Hey, you know the two imposter Albedos from version 2.3 Shadows Amidst Snowstorms? The real Albedo and the prototype Albedo are synthetic humans alchemically created by “Gold” Rhinedottir as part of her Primordial Human Project. The Fellflower Albedo is a mutated Cryo Whooperflower made by the prototype Albedo during the event.

Between the real Albedo (the Kreideprinz), the primordial/prototype Albedo (the failure that was left in Durin’s stomach), and the Fellflower/corrupted Whooperflower Albedo (the Cryo one that attacked the team)—

Trying to think of emojis that’d evoke Whooperbedo, Klee, Albedo, and Dorian the fastest

Whooperbedo

❄️ emoji refers to how he’s a Cryo Whooperflower

🌺 emoji (a red flower) kind of works since his Fellflower form is flower-like with red tips but he’s not associated with red as a colour

Klee

🍀 emoji matches her clover motif

🐰emoji kind of looks like Dodoco (a rabbit-like plush) but rabbits aren’t her main motif

💥emoji is too spiky-looking to be associated with her

Albedo

(three four-pointed yellow) ✨ emoji looks like the mark of imperfection on his neck but other Khaenri’ah characters are also associated with the four-pointed star so it doesn’t work too well

🌻emoji matches his Solar Isotoma (a yellow flower) and it’d also share a plant motif with Klee’s clover

Dorian

(blue)💎emoji works (for my personal interpretation) since the winter event introduces the symbolism of a shiny vs dull Starsilver (a grey-blue rock)

❄️emoji refers to the winter event but it overlaps with Whooperbedo too much

Drawing mindlessly is fun

Y’know I’m kinda debating on Fellflower Rubedo(?) Whoopy? Whoopy’s hairstyle ‘cause it’s kinda hard to translate the Whooperflower shape into a hairstyle but for now he’ll just be babyfaced with petal-looking bangs

Dorian’s coat for now has longer, puffier sleeves, puffier hoody, but shorter gloves from Albedo’s outfit ‘cause it’s kinda fun to see how the proportions of the outfit can vary… Rather than out of “copying Albedo” I’d say it’s to make him “feel more like an alchemist” since Albedo’s outfit is the default alchemist outfit

I’ve always wondered what this cheerful and super upbeat vibe in Contemplation in Snow represents

But while listening to it with my eyes closed and thinking about Albedo just now, I realized:

It represents Klee and her positive influence on him, doesn’t it

(And then Klee’s leitmotif literally shows up at the very end of the track)

Me, who’s been thinking about Shadows Amidst Snowstorms today:

(On the assumption that Alice is imitating Rhine since the themes mentioned were also in Shadows Amidst Snowstorms)

(Even though it’s just Alice imitating Rhinedottir, why does that sound so harsh)

(Likewise Dorian and Whooperbedo mimicked Albedo’s behaviour but Dorian especially didn’t accept that humans are imperfect (hence perhaps subconsciously erasing his mark))

Me: wait, lemme just check how it was originally

Chinese: “咳咳…哼，模仿又如何？对人类的描摹和学习本就是无意义的愚行…”

Me, after fumbling with the definitions of 描摹 and 愚行: “Ahem… Hmph, and what of imitation? It has always been a meaningless act of folly to copy and learn from humanity…”

THAT’S SO HARSH… If this was ever her reaction to the events of Shadows Amidst Snowstorms (in which everything Dorian did was in hopes of ultimately blending in as a human and have friends) Dorian would probably have a crisis

我听说过二号被称为「阿贝少」，三号为「花贝多」，对应的应该是「Susbedo」和「Whooperbedo」？不对…「Albedon’t」与「Flowerbedo」?

I am thinking about Shadows Admist Snowstorms’ canon plot and how it doesn’t match my expectations for it based on what I’ve seen from the trailer and fan art. Basically, some sorta rewrite…

(Mostly just me fulfilling my dream of a bitter Subject 2 monologue towards Albedo about Rhinedottir)

First of all, the whole Winter Training Camp plot can be cut out since it wouldn’t change anything… Eula, Amber, and Bennett’s goal is to get down from the mountain, but that’s a result of the Winter Training Camp plot, and there could be another way for them to meet on the mountain… Eula and Amber are mostly there for fluff during the Albedo-cooks-for-everyone scene. Eula gets a bit with Traveler on suspecting Whooperbedo’s true identity; that part is fine. In the Fellflower fight aftermath, Amber explains how a Whooperflower works but then Albedo can sum it up himself…

And then there’s the way Albedo just reveals to us info on Rhinedottir and him being a humunculus, and then how he was created with the mark. The way he just pulls us aside tells us (breaking the show, don’t tell rule), and also how he talks about the Primordial Human Project in an internal monologue with it not being brought up again later—

And then, Subject 2’s plan on replacing Albedo with the Fellflower as a distraction… We need to know his motivations explicitly instead of Albedo musing about it (in a cutscene monologue that no other character hears, nonetheless). Maybe, he could reveal his intentions some more (cryptically?) when we first meet him at the cave first. Either through subtext or metaphors… Or, he could reveal his intentions in a monologue about his backstory?

What if we get a confrontation between Subject 2 and Albedo? (That’s that I had expected based on fanart.) With the Traveler’s life on the line, Subject 2 forces Albedo, Traveler, and Paimon to submit, with the Fellflower as his henchman. And then, now with an audience, Subject 2 reveals bitterly his origins (Primordial Human project, the star mark, homunculi) and Rhinedottir’s maltreatment towards him through a villainous backstory monologue, and talks about perfection and love (as a result of Rhinedottir’s treatment, again). And he’d have a motive for doing so, since he’d be proving to us that he’s the “original” version through this while finally having his untold story heard, thus gaining our sympathy.
