croatian political opinions are so funny to me, there is no bipolar nation like this one. you can literally pick a man from the street and he will hold all these opinions simultaneously as true: fuck putin and russia, but also the usa is the worst nation on the earth and should be destroyed, and also its actually good that putin is standing up to them because someone should. usa should get out of middle east but also its good to have a world policeman but also who the hell are they to think they should be a world policeman, why do they think the world is their playground. west is so developed and we should all emigrate there because we can get jobs as plumbers but imigrants shouldnt come here because theyre taking jobs. at the same time west is terrible, but we should be a western country. things were better in yugoslavia but also it was a criminal state and we should kill all communists, but also the government should pay for everything and its ridiculous that it wont. socialism is a travesty but we should all get jobs in the govt offices and we should have more of those jobs, and there is so much bureaucracy but he hired a cousin in the city administration. capitalism is even worse than socialism though and it has ruined our lives, but the solution to it isnt socialism, but we should have a socialist state just not call it that way. in yugoslavia you couldnt vote for a new president but we should end all the elections because they waste money and nobody ever does anything, why are we paying for them. eu is terrible but also we are better than serbs because we are in the eu but also why is eu opressing us and why are we a part of it and why dont we get out, also if you want money you should apply for eu funds. we should all be paid in euros but it shouldnt be a national currency. he loves milanović and votes for hdz at the same time and hates the hdz prime minister because he is a dictator and should be removed, but also he will vote for hdz on the next elections because he wants a job in the city administration. he thinks that this is a third world country but if someone else says that, its not. immigrants should get out, except for his buddy who immigrated into croatia because he is an exception and is a cool guy so thats different. doctors shouldnt get bigger salaries but they should also stop being traitors and emigrating, but half of his family has emigrated to ireland. also ukrainian immigrants should get out of the country, however half of his family left for canada during 90es. we should bring back the mandatory military service, he avoided it because he had anemia. the prices here are too high to survive but we should increase them when tourist season comes and why are people complaining about the restaurant prices, if they cant afford them they shouldnt eat there, also he hasnt been to a restaurant in 10 years. look how developed slovenia is, theyre doing it right, but also we hate them, why do they think theyre better than us.

update on the whole boycott usa thing

so i've been reflecting on what things i actually use and might be giving money to that are from the usa. and while 'i only buy books and music and locally grown food' is kinda true (rip to my beloved Beyond burgers, I'm still not sure what to do with you) i've realised something a lot more meaningful than policing what i eat (dangerous) or being too critical about the artists i support just because of where they were born (slippery slope into something i don't believe in), is to have a look at the tech I use on a regular basis and where my use of technology is putting power. and i've come to realise a kind of monopoly i never really saw before?

adobe, microsoft and google (as well as meta, i'm still not sure what to do with him) are probably the biggest ones i use for work and study and communication. and i can't actually afford adobe suite and if i quit my job i won't have microsoft office either, so it's a good time for me to find alternatives i'm actually happy with. i also need a new browser. poor firefox, they do so well, and they're not quite Big Tech (so idk, the jury's not fully out on them) but i'd like to see if there is just one that isn't usamerica silica valley yk?

good news! vivaldi browser is norwegian and idk. i'm happy with that. all i'm trying to boycott is Big Tech, that brings power that rattles around eventually into a war system, potentially, i don't know the ins and outs but i can give it my best guess, and we've never even heard of them, never heard of Norway having a big stake in tech, I'd love to be part of changing that!! it's still the global north but. small steps. i also am pretty happy with how the norway govt has responded.

also, the other big one i use is musescore to do music stuff. they also own audacity!! did you know that?? they're based in cyprus. the things that you learn.

libreoffice, which i've heard good things about, as well as ecosia, which i've used as my search engine for almost a decade, and viva designer, the only half decent and affordable alternative to adobe i could find, are all based in germany. and as much as i love their recycling policies it also has me wondering. is this just as bad? i'm not sure what else i can do without completely going off the grid and hand drawing everything or starting a plumbing apprenticeship (which would require me dropping out of uni and buying a car, not impossible, but i like urban design and can't afford an electric car yet let alone one that is Tradie Appropriate and Not Being Boycotted)

anyway, i hope you can make use of my research. and please weigh in!! is supporting tech from germany the exact same thing?? again i'm not trying to be racist and i know it's a line i have to be careful to walk. but i am trying to strategically boycott and hopefully in a sustainable way that others, if they choose, can get on board with too. and it feels like it's silica valley or germany. coles or woolworths. where is my aldi? is there an aldi?

born february 9, 2001 in buffalo, ny, usa to a blue collar father and a stay at home mom; both originally from mexico, but they had emigrated to america a few years prior.

selena is a product of love & it shows—her parents adored her entirely; as a kid, she never had any real reason to fuss because she had everything she ever could’ve wanted (minus a sibling, LOL). her family was far from rich, but she was spoiled rotten regardless, never ever ever had to go without.

in selena’s early childhood, her father temporarily moved to seoul to assist in opening a new branch for the company he was working for. this lasted about 4 months, things were fine, great even, and then a few years down the line, he’s invited to PERMANENTLY relocate to seoul to operate as the branch’s manager. it was a huuuuuge pay raise, so 🤷‍♂️ he took the offer and the lil’ family of three moved to korea. selena was about 7 at the time.

