Paragliders are the worst dog owners. They just let their dogs our on launch/landing zones and then take off and fly away for 20-60 minutes. Are their dogs friendly? Most are, but not all. Will they get into your stuff? Likely. Will some chase other paraglider pilots when they are launching and landing? Likely. Will they harass other dogs? Probably. 60% are well behaved dogs that just hang out. Yet its the 40% that is just obnoxious.

There are always a handful of dogs just wandering around on launch when it’s flyable. Always one that will chase and bark at people when they launch and land. A handful of those will nip at people as they are launching and landing. Its just obnoxious and terrible etiquette. 

#I mean I'm a person that brings my dog to launch #but I also put her in the car when I'm flying #had a dog yesterday that was saying hello to aayla while I was laying down #I could tell aayla was a little annoyed by his over friendly nature #but then he crawled into my lap and started jumping on top of me #i was trying to stand up and push him away when aayla stepped in to correct him #after the correction the dog went around me and started barking at aayla #which meant I had a bully breed dog barking IN my face #it really pissed me off #I was finally able to stand and chased it off before the owner noticed and called it #he came over to apologize #but how did he not notice his dog was bothering us first? #why did it take me yelling 'get' and chasing his dog
