Haypaw was the only one in the cave this morning, the rest of the clowder out hunting. As he was bouncing down the grassy steps inside he heard faint pawsteps behind him. “Willowsplash?” He called out, turning around. Instead of his mentor’s familiar brown coat, he saw a faint glimmer of cream in the early morning sun shining into the cave.

“Greetings, Haypaw.” The mystery cat said, his voice carrying through the cave with utter clarity. Haypaw jumped back, claws unsheathed. “Who- Who are you!” He hissed, back arched. The cream tom let out a rumbling laugh as he padded down the stepping stones into camp.

Haypaw narrowed his eyes, realizing that the glimmer before wasn’t just a trick of the sun. As the tom stepped into the shade of the cave his pelt still shone with stars. Haypaw stood up straighter now, pelt burning with embarrassment.

“I am Snailtrail,” spoke the starclan cat, gaze turned towards the camp. It was beautiful; a lush cave that was practically teeming with plant life. He turned to Haypaw, a now serious look on his face. “Listen closely, Haypaw. This is important. 100 Moons from now, the kin of your kin will save this clan from utter destruction. Remember this...” As he spoke, he faded away, leaving Haypaw in mute confusion. As Snailtrail’s figure disappeared completely, the patrol returned, prey and herbs clamped in their jaws.

Wisteriaclan isn’t in danger, is it? Haypaw thought, a nervous dread tugging at his heart.

so i don’t have a story for them yet, but here’s what i have done.

i introduce: Dapplepaw(blind tabbyco) and Troutpaw!(orange fuckboy) two riverclan apprentices. they aren’t new to the apprentice den, but they aren’t ready to become warriors just yet.

Dapplepaw is a very sweet and curious cat, she always loves learning about new things. she’s very adventurous and loves exploring places. she is cautious and knows to be careful though. she is pretty gullible, and will believe most anything. her mentor is Willowsplash, who you’ll learn more about when i draw him.

then there’s Troutpaw, an attractive tom who tends to get the attention of the other apprentices quite often. he’s pretty skilled, too. this has led to him being pretty over-confident and a little self-centered, but he does his best to be respectful of his superiors and kind to fellow apprentices. his mentor is Ferretpetal, who you’ll learn more about when i draw her.

Troutpaw and Dapplepaw are very close, have been since they were kits. Troutpaw shows Dapplepaw first whenever he finds something new, and Dapplepaw always makes sure Troutpaw doesn’t get to caught up with himself. other apprentices are kind of mean to Dapplepaw, since they’re jealous Troutpaw spends so much time with her. Troutpaw snitched on them to their mentors :)

Splashpaw staring in anger at his father as he admits having kits with Frostfur.

Zoom in on his eyes and then zoom back out to him killing his pa.

Splashpaw drops dad in front of his leader and he looks proud.

Splashpaw gets made into a warrior.

0:22-0:36 Part 2

Zoom out from Splash to the territories and then zoom in on sunning rocks.

Icepaw is stalking a mouse when Splash tackles him and they have a little fight.

Cut to a gathering where Splash and Icepaw are sitting near each other and show they don’t get along because Icepaw is careful and collected while Splash is easily angered and proud and quite arrogant.

Show SkyClan and RiverClan with their leaders staring each other down at sunning rocks and then they attack each other at “Joan of Arc”.

Splash has pinned down Icepaw in this scene and Robinpaw tackles him off, but gets badly injured by Splash.

The Clans retreat and Splash walks left, looking smug while Icepaw and Robinpaw look tired and angry walking right.

Show Splash walking into a deep red and Icepaw and Robinpaw walking into a light yellow.

1:17-1:31 Part 6

Splash shrugs away Firepaw and Firepaw looks annoyed but walks away to heal some other cat.

Splash looks at his leader who has a kit standing next to him, Whitekit, and nods, basically saying this is your new apprentice.

Splash and Whitekit/paw touch noses in a meeting. Splash looks at Whitekit with an evil grin.

