So I know I did this one like...not too long ago, but I have some new wips since then and @storieswelove just tagged me to do this, so I figured I'd update it.

So I made a thing. I am writing a little fanfiction about chocolate frog cards and I decided that I wanted to make fan cards for my favorite people in the fandom! I’ve been planning on doing this for a hot minute but I’m just now getting around to it.

I’ll kick off my little series with @blvnk-art/@artdes-b, someone that I want to thank for getting me back to actively participating and interacting with the community again. I came across her art on twitter somehow, and I just binged everything she had. It ended up with me coming back to Tumblr and finding all sorts of wonderful people. So thank you, Bianca! 

I don’t know how many of these I will do, but each one is a little thank-you note to people that make me smile.

Blog Post #1

Here is the work that I did for last weeks assignment for ARTDES 300 "Visual Comm for Voting"

The assignment was to summarize an informative flyer into a Instagram post. I chose to implement bold bright contrasted colors that were also bipartisan. Besides the first two images I am not entirely happy with the way my work turned out. I think that the block colors work well, with simple texts but us very hard to read when giving lots of information and having lots of words on the page. Going forward I think I would completely scratch this idea and try to incorporate more imagery and a more simple color scheme. I need to work on my sketching and thought process. I think I jumped headfirst into this project without properly thinking it through. I am working on documenting my process more. I am also now navigating how to use Tumblr to efficiently for my blog posts. I am concerned about using this platform because I cannot write and put images in the same post. I am going to be individually uploading the photos in my next posts.
