Apparently a newer White Dwarf issue did another series of pages dedicated to hyping up the Darkmech and Vashtorr.

Apparently there has been a rise in Tech Heresy and sightings of Warp Mechanicum forces, some directly under Vashtorr's authoirty. The completion of Wyrmwood is attributed to this.

Iron Warriors and Black Legion particularly among the Chaos Marines, for obvious reasons.

Vashtorr adopted another war dog today. The one on the left finally joins his brother on the right after 4 months of sitting unpainted on my shelf.

With both of these Brigands finished, the only big model I have left in my CSM collection is my third forgefiend.

May be time to finally tackle the gold trim on my chosen and legionaires.

Day 6: One day I'll actually paint a miniature

Guess who finally built their vashtorr after almost a year!

THIS GUY!

He's been sitting in my shelf since the dark angels and csm combo box released in like last March or something. I was going to convert him to have a plague doctor mask ala percy from critical role season 1.

It felt so appropriate at the time, but I never actually sourced a proper head for him. Thus, on the sprue he languished until my partner and I were cleaning up and I wanted to get rid of my boxes of dudes. Only vashtorr was left in my chaos army box. So I just bit the bullet (hehe) and put him together.

It feels great to have him together though. The model is incredibly imposing, and the sprue is incredibly well layed out. This dude takes up only 2 sprues and could fit in a regular infantry box.

I can't wait to paint him, also bonus points for having a hammer :)
