thinking about the h2o girlies as magical girls on this day

cleo in a cute sparkly blue outfit like her locket, or maybe purple since emma wears blue, too. she is the leader of the group since the shy, reserved one tends to be thrust into this position in magical girl media, and honestly i would love this for her. has powers over hydrokinesis, and also aerokinesis, so her element is air. idk i like to think that, since she's the leader, the girlies are all more powerful when she's with them? or mayhaps she is the only one able to trigger the magical girl transformation with her locket or sth. given her aerokinesis she is definitely the most proficient at flying too

emma definitely wears a pale blue get-up, maybe with white or silver accents like her locket. she has ice and snow powers obvi, and is able to control clouds and storms with cleo and rikki's help. definitely takes to being a magical girl easily, but struggles with cleo being the main decision-maker of the group since she sees herself as a leader. water is her element, and i can totally see her with healing abilities à la katara avatar the last airbender. i think reckoning with these powers would help her overcome her jealousy and control issues with cleo, since emma is deeply compassionate at her core, seeing herself as someone who helps others above all else

rikki for sure has an adorable red 'fit, mayhaps with accents of orange or black. her element is fire, a pyrokinetic queen who can conjure up lightning in an instant. she probably takes to being a magical girl the easiest out of the three of them. she thinks the transformation is the coolest thing to ever happen to them, maybe to anyone, while cleo and emma struggle with the secrecy and their new roles within the dynamic. def starts dating zane in secret and hates having to conceal her powers from him

i am an earthbender!bella truther first and a person second, so i am giving miss girl earth powers. she can create earthquakes and manipulate flowers and plants too, because i say so. she probably has a green locket and an outfit to match. i'm gonna give charlotte powers over quintessence, the fifth element, like fellow redhead extraordinaire will vandom; she is able to shoot miscellaneous power bolts from her hands, can speak to animals, and animate inanimate objects, especially those that are electric. a purple locket and matching sparkly outfit is necessary (or pink, if cleo wears purple)

i notice lewis and zane wear a lot of white and black respectively, so if (and that's a very big if) either are involved in the magic of it all, they definitely wear the two opposing colours. not sure what their powers might be but they definitely both deserve midriff-exposing, wing'd outfits too. if lewis has powers they are definitely something science-oriented, while zane is a proficient engineer in canon, so perhaps he could be like an atla-type metalbender? i do like the idea of lewis and zane as accompaniments to charlotte's powers, since they are both 'additions' to the group and arguably could be sympathetic to her, too

where the 1950s girlies fit into this whomst knows. thanks for coming to my insomnia-induced rant 🥰

Dark

Phobos was never really scared of the dark growing up.

He adored the shadows and dark webs of mystery and chaos that comes with it.

He lives for the beings that come out of the night. . . He loves it.

The small prince laughs and claps as he walks in a circle with the midnight fairies that flutter around him with airy giggles that echo as their wings glow and shimmer like stardust from the sky. He reaches his frail hands up to caress one-

He screams and falls on his behind as the agonizing screams of the fairies nuzzle deep within his brain forever as they burn and fall dead. He whips his head around to see his father, face stern in worry yet uncaring, standing tall and unbreakable with arms firmly crossed.

The darkness was his only happiness. . .

Phobos jerked his head up when he awoke from that nightmare of a memory, his throat was sore and dry as his forehead was cold and damp. Much like the cell he woke up in again. Taking large long gulps of air as if it were merely water from a nearby stream he needed to survive, he shakily sat up ever so slowly from the cold stall slab he dare tried to call a bed for months, maybe even years. How how he desires to be buried in deep comfort of his castle bed again. . .

Soon, the sound of the rowdy prison reach his ears again as he soon press his cold hands on his thinner face, itchy and bumpy with the lack of face care he grew familiar with since childhood... Soon, the taste of metallic spit was boring to him as he rubs his sore rib cage and flat stomach, more so stuck inward after years of his normal diet eating was thrown away with mere stale soggy bread beside a cup of sour milk... Soon, he felt the need to weep as he ran his fingers through his pale fair webs of his once luscious golden firm strings, hoping the dark shadows don't eat him away as it has done already in his early life...

"Prince Phobos."

His icy eyes snap open, burning with the earn of tears and need of proper sleep and eating, he turned his head to the prison's electric bars. With weak knees he stood and walked to the edge dangerously close and stared down.

His heart sank down pass the cold stone floors as he saw the crimson red like fire. His hands shook at those beautiful wings that shimmer in colors like an oil painting flapping in the wind. His mouth craved and grew dry at those brown eyes that stare up at him in ease.

Will Vandom, the leader of the Guardians that put him here several times now.

"As pardon on Queen Elyon of Meridian's end and on The Guardian's part, you are hereby on thin iced parole Phobos." Said the prison guard before the Guardian lifts her hand up and let lighting bugs shine and dance out her finger tips like threads. Phobos watched it all in awe, unable to properly figure out what he is experiencing. . .

This is kind of fun to do since I am still working on upcoming chapters of my W.I.T.C.H. fic and I like to think of this as a fun prompt for a maybe future chapter

Cornelia used to have a normal life. She was very popular in school and an accomplished ice skater.

Sometimes felt like her parents paid more attention to her younger sister than her, but other than that life was seemingly perfect.

Her only plan for the future was graduating college.

Those dreams got thrown out the door when she discovered she could control the Earth element and was a Guardian with intense responsibilities.

Her new team of other Guardians found and dragged her to Porthaven where there’s supposedly a tear in the Veil between dimensions.

Often wishes she could go back to the way things were.

sit still, look pretty. flowers weaved into golden hair. the sound of skates on ice. your teardrops will water the seeds of your garden. fair as a rose, sharp as its thorns. watch as she blooms. shades of green and the brilliance of gold. the soft purr of a cat. floral printed girl. lock up your heart, no one will hurt you but yourself. crystal bottles of perfume. the elegance of classical. in one hand the world, in the other a broken heart. you’re stronger than this.

Cornelia Hale: the girl with seemingly everything she could ever want. Growing up, her mother was rather strict and taught her how to act like the upper class lady she was supposed to be. She wanted to make sure Cornelia turned out perfect. Her father spoiled her all the time - though if you ask Cornelia, it was to make up for neglecting his family for his work.

The lack of attention that came after her sister was born hurt, but it was also surprisingly freeing. She hadn’t realized how much of her life her parents (mostly her mom) controlled until then. Elyon Brown was a friend her parents didn’t 100% approve of since the other’s family was very much middle class, but without them hovering over Cornelia’s shoulder she was able to spend much more time with her soon to be best friend.

At the age of seven Cornelia decided to pursue figure skating as a sport rather than just a hobby. By the time she was fifteen her wall was covered in gold medals (and a few silver she kept in the corner).

Moving the summer before her senior year was one of the hardest things Cornelia has ever done. Not only was she leaving behind the only home she’d ever known, but she was also leaving behind Elyon. Cornelia didn’t have a say in the matter. Her father had gotten a once in a lifetime promotion and they were moving to some asteroid owned by Yen Sid and that was that.
