OK! youre gucci then. most sub groups are good its just that the one that subs almost all the seasons (tvnihon) tend to be the more uh...old school subbers where they dont translate a lot of honorific things/do a lot of tl notes in a very clunky way

I might even check the series you mentioned it sounds interesting,,,

and I myself don't have the 'source' for moch/i/ju/n saying that she's wlw but apparently in a guide book (18.5) for her previous work, someone mentioned that she said that she "Loves Girls" (in a way that implies romantic attraction because it was written similarly to a line in which the mc was teased about possibly having romantic attraction for a girl in that story) as part of her intro according to the (french) translation

and she occasionally recs and reads wlw manga and tweets abt 'em

its a good series! feel free to message me if you need any content warnings! i will say that certain things are not done very well or are not depicted well (a character who is mentally ill/traumatized is made the butt of the jokes specifically because of coping mechanisms, a pseudo-almost-white-savior narrative) so it's not perfect but it's genuinely very good and i would not be able to shut up about it if you get me started. all the characters are so well-built and it's a great intro into kamen rider as a whole.

(as a note, there's only two subbing groups who did it iirc. there's over-time and tv-nihon. usually tv-nihon is what you'll find on streaming sites since they hardsub, so streamers don't have to bake the subs in themselves. tv-nihon is questionable with the translation quality, and while over-time tends to over-localize, they're generally the better option. however for whatever reason, o-t decided to make ankh use the r slur multiple times even though that's definitely uncalled for and not even what he's saying. i think ozc-anime, who compiled the blu-rays, retains this translation since they use o-t's subs.)

I have no reference to her previous works to confirm or deny the connection there. this sounds like she's just a fan of older women but with no specific connotation in and of itself! i wouldn't take it as a confirmation or denial either way, though, as in, i wouldn't say "she's definitely wlw" OR "she's definitely not wlw" judging by this alone. regardless, i think if she's recommending wlw manga on her twitter than i think this is a case of her trying to hint at it... lol

i don't think ozc usually makes batches until they're finished releasing a show but that is odd that tvn doesn't have any yet... i guess since it's still so recent

So, okay, here’s the actual last time I mention W on here. Unless the manga decides to do a crossover with Build. Anyway.

You may remember when I covered news about a Kamen Rider W sequel, back when it seemed to line up with the reveal of the next show. It turned out to be a manga unrelated to what we now know as Kamen Rider Build, so that was the end of my coverage on this blog. But if you were interested in checking out that manga, I’ll at least be linking to chapter 1 - OZC Live is going to be posting translated chapters, so keep an eye on them.

Bit of a warning: There’s some nudity near the end of this first chapter, because I guess that’s what happens when you aren’t limited to a kids show anymore. Beware, or enjoy, as is your liking!

OZC Live has now finished updating fansubs for Gaim.

For those who missed it before, OZC Live is a fansub group who takes existing fansubs and applies them to better footage. When these current shows are subbed, they use footage recorded from the TV broadcast, and OZC Live prefers working with DVD release footage which is better and lacks any timestamps or channel watermarks. In Gaim’s case, they also changed various loose translation choices by Aesir.

To sum up what their wrap up post says, they will be tackling the post-finale Gaim movies in due time, so let's leave them to their work. They also plan on having a new translation for Gaim Gaiden Vol.2 since there were not many fansub options back when it was released.

In response to Nyaa going down, they've moved onto AniDex as their torrent host and have posted a batch of every Gaim episode that was uploaded to Nyaa.
