During our trip to @vegas we decided to give one buffet a try though generally we’re not but buffet people. After much research, we decided to try The Buffet at @wynnlasvegas for lunch. These are just a few shots of some of the food and ambiance. We took our time, sat and talked about our adventures at the Grand Canyon in order to make the most out of our time. We wanted our kids to have experienced a Vegas buffet and we truly enjoyed this one. Did we get our monies worth? Probably not! We’re just not huge eaters at one time. We did enjoy the diversity of the food at this buffet and the service was excellent. Open daily with brunch served from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and dinner service from 3:30 to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. breakfast is available for $19.99 or $9.99 for children ages 3 to 8. Lunch during the week from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. costs $25.99 for adults and $12.99 for children. Dinner, which runs daily from 3:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., is $38.99 for adults and $18.99 for children on weekdays, with a one dollar price jump on the weekends. Brunch, available Saturday and Sunday, runs from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and the price of admission is $31.99 for adults or $15.99 for children. The VIP package, which places you at the front of the line, is available for an additional $12.00. Included in the package is a complimentary glass of Champagne, Mimosa, or Bloody Mary. There is also the option for bottomless Champagne, Mimosas, or Bloody Marys for another $12.00. Pro tip: get there as early as possible for brunch and be prepared to wait unless you’re willing to pay the per person VIP charge. This frugal mami passed on that. When in @vegas, you must get off the strip and head to @valley.of.fire! Pro tip: go early. The line for entry was long as left. We had the entire place to ourselves at 8:30 am. Pack water and snacks and respect the signs. Some areas are fine for climbing others are not. Cost: 10.00 per car. Our National Parks annual pass was not valid here. This was the best 10.00 that we spent in Vegas. I thought that we’d spend 2 hours exploring and 4 hours later, we left the park only because tacos were calling. It’s worth the 1 hour drive from Vegas to this massive state park. We saw big horn sheep and mountain goats and heard snakes. Let’s talk family friendly Vegas lodging. My prior trips to Vegas have been for adult business trips and I stayed on the strip at the @venetianvegas and @bellagio. For our first family trip to Vegas I choose the @marriottvacationclub @marriottgrandchateau. We loved the location, just one block from the strip near the Bellagio, free valet parking, security and smoke free - casino free lobby. While many Vegas hotel pools are closed in February, the roof top pool at this Marriott was open and heated. I’m a big believer in brand loyalty programs and we’re able to snag a great rare for this hotel with my platinum Marriott Rewards Status.