1:31-1:43 Part 7

Show Whitepaw crouching and having a practice fight with Splash.

Splash instructs her to use her claws and he does the same.

They return to camp a bloody mess, but Splash looks only happy.

1:43-1:57 Part 8

Show Splash becoming deputy and standing next to his leader proudly.

Then slide to Whitepaw becoming a warrior. Splash says something to her and she doesn’t show it, but is scared as Splash walks away.

1:57-2:11 Part 9

Show Splash walking as a kit and slowly aging up, more and more blood covering his pelt as he ages.

2:11-2:26 Part 10

Turn around Splash’s face and show him grinning then fade to black.

Get creative with this part and have fun with it.

2:26-2:40 Part 11

StarClan cats fade in and are looking at each other with knowing stares. Over this part, have their stars slowly blink out and their pupils turn red.

Show them staring into a pool of blood with Splashstar’s face in it.

2:40-2:52 Part 12

The StarClan cats look up at the camera and turn around, walking into the dark forest and disappearing.

2:52-3:04 Part 13

Splash is looking down at a weak leader and smiles before killing him.

He drops his leader in front of the Clan and have him say, “My turn”.

Whitebird looks slightly scared, but stands besides Splashstar.

3:04-3:18 Part 14

Splashstar declares war on SkyClan over sunning rocks and RiverClan looks scared but agrees.

Switch to Splashstar saying the same to a full gathering.

The SkyClan lead looks mad but agrees. Show a slash over her neck.

3:18-3:27 Part 15

Show Splashstar standing in black, face covered and dripping with blood.

Icestar tackles him and the background fades into sunning rocks with RiverClan and SkyClan fighting in the back, including Whitebird loosing against Robinwing.

3:27-3:40 Part 16

Show Splashstar kill Icestar and then Icestar getting up and killing Splashstar.

Get creative with this part and show them fighting a little before each killing but keeps the background black.

Right before the part ends, flash to show only 1 white star above Icestar’s head and 8 red ones and 2 white and 7 red above Splashstar to represent their lives left.

3:40-3:48 Part 17

Flip to SkyClan retreating and SkyClan walking back to camp.

3:48-3:58 Part 18

Icestar and Robinwing are badly injured and talking while Willowsplash heals them.

Lip sync Icestar saying “Joan. It’s true.”.

3:58-4:09 Part 19

Flash to both Icestar and Robinwing dead infront of Splashstar.

Pan up to his face and show him staring at Hawktalon in the reflection of his eyes.

4:09-4:23 Part 20

Show Hawkstar and Sorrelwing running across the moor then race to SkyClan camp where Splashstar has cornered Jumppaw.

4:23-4:36 Part 21

Jumppaw looks terrified until Hawkstar leaps in and tackles Splashstar, but is killed once.

Splashstar keeps him pinned down, ready to kill him again when he comes back.

Sorrelwing pushes Splashstar off as Hawkstar comes back.

4:36-4:52 Part 22

Splashstar is still recovering his balance when Hawkstar kills him and have a black background with just Hawkstar standing over Splashstar’s dead body.

Start to fade to black but have Hawkstar’s pupils turn the same red shade as Splashstar’s with a flash then fade to black quickly.

KITTENS!!!! they're all so cute :') and I'm so glad that Bub and Willowsplash have the opportunity to be parents, i think they're going to be fantastic at it.

yes, Frogkit is (vaguely) intended to be reincarnated Lee. i went with Frog instead of Leaping, just because neither Jaycall or Beefreckle was close enough with Lee that they'd name one of their kids after him, so the Frog thing is just an accident. he does have vitiligo, and is the first Fallenclan cat to have it!!! you'll have to be patient with me while i figure out exactly how i want to draw it. he's actually a much darker color as a 1 month old for some reason??? i was under the impression that they get More White not the other way around. idk, i'm just gonna use the little dude's sprite as a reference for how much white to give him as time goes on.

