Day 12: Karma
Rated Teen, Leshwi/transfem!Kaladin, post-RoW. Kaladin’s egg breaks. This’ll be part 1 of 3, part 2 will be coming up on the 18th!
“Kill me,” Leshwi said to the Rhythm of Hope, as Kaladin’s speartip hovered just below her chin.
“No,” he smiled.
They had taken time away from their new responsibilities to spar. This time, he had come to her at the Listener enclave. Their duel had taken them deep into a chasm of the Shattered Plains, chasing each other around impossible turns. It had been exhilarating.
She hadn't known she could still feel alive until she'd fought him. And now she didn’t know if she would get another life after this one. It made her feel frail, vulnerable–mortal.
And yet in moments like this, especially with Kaladin, Leshwi's memories of the endless cycles of war and imprisonment on Braize seemed distant. She felt like the whole world was new, and that she hadn’t just been reborn, she’d been renewed. She felt totally free.
One of the things she chose to do with that freedom was spar with Kaladin. For so long, no one had come close to her level of skill, and in this life she had actually learned from Kaladin. Like today, he had used some kind of grappling move on her, flipping her through the air until she’d landed flat on her back, and he’d straddled her waist, his weight pressing her into the stone. Though he sat heavy on top of her, she didn’t feel the sting of defeat, just the thrill of the contest. They made an incredible match.
“Kill me,” she insisted, riding the Rhythm of Confidence. “Give me a reason to find a body you would like more.”
He blinked in confusion, and his grip on the spear tightened. “What do you mean?” he asked.
“A woman’s body, so I can entice you. Normally I am not picky about the body I receive, but…my passion has changed.” So, so much had changed.
“I…That would be too great a risk, Leshwi. Odium would torture you.”
“I would find a way to escape Braize. I would find my way back to you,” she said, forcing Confidence.
Slowly, his whole body relaxed, and he dismissed his spear. He looked down, then rested his hands on her broad, flat chest, splaying out his fingers across her carapace. “Leshwi, it’s an honour that you would do that for me, but it wouldn’t be necessary. You…you’re…ah…I’m enticed anyway.” He stared at his hands for a moment, then glanced at her. “Sorry,” he said quickly, and scrambled off her. He looked away awkwardly, then turned back to offer his hand to help her stand.
Leshwi attuned Reconciliation and kept holding his hand, even after she’d stood. This was something new and delicate, too. She felt so free much of the time, sometimes she forgot how stuck she really was. “Perhaps I’ve spoken to Confidence when I should have spoken to Consideration. But I am femalen, Kaladin, in a malen’s body. I wish to respect you and your human culture, and so I should approach you in a femalen body.”
“That doesn’t matter to me. You’re femalen no matter what body you’re in,” he said to Confidence. Slowly, his brow furrowed in an expression Leshwi couldn’t name, and he looked away, taking a deep breath. He seemed pained, perhaps.
She hummed to Reconciliation, then bared her teeth in the human version of the rhythm. “Thank you, Kaladin. In that case, I wish to court you.”
He looked up at her with wide eyes, and he stammered, his face changing colour.
Leshwi thought perhaps she’d made another error. “Oh, yes, men are the ones who usually request to court. I hope I have not dishonoured you?” she said. I will be making much use of Reconciliation today, she thought.
“I…thank you Leshwi, but…I need some time to think,” he said, and turned to fly back to the enclave.
She followed, humming Resignation. She had made too grand a gesture, close to swearing an oath she probably couldn’t keep, and then she had pained him in some way. But, keeping in mind he hadn’t said no yet, she forced herself to attune Resolve instead.
He remained silent and distant, even until he left to return to Urithiru. She hummed Resolve as she watched him leave through the Oathgate, determined to wait until he approached her again.

What Your Preferred Femslash Cosmere Ships Say About You
Happy Femslash February! I've done these "what your preferred ships" say lists before, if you'd like to check out the old ones: [Kaladin ships, Navani ships, Jasnah ships; also Moash ships by @cosmereplay]
But for now, let's judge you (yes, you!) based on your favorite femslash ships.
