Emperor Tamarin - The Majestic Moustached Primate Emperor Tamarin - The Majestic Moustached Primate The Emperor Tamarin, often referred to as the "Majestic Moustached Primate," showcases a distinctive appearance reminiscent of a wise old man. Its name is derived from the remarkable resemblance of its mustache to that of the German Emperor Wilhelm II. Despite its small stature, measuring only ten inches, this primate possesses an impressively long tail that can extend up to 16 inches. Emperor Tamarins are social creatures, living in tight-knit groups where they collectively care for their young. They have a diverse diet that includes not only fruits and insects but also unexpected delicacies such as frogs and small birds. The Emperor Tamarin's unique characteristics make it a fascinating and charismatic member of the primate family. 4. Patagonian Mara - Not A Kangaroo, Nor A Hare Patagonian Mara - Not A Kangaroo, Nor A Hare The Patagonian Mara, often misidentified as a hybrid of a kangaroo and a hare, is actually the fourth-largest rodent in the world. Patagonian Maras showcase interesting behaviors, including the ability to emit grunting and squealing sounds similar to guinea pigs. One of their remarkable traits is their remarkable leaping ability, enabling them to jump up to six feet in the air. With their distinct attributes and captivating behaviors, Patagonian Maras are a fascinating species of their own. 5. Fluffy Cow - Nature's Plush Toy Fluffy Cow - Nature's Plush Toy Fluffy cows, often mistaken for a distinct breed, are actually existing breeds of cattle that undergo meticulous grooming. These animals are carefully washed, dried, and styled by specialists to achieve their fluffy appearance, resembling nature's plush toys. The process of grooming can take several months, as every effort is made to ensure their coats are perfectly fluffy and well-maintained.
Fluffy cows are commonly prepared for shows, where they spend hours in grooming sessions to retain their adorable fluffiness. These stunning creatures captivate with their irresistible charm and are a testament to the dedication and artistry involved in creating their unique aesthetic. 6. Markhor Goat - Catching Alien Radio Signals Markhor Goat - Catching Alien Radio Signals The Markhor goat is a captivating species known for its impressive horns, which can grow up to 5.2 feet in length, primarily observed in males during the mating season. Master of the skies. Just can't help myself. While I always enjoyed photography as a child and young adult, painting and the graphic arts was my thing. I morphed into photography because I needed reference photos for paintings and I wanted to use my own, because only I truly knew what I wanted in a reference. Eventually, this took me back to photography...and that took me back to mixing art into it and blurring the lines as often as I can. There is almost nothing traditional about me, or any aspect of my life, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Borneo and indeed Indonesia, is home to many species of large insects. I once visited the top of a hill where there was a communications tower with flashing lights. It attracted many HUGE bugs! They gave me the willies but I think I hid it ok. There is something awe inspiring about these insects. They’re big enough so you can imagine them growing to human size, (I watched too many Japanese monster tv shows in the late 60s 🙀). Anyway, they are part of the wonderful biodiversity on this planet 🌏 🌍 🌎 we call home. ・・・ This is a #Repost from @hewan_lucu1 ・・・ #SeranggaUnik/#UniqueInsects #serangga #hitam #unik #menggigit #Bite #tanduk #Horned #hewanlucu #FunnyAnimals #hewanunik #UniqueAnimals #cintahewan #LoveAnimals #hewanindonesia #indonesia #IndonesianWildlife #SatwaLiarIndonesia https://www.instagram.com/p/B-VWM3SA1xS/?igshid=19aiph27c5dti

Happy #WorldTamanduaDay! What? You don't know what a #Tamandua is? Well, let me bring you up to speed... They are also known as a lesser #anteater. (But we don't think anything less of them. That just means they're smaller than the giant anteaters.) There are countless #AnimalFacts about tamanduas, but lets focus on those feet. The front feet have a very big claw in the middle and they have very powerful muscles attached to those claws. They use these awesome adaptations to tear open rotting trees and termite mounds to get to the yummy eggs and larva of the termite and/or ant colony they are digging up. And how about that row of short hooked claws on the back feet? They are perfect for hooking into a tree as they climb. And get this! They can rotate their back feet 180 degrees. So when they climb out of a tree, head down, they can still use those short hooked claws to help them climb down. #wildlifeeducation #animalfact #toes #claws #littlestinker #cute #cuteoverload #cuteface #awesomeanimal #wildlifeaddicts #wildlifeseekers #sandiegozoo #safaripark #sdzoo #natgeo #tamanduas #uniqueanimals #nowyouknow #learnsomethingnew

Okapi Until 1901 many people thought the Okapi was a myth, therefore it was known as Africa's Unicorn😊🌍🦄 They are one of the oldest mammals still left on earth. These unique animals are very shy, making them nearly impossible to observe in the wild of Congo. Does the Okapi look like any other animal that you have ever seen?😊 #mammalsofinstagram #uniqueanimals #longtongues ##africasunicorns #unicornsoftheworld #unicorns #okapi #congo #safari #wildlifephotography #savetourism #afrikalovers😍 #animalmyths #oldestanimal https://www.instagram.com/p/B_jtea9Ca6l/?igshid=15y7xuv8oydac

Although not #wildlife per say, this is certainly a #livestock #animal that you don’t see everyday. This is a member of the Ankole-Watusi cattle- a breed of African cattle that were taken to @Germany as a @zoo specimen which expanded from zoo to zoo until making its way to the #unitedstates (New York) where it became a domesticated breed of cattle. Now there are close to 2000 individuals with over 80 percent of them found in the U.S. #cattle #domesticated #domesticatedcattle #farm #livestock #bull #cow #cows #africa #africanlivestock #farmliving #uniqueanimals (at Kansas) https://www.instagram.com/p/B0Lj_P6AwXN/?igshid=1wjieewb0mm8e