and yes, Spiderkit is named after Spiderclaw. Beefreckle wants to honor his brother's memory, i think.

ohhh so much going on this moon... Boulderpaw immediately means SO MUCH to me if i anything happens to him i'm exploding the entire world. coming from an enemy clan, terrified, begging to join... so much angst to be had here. he's the first masked tabby in Fallenclan, too!!

and SO MANY COUPLES. seriously guys come on. i feel like Owlscreech or Mudsplash or somebody just got so fed up with all the romantic tension and just shoved em all towards each other

and HAILCRASH. that interaction made me so sad bc. do you think she sees Hopethistle in her one surviving daughter. do you think that Cherrysplash sees Hopethistle in her, too?

okay so it looks like overall ppl are pretty divided about otterslip, but more people are apologists than ... uh .. not apologists idk? interesting! i personally like him as a character (i like all the sillies tbh) but believe his actions aren't really redeemable, regardless of whether or not he thought what he was doing was right. since jellyfish anon listed their favs i'll do that too >:)

sunwish! i just like her, i think even dead she's a neat character. i also like that she's a bit of an asshole/generally disliked by other cats, and i like the ~angst~ of her being forced into a role/destiny she didn't want, only to literally. be murdered! by the same cat who presumedly forced her into that role.

blizzardfang. she's cute, i like her chompers, and i guess i was the only one not to mistakenly think she's a tom?? lol. crowflame is also up there <3

evie, bluefern, newtscar. i'm grouping them together as well. i think they're fun and silly.

Everyone’s been limiting you for giving tidbits abt cats. So give me some tidbits you wanna share about any cat!!

-After giving her life to save the apprentices during the Rogue Attack, Toro became somewhat of a mythological figure to Fallenclan, especially to the young ones. Many kits like to pretend to be Toro during their games--this ferocious white cat with gleaming black horns and eyes like lit coals, protector of all those who need her.

-Ever since Henryclaw died, Poppyfeather and Brambletuft have gone for semi-regular long walks around the territory. sometimes they spend the whole time talking, but more often than not they just walk in silence, side by side, pelts brushing against each other.

-When Petalslip and Sunnytuft were kits, Willowsplash would spend hours telling them stories about her siblings. She wants to make sure they'll be remembered.

-When Feathersight visits the Glow-cave, he often speaks to his father, Hare. He was a kittypet, and didn't believe in Starclan, so in order to see him Feathersight has to cross Starclan's borders into the unknown. When he told this to Silverbelly, he was shocked to learn he's the only Fallenclan cat to have ever done so.

-Lightningtail still visits Lilystem, her Archclan mate, on occasion. The only cat who knows this is Crowflame, who reluctantly swore to never tell a soul, unless Lightningtail were to die prematurely, in which case he was instructed to tell Mossfrog who her father was.

sending this as an ask but also putting it in the discord (if you can find a way to put this under a cut so that it doesn't become a scrolling hazard i would love that, but if not possible then this can remain a discord list!)

so considering fallenclan is definitely entering a new era with ravenstar, i decided to make a list of who i think his supporters will be. i believe most of the cats who become his lackeys are going to be those that are young and impressionable. i believe cats like crowflame, evie, willowsplash, etc. who remember life under goldenstar's leadership are actually going to vehemently be in opposition to ravenstar. exiling elders theory is actually pretty legit! (in my clangen files, when i don't want to exile a cat bc i'll lose track of them, i keep them in the clan but add something to their name or desc to note that they're "exiled" or a part of a resistance or something if the leader is evil). these are all just theories and my own ideas about the characters ofc

anyway here's the list:

levi---this one is a given. we don't know much about him other than that he's bloodthirsty and was taken into the clan by ravenstar.

flamefall---ravenstar's first and only (at this point) apprentice. has the nervous trait so i'm assuming he finds ravenstar to be quite intimidating. he was the cat to remind cherrystar about feathersight's omen, which led to her making ravenstar deputy. i don't flamefall is inherently malicious, but i do believe he could be coerced or threatened into doing ravenstar's bidding.

