reasons why I really love Scott Pilgrim Takes Off

Ramona and her exes (sans Gideon, I guess) get closure

several characters get their personalities expanded. EX: Wallace goes from gay and a voice-of-reason to gay, self-obsessed, and a bad communicator in relationships.

Roxie becomes more than just Ramona’s “lesbian phase” in college and it is able to befriend Ramona again

Neil goes from being completely forgettable to being stupid enough for others to bounce off of and it’s so fun to watch

Knives gets to join Sex Bob-omb!

the war Scott vs. Older Scott being used to approach Scott’s immaturity/unwillingness to take accountability is very interesting

Todd has a bisexual awakening because of Wallace and doesn’t end up with him

Julie gets to be evil, as a treat

Matthew Patel overtaking Gideon was honestly unexpected, yet so satisfying to watch

if the post-credits clip means that there’s going to be a season 2, hope to see Scott get closure with his exes.

For some reason I felt the need to draw Steven and Wallace as young Pokémon trainers. I got a bit carried away and ended up making full Pokémon style character illustrations. Their designs are based on their designs from the original Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald.

I also added my own oc because, well, I think they would make a cute trio🥺 I’d like to imagine the three of them going on adventures together!

if you narrator was a cake what type of cake would he be

ooouhh... this is actually a question I've pondered myself, believe it or not.

And SINCE I have 3 Narrators, I'll give you an answer for EACH!!

Edgar, first of all, I think would be a Moon cake! For ..obvious reasons,, AND ALSO because the ORIGINS of Moon Cake's are spun from a fanciful legend of Moon Goddess Chang'e, who became a deity upon drinking a potion for immortality given by the gods to her heroic archer husband Hou Yi, celebrated for shooting nine of 10 suns from the sky. And since Edgar, himself, is technically a god, it's pretty fitting, no? A god made in Space, too. DOUBLE WHAMMY!!

As for Wallace, THAT silly TWAT, I think, would be a Caribbean Rum Cake. Not ONLY is it a cake based on an alcoholic drink, which works well because Wallace IS an alcoholic, BUT!! It ALSO has a similar plump, round, thickness which I think correlates well with Wallace's large, fat build & design if that makes ANY sense. I'm calling the cake large and huggable looking.

And Finally, for Remmy, I believe he'd be a Victorian Sponge Cake, though this ones very much up for being changed if I find a better fit. I'm not sure how to EXPLAIN myself for this one, apart from. Spongey, flavorful cake that may not look like much until you Actually Try It. Full of love and sponge,,<3