Vin x Shallan You are bold, inventive, daring. You don't play by the rules--not of canon, not of time, not of space. You don't let anything stop you, and you are all the happier for it. Good for you, tbh!
Navani x Ialai You may have complained in the tags that I left this ship out of my previous Navani ships post and you know what, you were right. Let these two old ladies fuck!
Marasi x Moonlight You may write fanfic where Marasi joins the Ghostbloods after all, or maybe you have Moonlight leave them to be with Marasi. Either way, you saw the sparks between them and you're running with it.
Ranette x Jaxy It's not like you can let the only (?) canon lesbian ship not get love! Not when it's gun lesbians!
Sarene x Eshen You look at an early, barely-any-women work of Sanderson and you think, "You know what would fix this? Gay sex."
Shallan x Veil It's about the longing. It's about the inability to physically exist in the same space together. It's about the self-acceptance.
Cord x Rysn You've either read Dawnshard or you've seen literally any art of these two.
Raboniel x Navani You don't need your femslash ships to be "sweet" or "loving" or "healthy." You see some twisted devotion and erotic violence and say "Sign me the HELL up."
Transfem Kaladin x Leshwi You have a brilliant and beautiful mind.
Yumi x Shallan I don't know that the shippers for this exist...but now that I've said it, you're thinking about it, right? They're gonna sit on a bench and talk about the beautiful women they see. They're gonna talk art. They're gonna be bi4bi. You see it now. You're welcome.

Day 18: Once upon a time
Rated Teen, transfem!Kaladin/Leshwi, Rhythm of War spoilers Part 3/4. Start at part 1 on ao3
Leshwi hummed to Peace as she watched the sky for Kaladin. It was good to hear the ancient Rhythms again, and she thought briefly of Riah, who loved Peace for its even, stately beat. It soothed Leshwi’s heart to be able to attune it again.
She took a breath of post-sunset air. The sky was almost completely black, dotted with limitless stars, and the breeze was soft and cool, easing the humidity of the Shattered Plains. Usually it would be her turn to visit Kaladin at Urithiru, but he’d insisted on coming to her.
She hoped that was a good sign.
Soon, she spotted a glowing speck in the distance, which began to resolve into a figure in blue and white, tails of cloth streaming behind him. Leshwi hummed to Amusement, thinking his fashion looked a bit familiar.
…Or was it her fashion? Leshwi caught the subtle curve of breasts as Kaladin got closer; like a nimbleform femalen. Leshwi attuned Consideration–were humans capable of changing forms now?
She…he?...landed in a flourish, Stormlight glowing through the fabric of his dress. Up close, it was more obvious. It was a dress, cut in a similar style to fashion Leshwi was accustomed to, though the wide swaths of fabric were interwoven at the front rather than wrapped, and his left hand was covered by a long, elegant white glove up to his elbow. He drew the ends of the tails to one hand with a Windrunner's lashing, then tucked them into his wide waistband, leaving the loops overlapping and hanging like a skirt. He stepped towards Leshwi, still glowing faintly, with a confused look on his face.
“Why aren’t you flying?” he asked.
“Don’t worry about that right now,” Leshwi said, humming to Reconciliation. “Tell me, what is the occasion for this work of beauty? You look…exquisite.” She gestured to the dress, then upwards. Kaladin was wearing makeup, and his hair was braided.
Kaladin smiled broadly. “I wanted to tell you in person,” he said, and she noticed his voice had grown softer, though it was still deep and rich. “I’ve been thinking a lot about what you said, what you asked me. And I want to say yes. I want to court you, if you’ll have me. But I need to tell you something first…”
***
They joined a late night fire and sat together. Though they stood out sorely, the other listeners offered them drinks then politely ignored them, continuing their own conversations. As Kaladi explained her recent changes, Leshwi came to understand that humans could change forms, in a way.
