Paragliders are the worst dog owners. They just let their dogs our on launch/landing zones and then take off and fly away for 20-60 minutes. Are their dogs friendly? Most are, but not all. Will they get into your stuff? Likely. Will some chase other paraglider pilots when they are launching and landing? Likely. Will they harass other dogs? Probably. 60% are well behaved dogs that just hang out. Yet its the 40% that is just obnoxious.
There are always a handful of dogs just wandering around on launch when it’s flyable. Always one that will chase and bark at people when they launch and land. A handful of those will nip at people as they are launching and landing. Its just obnoxious and terrible etiquette.

GIRL GANG • KISS IT BETTER • MASTERLIST
by: @kylo-renne + @kyloholic
Summary: Everybody loves him, he’s the most up and coming Jedi Knight, and Ben Solo reigns supreme. But he has many vices, and with you as his new competition they will begin to show. Quickly, you become a threat to his reputation, and you will not back down. Eventually, something’s got to give.
Word Count: 2.5K
Ben smirked as he noticed a few girls watching him train, this always seemed to happen to him as of late. Why wouldn’t they when he was at such a high skill level? They probably hoped that they could learn something from watching him. He was flattered, but if the same time if they focused on their own training and not his, perhaps they could increase their skill level.
He frowned once he saw you enter the room with Luke, great just what he needed. He stared you down, but not paying attention to the training remote left him with the burning sensation of a simulated blaster shot. Girls giggling filled his ears as he scrunched up his nose, grumbling under his breath he turned his attention away from you. At least, he tried to.
Even if it was just a practice saber, it felt right to hold it in your hands and you naturally moved to a fighting stance. Luke chuckles, “Not just yet, I have to teach you some moves first.” Your eagerness to fight isn’t surprising, he can feel your force energy crackling around him, just getting ready to be used.
Ben feels it too, and it annoys him how distracting it is. If he were your Master he would’ve taught you to control yourself by now. Another simulated shot hit him, leaving a second angry red welt on his neck. Those took a while to heal too, damn.
You mirror Master Luke’s actions, before practicing them. The weight of the wooden saber feels right in your hand and you can feel the force flowing through you as you wield it, just as Master Luke told you to try. It was like you knew what to do intuitively, and your theory was proven right once you perfectly blocked a surprise attack. “You really are a natural,” Luke compliments.
Ben misses a third shot when he hears that, wanting to wretch. His Uncle never said stuff like that to him, he was incredibly hard on him and he was his Uncle! What he didn’t realize was that Luke knew that you would do much better with encouragement, and that in fact you really needed the extra confidence in your abilities if you were to succeed.
“Y/n why don’t we try the training remote over there by Ben?” Luke points. You nod, but feel nervous about training alongside him. You almost wished to go back to the blissful ignorance of this morning.
“Now, I want you to focus, feel the force flowing through you and you’ll be able to block each shot. You can borrow my lightsaber for this.” You try not to get too excited when he hands it to you, smiling when the blade hums to light.
Ben shakes his head, were you a child? To find that much wonder in a lightsaber was pretty immature, you were like a youngling. He’d have to ask you how old you were later. This time, he didn’t let himself get shot. But he laughed when you did, feeling much better about himself.
Did he just laugh at you? And that hurt, better ignore him. You tried to keep Luke’s words in mind as you focused on the droid, but it was difficult to try and focus on the force and to try and not get shot. Luke turns off the remote for a moment, “Breathe, just breathe. Feel the force flow through you and trust it, as it will guide you.”
Something about his words resonate you, and the next time he turns on the training remote you don’t miss a block. Unbeknownst to you Luke keeps on increasing the difficulty of the remote, seeing how far you can go. You move faster now to block each bolt, finally finding your focus.
Ben tightens his jaw when he notices that you’re now training at the same level that he is, hardly even breaking a sweat even though he’s drenched. Maybe he needed some more cardio. Yet another miss, and he throws his lightsaber to the ground. He was done with this exercise for today.
“Where are you going?” Luke asks him.
“To meditate,” Ben mumbles. Luke scratches his beard, wondering why his nephew was getting so jealous. Perhaps he felt challenged by you. No matter, it was his own fault for being so prideful. Hopefully meditation would help, because green was not his color.
Later that evening you met up with the girls in the common room again, deciding to go to dinner with each other. “Hey Y/n how was your first day of training?” Aayla asked.
