin got done so dirty #she oozed charisma and intrigue - but her role in the show was undercut by … well everything else #*sigh* #this is also why capaldis little cameo in the 50th was great!!!! #I saw it in the cinema and we lost our minds!!!!!! #just a little taste of what’s to come - then back in the action #no toes stepped on