“Once upon a time,” Kaladi began, “I wanted to be a little girl. I was a little girl, I suppose. I wanted to learn to read, but I also wanted to climb and explore and fight.” She held her gloved hand in front of her. “I was torn between wanting to follow my parents’ footsteps and becoming a surgeon. I thought that maybe if I learned medicine, I could learn how to become a woman.”
Kaladi held out her ungloved hand. “But I was also good with the spear. Really good. It just felt right. I thought I would never be able to fight if I was a woman. I thought, if I wanted to fight, maybe I wasn’t really a woman.” Her hand closed into a fist.
Leshwi hummed to Resolve.
The fire crackled; the conversations around them hummed in interweaving harmonies. Kaladi’s eyes reflected the dancing lights.
“When Tien was taken, I buried those thoughts. I was needed as a soldier, and to be a soldier I had to learn to be a man.” She looked into the fire and sighed.
Leshwi reached out her hand, caressing Kaladi’s shoulder. “You knew no other way,” she said to Resolve.
“I didn’t think of it again until I met you. Leshwi...I don’t even know how to say how much I admire you. What it means to me that you exist, just as you are.”
Kaladi raised her eyes. She reached out her ungloved hand, taking Leshwi’s hand in her own, and Leshwi attuned Anticipation.
“Now that you know everything, do you still want to court me?” Kaladi asked.
Leshwi hummed Praise. “I do still wish to court you,” she said. “The path ahead of us will not be easy. We will exist among those who hate us for joining together. This would be true whether you were Kaladin or Kaladi.”
She took a moment to hold Kaladi’s hand, then leaned down and kissed it. “Kaladi,” she said to Praise, “meeting you has changed my life. You gave me hope when I thought I was lost. Knowing your deepest heart is a true honour. I am overjoyed to know you.”
She snuck closer beside Kaladi until their hips touched, and Leshwi wrapped an arm around Kaladi’s waist. Kaladi rested her gloved hand on Leshwi's shoulder. In the firelight, Kaladi’s eyes shimmered. Her smile glowed more beautifully than any light Leshwi had ever known.
For a moment, she attuned the Lost, and Kaladi’s brow furrowed.
“Tell me, Leshwi. Why weren’t you floating when you met me today?” Kaladi asked suddenly.
Leshwi met her eyes sadly. “I finally ran out of voidlight. I will not be flying again.”
“But you need to fly.”
“It’s worth it.”
“But Leshwi–”
“It’s worth it,” Leshwi said to Pain. “Being free, being myself, knowing you–it’s worth it, even if I never fly again.”
Kaladi pulled her close, then, their foreheads touching. Together, they found Peace again, and sang.

Day 16: Hourglass
Rated Teen, Kaladin/Leshwi, Rhythm of War Part 2 of 4 (Find part 1 on tumblr or ao3)
Kaladin stared at himself in the mirror. Himself? Herself? Either way, he needed a full-length mirror to do this, and the only one he knew about was Adolin’s. Unfortunately, that meant Adolin was examining him critically from over his shoulder. Kaladin was wearing a Thaylen-style skirt and blouse, his (her?) safehand gloved, hair pulled back in his usual utilitarian tail. He looked like an hourglass, and he didn’t like it.
“I look terrible,” she said to the mirror, unable to keep a bitter cynicism out of her voice. She liked the glove, but the rest didn’t look right. He’d thought looking more feminine would make him feel better, but it just felt wrong in a way she hadn’t been expecting.
Adolin tapped his chin in thought. “I know you wanted to try something that was more familiar to you, but just because your mother wears it doesn’t mean it’s what you need. Who else do you admire?”
Kaladin immediately thought of Leshwi. It was her fault he…she…was in this mess. Why not borrow from her? He…she…smiled, taking a moment to picture the femalen he wished to court. Leshwi was beautiful. Alluring, even. Maybe the reason this outfit felt so wrong was that it seemed to exaggerate Kaladin’s proportions in a way that didn’t feel true to her.
“Leshwi has wide shoulders and narrow hips like me,” Kaladin said, “and yet her clothing is still so graceful. What about something like that?”
Adolin raised an eyebrow. “You want to dress like the Fused?”
