the beautiful tragedy of a character you fall madly in love with who was always meant to have this one short arc that then plays out perfectly and you’re sad about it and you know you’ll miss them but that’s kind of what makes it beautiful? like they burn so brightly for such a quick time and leave such an impact and that just makes it all so much stronger. anyway i’ve been thinking a lot about eddie munson and inevitable tragedy today. 

#i was listening to an interview with the duffers where they described him as doomed from the start #and like. yeah #gOd i love tragedy #*looks guiltily at my 10 song eddie playlist which is almost entirely songs i associate with his death and choices in the end* #and i know lots of people want him back but it just. wouldn't make sense #joe quinn wants to come back i know and has been talking with cast members about how through like. imagination and flashbacks and stuff #which i think would be cool because i do love joseph and would love to see more of him #the duffers also said that eddie's death will have huge repercussions in season 5?? #which is interesting to me because they made it out like dustin was the only one who even cared #this is just me going a little insane but #i think it would be neat if the mind flayer or something like it got into eddie's body which they left in the upside down #and started going around doing terrible things #and like they can't try to save him or anything because he's dead and there's nothing to save #they just have to watch his body get puppeted like that #which would further ignite the fury against hellfire and the kids #which could lead to some interesting exploration of like. yes el did open the door to the upside down AND create vecna #idk #i think too much #stranger things #st4 #eddie munson