sleepydawn---a cat who's sick of living in his dead father's shadow, wanting to make a name for himself... by being a part of ravenstar's inner circle. has the bloodthirsty trait as well. i think sleepydawn is a very jaded and bitter cat and ravenstar will play into that quite a bit. he had the insecure trait as an apprentice so i feel he desperately wants approval. ravenstar gives him this approval.

patchback---a bit uncertain on this one. she was exiled from her previous clan and probably feels beholden to fallenclan for taking her in. perhaps she will follow ravenstar more closely out of fear of being exiled again. she has the fierce trait which makes me think she can be quite intimidating/fiery when provoked.

frecklefox---i view him as being rowdy and chaotic but not particularly cruel. i think he'd start out more as a lowkey follower who antagonizes cats who "don't support" ravenstar and slowly becomes more devote.

hazelthorn---she's charismatic and an unusually strong fighter. i see her as being someone who listens and observes all amongst the clan and then reports back to ravenstar (warning him about potential "traitors").

toadbelly---a chill guy. or is he?

marshpaw & bearpaw---putting these two together because they're both righteous. ravenstar did promise to "look after" them, after all.

sootstep---her apprentice trait was ambitious and her current trait is loyal. gives the impression of someone who seeks to move up in the clan's ranks and scorns cats she finds disloyal to ravenstar.

i honestly can't see a lot of the characters that have been already well established as being in support of ravenstar but uh. here's my list

It's a little difficult to keep track of who's related to who.. who were Bluefern's kits?

no worries :) Bluefern has eight kits technically, though only six were biological, since she's in a polycule with Newtscar and Evie. these are her bio kits

in order, Willowsplash, Icekit, Smokekit, Mistyfish, Ravenkit, and Sleepycloud. Willowsplash is the oldest, and the only one still alive. Icekit, Smokekit, and Ravenkit died in a rogue attack, Mistyfish died of greencough, and Sleepycloud just recently drowned. Below are her two non-biological kits, who are both still alive, Ripplefade and Pebblefreeze

random cat-specific headcanons

or i guess. canons. since im the guy who made the clan.

-silverbelly is extremely soft on any cat/kit that joined the clan young. especially if they're around the same age she joined the clan, 3 moons. she always takes extra care to show them around camp and assure them if they ever need medical attention she wants them to come and tell her, and she promises she'll help. because of this, a lot of cats who joined the clan young are also very soft on her in return, and will sometimes just come to the medicine den to hang out.

-Wormshade has TERRIBLE allergies. the worst. in newleaf his nose gets extremely itchy and he keeps scratching it even when Flyspots keeps telling him not to. sometimes it makes the scar on his nose hurt from all the itching, poor fella. his kids (Beefreckle & Mothspots) make fun of him endlessly for this.

-on the topic of FlyWorm. flyspots absolutely BEGGED wormshade to name their kits after bugs when they came along. wormshade wanted to name one of them after Nick, but agreed that Nickkit was a weird name and they went with bugs instead.

-Maplestar & Applebranch both forget that Honeygleam is dead sometimes. every so often they'll be hanging out and instinctively go to say something to him and find he isn't there.

-Silverbelly still has some of the dried herbs that were always stuck in Stormsight's pelt. she found them on her fur after the vigil and tucked them away in a little crevice. sometimes when she's really missing him she'll lie down and rest her face on them.

-about 80% of the clan is under the impression that Juniperfoot, Myrtleclaw, and Sandsnap are dating. this includes Ospreyswipe (Juniper's brother).

-when Hawkwish lost her leg, Applebranch helped her with her physical therapy, giving her tips on how to improve her balance after losing a limb. this brought them really close, and now sometimes Hawkwish will go to the elder's den after a long day and hang out with her grandma, who is happy to listen to her vent, chatter on about nothing, or just sit in silence and wash her granddaughter's ears.

