The Goddess Guanyin (also known as Avalokitesvara) is commonly associated with the spirit of compassion. No matter it is of Buddhism, Taoism, or even Chinese folklore, Guanyin is often known as the Goddess of Mercy. Its name in short Guanshiyin may define into "[The One Who] Perceives the Sounds of the World". The Goddess was stated in thr Precious Scroll of Fragrant Mountain describing an incarnation of Guanyin named Miaoshan as the daughter of a cruel king who wanted her to marry a wealthy but uncaring man. According to the story, as her father get her to marry the wealthy man, she told him that she would obey his command, so long as the marriage eased three misfortunes: 1️⃣ Ease one's suffering as aged; 2️⃣ Ease one's suffering when got ill; 3️⃣ Ease one's suffering indue of death. When her father asked who could ease all the above, Miaoshan unexpectedly pointed out a doctor, instead. This has pissed her father, therefore, forced her into hard labour and reduced her food and drink. She often begged to enter the temple and become a nun almost everyday. Her father eventually allowed her to work in the temple, but asked the monks to give her the toughest chores in order to discourage her. Get the blessing from Goddess of Mercy and Buddha at Hatyai - Hatyai Park. This attraction is a must-visit place in Hatyai, somewhere not far from the town but with very steep road ahead. It is a place that you could have a peace of mind. But remember to keep calm when you take tuk-tuk up there. Birdie had a very bad experience, but it is Birdie's fault. Birdie was happy to know that return trip from the town to Hatyai trip was 200 baht for 4. But as Birdie is leaving the park, it is a miscommunication. It was supposed to be 200 baht per way, at the end, Birdie and travel mates almost go bankrupt. With the great planner that we had, Birdie managed to identify the nearest destination to stopby. Tuk-tuk (commonly known as Sam Lor) is the most recognisable transport feature in Thailand, getting its onomatopoeic name upon mimicking the sound of a small (often two-cycle) engine name. The Tuk-tuk was originated and innovated from the old-fashioned rickshaw during the second World War. It is a 3-wheeled trishaw with a small engine fitted in. Upon innovation, some tuk-tuks are now 4-wheeled (known as remorque) instead. It is more an experience to have travelled along with tuk-tuk. Travel Tips: 1. Birdie booked for a 8.30am bus from Hat Yai to Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (@terminalbersepaduselatan ) with an expected travel time of 8 hours 33 minutes. Estimated arrival as of GMT+7 is 5.03pm. After converting to Malaysia time GMT+8, Birdie is supposed to arrive at 6.03pm. But then the driver made multiple stops without prior informing, and each stop is about 20-30 minutes. Guess what?
