Nice things can also come cheap.. this Rough Ryder RR2038 was 18$ shipped.. for that you get brass liners, micarta handels, great action and it's actually very well made! Yes, it's only 440a steel but for a work knife that's perfectly fine.

Swipe -> In the interest of always trying to improve and innovate within our company I did some testing in the Gulf of Mexico. First I completely submerged and used the knife in the ocean and on the beach. I then let it air dry in 90% humidity for over 2 hours. Once back at the room I rinsed in tap water, air dried and put in a padded case for a week without applying any oil of any kinds. Results are in the following pictures. Photo 1: Arven in the ocean, all parts were only tumbled with no finish applications Photo 2/3: CPM-M4 blade with small superficial rust spots Photo 4: CTS XHP breaker with heavy pitting and rust throughout Photo 5: AKS Pivot with superficial rusting where pressed into the lockside Photo 6: Ceramic/Bronze caged bearing with no visual effects Main Point: I enjoy data and charts just as much as the next person, but show me actual results from your hypothesis.