-Eaglestripe & Hawkwish were never very close to Rabbitpounce. he didn't mean to have kits with Molesong, and (with Molesong's permission) wasn't really interested in raising them. he was more like the socially awkward uncle to them than a dad. despite this, Rabbitpounce was the one who gave Eaglestripe her full name when she went to receive it at the glow-cave.

-Willowsplash and Bub are the WORST EVER cats to get in an argument with (closely followed by Bluefern, Evie, & Newtscar). they will not only verbally tear you to shreds (backing each other up the entire time) but they find any and all attempts at retaliation funny. absolutely infuriating couple that loves to get silly with it.

-Bluefern and Newtscar were best friends since they were kits. they grew up in the nursery together, and then they were apprentices together. when Evie joined the clan, they would sometimes laugh about how they both had a crush on him, and along the way, they realized they both had a crush on each other, too. they became mates with the hope that Evie would soon join them.

-Waspflight often feels overshadowed by her siblings, but covers up this insecurity with an energetic personality, and lots and lots of jokes. she had a little crush on Salmonskip when they were apprentices, but grew to see her more as a sister when Salmon and Moosefall started to date.

-Mossfrog isn't sure how she feels about possibly being deputy one day. she knows that a lot of the clan expects her to, since she was always a prodigy and graduated so early, but she's terrified of the idea of being in charge of an entire clan, even if she does like the idea of being able to look after them. sometimes she wishes she could be deputy without the expectation of being leader.

-most of the cats around his age have a crush on Myrtleclaw. hes charming like that.

-out of all of her siblings, Hailcrash was always the least close with Moonstep. they got along, sure, but they weren't best friends--despite this, she still relies on him a lot, even if she's a little older than him (Moonstep is the youngest of all Toro's kits).

-Maplestar was always the leader of the bunch (the bunch being him, Honeygleam, Applebranch, Silverbelly, & Dawnshine) when they were young. he was the most mature, and a good decision maker, so he often found himself reining in Honey, Dawn, and Apple's chaos, and stepping up when Silver was too shy to. because of this, they would sometimes jokingly call him Maplestar. Applebranch always secretly thought he'd make a great leader; turns out she was right.

-Boulderstep still sometimes worries that clanborn Fallenclan cats don't trust him, since he came from a clan that was, at the time, at war with them. Fallenclan is on better terms with Shallowclan now, but he still makes a point to avoid their borders, and not mingle with any Shallowclan cats at gatherings.

-on the topic of gatherings. the first gathering that Maplestar attended as leader, he almost called it quits and went home. he still thinks that he's never felt as awful as he did in that moment, as all the clans watched him step out of the crowd and jump to the top of the gathering rock, where his father had stood for as long as most cats could remember. the only thing that kept him there was Applebranch grinning at him from the crowd, even as she cried.

-though Sorrelstem still misses Otterslip, the memory of him has become less soft over time. she never went out looking for him (though she often wanted to), but she always told her kits that he was on the right side of history. sometimes, as time went on, she wondered if that was true.

-Teddyfluff was glad that Otterslip got exiled. he gave him the creeps. he would rather die than admit this to his beloved wife.

-Crowflame tries not to show it, but sometimes he's insecure about his scars. he's easily the most scarred cat in the clan, and some cats (especially kits and apprentices) will stare at him, or make a remark. Blizzardfang (his mate) has become excellent at figuring out when he's feeling especially awful. if complimenting how handsome he looks that day doesn't work, she'll simply stand on his scarred side and press up against him until her fur covers the injury. he pretends to be mad, but secretly loves being close to her.

-Yewberry has a very short temper. Brambletuft has helped him soften it a little, but he still finds himself set off by some things--particularly if any cat brings up Otterslip. he'll snap at them to shut up and forget about the past, and usually stalk off. more lighthearted things that make him mad are when Ivybounce calls him "little brother" (he's only a few minutes younger, thank you very much) or when people laugh about how much bigger Brambletuft is than him (he is NOT that small. fuck you).
