Appreciation post for LotRO NOT being a pay to win game. The only thing you have to pay for is access to certain content, after which point everyone is on even footing. And that's great!

#lotro #with the slight exception of the toolkit that gave you bonus landscape tokens that was released with gundabad #as this almost doubled the rate at which you could earn embers of enchantment from gundabad repeatables #not a full mark against them because you were still cut off by the hard quest limit #it just took less time to get there #but yeah anyway this post brought to you by someone swearing up a storm in the say channel at the forester event just now because #get this #someone was using a store toolkit #which in case anyone was unaware are no better than the best crafted toolkits and come as freebies with basically any paid content #and half of mine came for free from hobbit gifts anyway #'pay2win' my ass go touch grass sir #also your equipped toolkit doesnt affect gathering times for that event #the foresters axe that you pick up at the beginning of the event acts as your 'tool' for the duration #and theyre all the same
