This is a kinda random question but I was wondering if you had any idea how tall Yulia Makhalina is? I've been watching videos of her a lot lately and can tell she's quite tall but I couldn't tell if she's taller than Lopatkina.
I'm not sure about Makhalina's height exactly, she's not someone I've met in person. Most Russian articles list her as 170-172cm. But I think Lopatkina is a bit taller, she's consistently listed as 175cm. Enjoy your Makhalina spree!

BRITISH ROYALS X BALLET ASSOCIATIONS🎭
(Spoiler: very predictable. Possible repetitions)
Part 1/X
Princess Diana: Odette (Swan Lake. Performed by Uliana Lopatkina, Mariinsky theatre)
Odette in my opinion is one of the most majestic and tender of existing ballet roles. It requires technique and enormous control to perform this particular scene.
“Dying Swan” captures Diana’s personality perfectly:
She was tender and kind
She was shy
She faced hardships and struggled a lot
Her death was premature and unjust. And it brings me to tears every time I remember it.

Lopatkina’s performance is superb, as her gestures and posture create a sad picture of a dying girl refusing to believe it’s the end. It’s the best coordination of hand gestures I’ve ever seen in this part.
Pas de bourres suivi imitates swan’s movements. Like Diana, Odette is trembling. She is frightened.
At the end the swan accepts her fate and closes her eyes forever. And just like Princess Diana’s death, the death of the swan is heartbreaking.

Tall, majestic, and inscrutable, with an impossibly slender, elongated frame and arms that move with the billowing lightness of smoke, Lopatkina is a superb specimen of that already exquisite species known as the ballerina. She appeared in no less than five excerpts, always with the same remote half-smile and veiled eyes, like a queen on a quick visit from a far-off, and no doubt splendid, kingdom.

“Some people do like having legends. It’s all out of my control, this legend image - and it does put a lot more pressure on me, because I really can’t make any mistakes now! The positive side is that because of people’s expectations of this spiritual fulfillment and elegance in my dancing, I really do my best, it drives me even if I can’t always live up to their expectations.”

Uliana Lopatkina announced her retirement after season off due to injury.
There would be no farewell performance.
And I’m kind of heartbroken...