“It was good, I feel like I made a lot of progress and Luke said I’m a natural.” You smile thinking of his encouragement.
“That’s great! Too bad you didn’t get to be Ben’s padawan though,” Minh winks suggestively, making you blush.
“Aww you really like him huh?” Kit asked.
“No, it’s not like that!” You feel defensive after what happened today. It’d be even more embarrassing if you liked him. Besides, you couldn’t imagine that being his padawan would be very fruitful if he was the type to laugh at you when you made a mistake. Thinking about it made you kind of down, what happened to the nice side?
“Oh my stars, but did you see him train today? Those biceps…” Minh trailed off.
“Yeah I was right besides him,” You murmur, feeling more down at the memory of that disaster.
“Oooh you must’ve gotten a pretty good look then, ugh I love to watch him train. He gets all sweaty and it’s so hot,” Aayla sighed dreamily.
“You guys!” You did not want to hear about how hot Ben Solo was right now, yes it was true but it seemed like there was a lot more too him than just looks and it wasn’t all pretty.
“Oh come on, we know you like him,” Kit teased.
“I don’t know, I mean what about Rey? She seems to have some interesting things to say about him,” You think of your conversation earlier.
“Well we don’t really talk to her a lot, she’s kinda a loner,” Minh explains. For some reason, you doubted that. From what you could tell, Rey was quite friendly. Sure she was a little younger but she was very nice, and frankly you didn’t see a good reason not to talk to her. You decide to keep your thoughts to yourself, and simply nod.
“Oh there he his!” Kit whispers, subtly pointing out Ben. He had a few people following him as he entered the cafeteria, like he was their leader or something. He immediately spotted you, narrowing his eyes as he looked at you with distaste.
“What was that?” Aayla asked. She had never seen Ben give such a mean look.
You sighed, even more down. You just wanted to make friends, and for some reason he wanted to be your enemy. He didn’t have to necessarily like you in return, you could accept that but you didn’t understand what you could be doing wrong for him to treat you this way. He seemed to be friendly to everyone else except you, winking at the other girls at the table so they’d quickly forget the sour look he gave you. “I’m going to go outside for a bit okay guys?” You say, leaving your friends at the table.
For the second time today, you sit besides Rey on the steps to the temple, tilting your head back to look at the sky. “Hi Y/n,” Rey greets you. She’s surprised to see you again, she knew you had other friends to eat with yet you still came out here.
“It’s much more peaceful here,” You comment, enjoying the break from the constant chatter of the cafeteria.
“It is, I like eating out here,” Rey says, finishing her last bite of food.
“Do you always eat out here?” You ask. It was bugging you, there had to be a reason why she always alone.
“Yes...it’s difficult for me to make friends here.”
“Why?” You want to know, she didn’t seem to have any issues.
“I’m Luke’s daughter and I guess people are jealous, it doesn’t help that Ben’s turned all his friends against me.” That really bothered you; Ben was supposed a symbol of the Jedi temple, creating a welcoming and friendly community. Yet instead he couldn’t even get along with his own cousin.
“Well Rey, if you ever see me we can hang out, I’d even consider you a friend.” Rey smiled hopefully at that, the sincerity of your kindness was refreshing. Maybe with you here things would finally change for the better.
“I’d like that Y/n.”
“Great! I’ll see you around,” You wave as you leave. You were happy to make a new friend, it made you feel a little better about the whole Ben situation.
That is, of course, until you walked back into the temple. You were just about ready to go to your room until a small group caught your attention. From afar, a girl stood in front of Ben. You could sense her anxiety; the way she stood, foot shifting in it’s spot as she held her hands together. She was nervous, but, why? “Ben...I-” Swallowing, Ben looked at her with a raised brow. “I’ve been meaning to confess to this for a long time now.”
“Confess?” He questioned, a small grin on his lips. It wasn’t welcoming at all, it was devious...there was something evil behind it.
“Yes, I...I’ve liked you for a while now and I thought it was time to admit to it.” She said, now looking up at him as his eyebrows lifted.
“You...like me?” He asked, she nodded. “You like me? Wow.” He chuckled, your eyebrows narrowing as you listened in. “That’s...that’s a shame.”
“Huh?” She questioned.
“Look, I’m sorry but...you’re not my type. You’re a padawan, you’re still in the first levels of training. Plus, you’re young.” He shrugged.