yada yada yada... tl;dr: with her brain still being nothing but a sponge, selena picked korean up quite quickly and adjusted to the move well (her mother, on the other hand, did not; more on this later) / @ the time of their move, s. korea was still pretty homogenous so naturally the three of them had to get used to getting weird ass looks which was tough but if there's one thing selena palacio knows how to do, it's Adapt! / hatches into a social butterfly, type of gal who can make a friend anywhere she goes; also speaks for her parents from a young age as her dad is still learning korean and her mama doesn't give enough of a damn to try / smart girl, does well in school and participates in the student govt and such in high school / graduates, doesn't know what she wants to do with her life rly so she gets on her (prospective) school's website and takes the 'Find Your Major!' quiz which gives her clinical pharmacology for some reason unbeknownst to her and it's as simple as that really... / now approaching the end of her bachelor's program at skku, working full-time at a pharmacy in jongno-gu and attending evening classes while also balancing her 500 blind dates a week like... This Is The Story Of A Girl.

as it stands, she's been in s. korea for about 15/16 years; she and her parents have acquired citizenship through naturalization and will likely carry out the rest of their lives here, despite both mom and dad actually wanting to go back to mexico to be with their families again </3

other info: 100% fluent in korean and views seoul as her home, but is used to being approached as if she's a tourist or "clueless foreigner"—it gets old, but what's she gonna do? not shit. grin and bear it, really / extremely compassionate, will give anything she has (even if it's the last of what she has) to someone in need / currently on "probation" @ her pharmacy job 'cause she keeps covering the copay costs for these old ass people who come in like... they shouldn't be paying in her opinion! / girl's girl, loves women and treasures friendships with other girlies / clingy, likes to be in the company of someone else at (almost) all times / unfortunately her anti-feminism mom instilled it into her head that she has to be "pretty" before going out and beauty is what earns respect so she Will Not Be Caught Slipping, does a full face and puts on nice clothes just to go run errands / not insecure except maybe she is / craves male validation like crazy which is not very girlboss of her but she's working on it!

Ukraine Spending: 100 billion? Why? What does it serve to prolong a war on one of the most corrupt nations in the world? The US and NATO blocked peace talks between Russia and Ukraine. Joe says our debt is too high. He's helping with that. Maybe Joe's helping Ukraine for all that crooked money he and Hunter received.

China Threatening our Sovereignty: Joe says " We will protect our nation." Oh yeah, shooting down that balloon after it flew across the whole country over sensitive military installations? You go Joe, China is shaking in their boots. Tiktok should be banned he says...lol Buy manufactured items in USA? From now on all construction materials in govt infrastructure jobs need to be manufactured in the USA. In order to do that we would have to open 400 new copper and iron ore mines. A 100 new steel mills and aluminum refineries. Make America great again, Joe. Since 1995, our carbon emissions are down. Of course, all those manufacturing jobs went adios to other countries. Joe also says we need oil and gas to be around another 10 years. Gas stove guys.... sigh of relief.

Businesses were shut down, people couldn't work, were stressed out, dying of other diseases because they couldn't go to the doctor. Did Joe care? Joe wants the govt to control everything. The members of the trust have solemnly resolved to work for the upliftment of socially, educationally and financially downtrodden and underprivileged section of the society and are keenly motivated to help students in achieving value based education, not only in words but also in true spirit.

To commemorate the 205th birth anniversary of founder of AMU and great social reformer of India Late Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, SSST celebrated this auspicious day with traditional fervor and gatiety at Royal Park Handwara .

The function was presided over by Senior most Alig Mr Abdul Rashid Lone Presided Bar Association Kupwara, Mr Imtiyaz Ahmad Chief advisor SSET and Joint Director Planning Bandipora, Chairman SSET Dr Parvaiz Maqbool , Mr Bashir Ahmad war (Alig) , Prof Mohd Shafi Lone (principal Govt Degree college Kupwara)

The main objective of this program was to recall the sacrifices & contribution of Sir Syed Ahmad for social political and educational upliftment of Indian masses especially muslim community. A galaxy of AMU passouts from diverse fields including Education, Health, Bio-Science, Banking, Civil Administration, Judiciary , Forestry/Agriculture of District Bandipora, Baramulla Kupwara and Srinagar attended the program. Dr Adil Brig ( Kashmir Alig) presently working in USA addressed the gathering through zoom virtual mode.

A detailed comprehensive power point presentation on aims, objective, activities and achievements of SSET and future course of activities carrier was delivered by Dr Azad Hussain Lone Assistant Professor & Media Secretary Sir Syed Educational Trust.

Chief Guest of the event Mr Abdul Rashid Lone in his address congratulated SSET team and expressed his heartfelt gratitude for conducting this program in this border District of Kupwara.

While delivering his speech, Mr Bashir Ahmad war , Guest of Honour thanked and acknowledged whole team of SSET for doing wonderful job in the field of education at ground level. Mr Imteyaz Ahmad Guest of honour in his address briefly narrated the vision and mission of this trust and intimated all aligs & non Aligs present there to get associated with this education trust in order to expand in both horizontal as well as vertical directions. • these novel methods are promising to assist FBI & other agencies in identifying criminal networks that operate on the internet, such to make logistics of criminal markets as easily monitored as legal markets; I suggest a hard problem: mapping Chinese spy networks in Canada to then look for operation signitures in USA

• author spends a great deal of time on "theory of intelligence," essentially building a model of a human cognition with the differences to that of a calculator

• while software engineering jobs face a scarcity, author asserts these specialists (statistical analysts & website programmers) saturate market thus signifying the relative ease of such methods compared to machine interfaces like autopilot technology, augmented reality, etc; (saturation of market means competition & hawkishness of sales such to sollicit govt for financing);

• author asking for billions of dollars in investment (which is 1] a bridge to nowhere since they have no skematic blueprint & timeline of development, 2] govt investment will assure this firm's market monopoly)
