So, you want to completely overhaul the lighting of your sims game? I can help with that!

IMPORTANT: Multiple of the same lighting mods can conflict and may not work in game. Please follow each creator’s installation instructions in order to not break your game!

Please use mods at your own risk. Some mods may impact gameplay fps. Make sure your computer can handle it. Always follow the creator's installation and removal instructions. Always Always ALWAYS keep a backup of your original files!

The mods listed below are available for PC and MAC.

"★" Patreon Locked Content.

Interior + Sim Lighting Mods | The Sims 4 tends to be overwhelming blue. These mods can help combat that.

LUUMIA’S NO BLU | Goes into mods folder. 3 versions available. Conflicts with OOTD. Focuses on interior lighting. Darkens the game and removes the bluish tint.

LOTHARIHOE'S OOTD | Goes into mods folder. Conflicts with NO BLU. Focuses on interior lighting. Darkens game and removes bluish tint. Not as dark as NO BLU.

LUUMIA'S NO GLO | Goes into mods folder. Can be paired with NO BLU or OOTD. Conflicts with ITTL. Focuses on sim lighting. Helps sims blend better with environment lighting.

LOTHARIHOE'S ITTL | Goes into mods folder. Can be paired with NO BLU or OOTD. Conflicts with NO GLO. Focuses on sim lighting. Removes bluish aura around sims. Helps sims blend better with environment lighting.

★ NORTHERN SIBERIA WINDS BETTER IN-GAME LIGHTING | Free on 3/27. Goes into mods folder. Can be paired with NO BLU or OOTD. Conflicts with NO GLO + ITTL. Brightens sims. Multiple variations available.

World Lighting Mods | Changes the lighting of the entire world. Overhauls outdoor lighting. Can be used with interior + sim lighting mods. These mods cannot be used together.

LOTHARIHOE'S PURPLE SKIES | Delta + Data folders. Does not go into mods folder. Brighter skies at noon. Reduced bloom. Improved sunrise/sunset hours.

CAS Lighting Mods | Changes Lighting in CAS only. Can be paired with any of the world, sim, and interior lighting mods.

NORTHERN SIBERIAN WIND'S GENTLE CAS LIGHTING | Brighter sims. Similar to better in-game lighting mod. Softer glow and shadows. Pet version available. Goes into mods folder.

SQWEE'S REALISTIC CAS LIGHTING | Balanced, warm, and moody lighting. Goes into mods folder.

BREEZYTRAITS CAS LIGHTING | Multiple different variations. Pick one only. Goes into mods folder.

INFO:

This is my personal list of cc I enjoy to have in my game. I am a simmer who was ADDICTED to CC to the point that everyday before i’d play i’d download more, but as i've started playing less and i’m now on a system that's not necessarily made for gaming (i play on a macbook air) i've made the decision to try keep my mods folder a bit smaller and make my game a bit more “minimalistic” (trust my mods folder is still a bit PACKED but it use to be worse). I also prefer playing in a more realistic game style (i don't own any supernatural packs) and that does reflect in my mod and cc choices. I hope in sharing this list I can help some people organize their cc folder, try some new mods or just discover new cc the like!

TLDL:

This list mostly consists of Mods and CC that may fit a minimalistic, Realistic game style best, and function on systems not specifically made for gaming, but it is very much open for EVERYONE <3
