Happy #throwbackknitsday everyone! 🧶 While we still have wonderful summer weather, the mornings can be a little chill. Lately the days start with about 15°C and then the temperature rises up to 30°C in the afternoon. 🌞 So, in the mornings I got to wear my Wesekh Sweater which is definitely one of my favorite knits I have ever made. #wesekhSweater I love all seasons and I really appreciate all the changes that comes with them. I woke up to a very gloomy and rainy day today. 🌧 So, I thought for this weeks #throwbackknitsday I'd share this picture of my Wesekh Sweater taken on a similar day in the fall of 2020. 🧶 #wesekhsweater This is one of my all time favorite sweaters and sometimes I feel I share it not often enough since it has been released for almost 2 years now. When a design is out there for this long, it usually seems to be burried under all the new releases and no longer found by lovely knitters like you. This is why I was super happy to find a post with a new Wesekh Sweater in the making today. I shared it in my stories today and you can also find it in the WESEKH highlight. 😍 It never ceases to be absolutely awesome to see someone knit from one of my patterns. Hello everyone, 👋 I hope you had a good start into the new week. Lately I am wearing my Wesekh sweater a lot. It is a pattern that I released in the beginning of 2021. #wesekhSweater Here is a little confession: I am not sure if it is the same for all designers (or any artists for that matter) but I definitely have some designs that I love more than others. And Wesekh is one of my all time favorites. I will never grow tired of it. For me it is one of those items that I can put on and instandly feel calmer, a little more confident, comfortable and, well, like myself. I don't know how you think about it, but I feel that knitwear can be really elegant sometimes. I mean, we all know that knitwear is super compfy and don't get me wrong, I love a big compfy sweater! 😍 But recently I have felt the urge to dress up a bit every once in a while. Maybe it is because there was no reason to dress up for so long, while we all stayed at home and life slowed down. Now things are slowly changing and I find joy in picking out one of my favorite sweaters - my WESEKH sweater #wesekhsweater - combing is with a fun dress, putting on some lipstick and nailpolish to make a normal day feel a little special! 🌞 What about you? ☆ JOGLESS STRIPES VIDEO TUTORIAL ☆ Have you ever wondered how to achieve jogless stripes while knitting in the round? 🤔 Well, actually it is quite easy. Let me explain the simple two steps it needs. 😊 The marker marks the place where you change color. • Step 1 - Video 1 When starting a new stripe make sure that the old color strand runs between your work and the new color strand. Then just knit the whole round until you reach your marker. • Step 2 - Video 2 (swipe!) After you finished the first round of the new color, i.e. you knit all stitches right up to your marker, you take the marker off. Then you pick up the stitch below your next stitch, which is in the color of the stripe below, and put it on your left needle. Now you knit the next stitch together with the stitch that you just picked up. After that you place the marker on your right needle and work the second round of the current stripe. When you reach your marker once more, work step 1 again to change color. That's it! 👍 Easy, right?!