“I’m only a year younger than you?” She shook her head, tears burning in her eyes. She felt humiliated.
“You look fifteen to me.” Ben blatantly said, causing her to gasp. “Sorry.”
“Ugh!” Shaking her head, she ran off, right past you as the wind hit you while you watched her go. This was the man everyone praised? The man that everyone loved and adored? You couldn’t believe you were falling for it, too!
Biting your tongue as your fists clenched, you shook your head. He had hit a new low. To humiliate a girl after confessing? He could’ve let her down much more gently than that. You were disappointed, to seem the last. And that seemed to be a constant thing. Ben kept on proving himself wrong and you weren’t about to have it.
“Y/n?” Hearing someone call out to you as you had practically stormed back to your room, you heard heavy footsteps follow, as if they had been running. “Is everything alright?”
Stopping in your tracks, you turned and faced whoever it was--Aayla. “No.No, actually.”
“What do you mean?” She asked, confused.
“I want nothing to do with Ben.” You said, catching her off guard.
“What happened? I thought you liked him?”
“Liked, keyword. He’s been nothing but a jerk to me for the past two days, and now I see him straight up dismissing a girl who confused and laugh in her face?” You spoke in disgust.
“R-really?” Aayla asked, eyebrows knitted.
“He made her cry. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want to be around someone who makes other girls cry.” At that, you turned around and walked off.
“Wait! Y/n!” Rushing up to you, she grabbed your arm. “What did he say?”
“He laughed in her face and said she was too young. She's only a year younger, Aayla. A year. What makes you think me, someone who is nineteen and he's probably twenty two, would end up with him?” You pointed your hand out. It was clear to Aayla that his had struck you--badly. You were so sweet and gentle, but now you were raging and you weren't taking anything, not one bit. You were a rose with thorns. Something that shouldn't be underestimated. “Ben Solo is nothing but a cocky, no good, egotistical jerk!”
Blinking, Aayla felt her shoulders drop. She hated to admit to it, but you were right. “He is…”
“Huh?” You scrunched up your nose.
“I’ve never told the other girls but, when I first started training, lightsaber training, he laughed at me because I’d miss the blows.” She lightly drowned, looking at the ground.
“Aayla...then, why do you like him?” You asked.
“Because, I didn't want them to think any less of me for not liking Ben Solo.” She muttered, as if fearing anyone other than you would hear.
“Who cares what they think? You don't deserve to be disrespected. I don't care who it is. And you know very well master Luke would not appreciate this-”
“D-don't tell him!” Aayla waved her hands. “Please…”
Sighing, you pushed your hand through your hair. “Something tells me master Luke already knows…”
“Ben has had plenty of moments, not just with girls, but boys too. Not as much, only the younger ones when they fail training assignments.” Aayla informed as your eyes widened.
“You have got to be kidding me.”
“But, that's a rarity. He barely bothers the guys.”
“And you guys let this happen?” You questioned.
“No one really sees it, only his group of friends on occasion.” She said, looking at you.
“Well, things are about to change.”
For the rest of the evening, you had spent it with Aayla searching for the girl, finding her and comforting her. After what felt like hours of talk, trying to calm her jumpy nerves and sporadic breathing, the girl--whose name came to be as Jay--felt more at ease. The more the three of you discussed, the less you were fond of Ben Solo.
That next morning, you found yourself with the two, walking along the halls and talking amongst yourselves; that is until you came to a halt. Ben had been at it again, terrorizing others. It was a girl who had been trying to train with the Force on her own, failing each chance and growing frustrated. Ben, and his gang of spider monkeys, laughed.
The moment tears had escaped her eyes, Aayla and Jay went to her and pulled her away, Ben watching with narrowed eyes as his laugh died down. This wasn't the only time it happened. It kept happening more and more as the days had passed him by. The more he bothered, the less he was praised.
By now, your small group had been filed up to at least six girls. Maybe more. Some came and go, busy with training or other matters, which you respected. They all had one thing in common: Ben Solo had done them wrong.
Mihn and Kit were oblivious as ever, still drooling over the hypocritical Ben Solo. As for you, you gained new friends who saw eye to eye with you. Even Rey joined in your group from time to time when she wasn't in the mood to be left alone.
The numbers were growing in your group and Ben’s number in worshippers were dropping. And he had no idea it was thanks to you.