“Not necessarily, but…” Kaladin waved his hands around fruitlessly, unable to find the words. “Leshwi looks like herself. She likes her body, she respects it, and that comes across in the way she dresses and carries herself. I want to be like that, too. I don’t want to hide my body.” Looking in the mirror, she held out the sides of the long skirt, exaggerating the shape. “This feels like hiding.”
She didn’t feel like she understood herself, let alone getting a point across, but Adolin’s reflection was nodding anyway. “Something graceful. Something true to your proportions. Okay…Yeah, I can work with that. I know a woman…” He wandered off, still muttering to himself.
Kaladin removed the offending clothing down to her underwear, and she looked at her body in the mirror. Her breasts had only grown slightly, and her genitals had only shrunk a little. She’d asked Syl why her body hadn’t changed much, if her identity was female, and Syl hadn’t known the answer. But looking at herself in the mirror, she realized. Just like Leshwi, she was perfect just the way she was. A warmth filled her, realizing she was already home. Without Leshwi, she didn’t think she would have known it was possible.
Adolin returned with what looked like an entire family’s laundry in his arms. “I happen to have a shiqua, so I thought that might be a good place to start. It's all one long piece of fabric, so we can even cut it up if you want. Do you remember when we were in Celebrant? The spren there would mix and match styles from everywhere. It’s giving me some ideas. I bet we can do something just perfect for you, Kaladin.”
In return, she smiled, feeling almost like she was floating. In retrospect, asking Adolin for help had been a great idea. “Okay, let’s try it,” she nodded. “And I’ve decided something else–I’d like you to call me Kaladi.”
“Pronounced like Kalami!”
“Yeah.”
“I would’ve thought you’d choose a completely new name,” Adolin said thoughtfully, “but I really like it. Okay, Kaladi, let’s get you graceful. Just don’t steal Shallan from me after, okay?” he winked.
Kaladi grinned. “Don’t worry, Adolin, I’ve got my eyes on someone else.”

Day 22: Anything for you
Rated Explicit, Leshwi/transfem!Kaladin For notes on use of language for genitals, see ao3 notes Consider this the last chapter of Karma (rated Teen)
Kaladi flopped back onto the new, large bed that she and Leshwi now officially shared. “That was…intense,” she said, and let out a long sigh. “I don’t ever want to do that again.”
“The point of a wedding is that you won’t have to,” Leshwi said to Amusement, and flashed him the smile she’d been parading around all day for the humans’ sake.
She climbed onto the bed, up Kaladi’s body, and then straddled her. “How easy it is to capture you now,” she mused. “Now I believe the ardents would want us to consummate.”
The words hardly penetrated her tired mind, as Kaladi was still dazzled by the woman above her. She marvelled at how Leshwi managed to maintain a calm, stately energy even as she started to undo the many, many buttons that held Kaladi’s wedding havah together. Leshwi herself had eschewed Alethi fashion, choosing instead to wear listener wedding clothing, in colours that matched her new wife. Those would be much easier to remove.
Wait. Consummate? Did Leshwi even want that? Despite having thought about it many times, Kaladi hadn’t actually managed to ask about it yet.
Suddenly Kaladi felt very awake. “Do you? Want us to consummate?” she asked.
With the front of Kaladi’s havah spread open, Leshwi spread her hands across Kaladi’s broad, mostly flat chest, squeezing her small breasts. Kaladi gasped. She wasn’t used to being the one who was touched; with her previous girlfriends she’d been expected to do the touching.
Not to mention she wasn’t used to being so sensitive there. That was one of the things that had changed.
“Yes,” Leshwi said, “although…” Her Rhythm suggested Curiosity.
Kaladi tried to sit up, but Leshwi pushed back, forcing her to lay down again. “Although what?” Kaladi asked, making an effort at using Curiosity back to her.
“Although I am not in a reproductive form. I can evert my penis, but it won’t stiffen. It would feel good if you were to touch it, but there would not be any…juice?”
“Orgasm?” Kaladi suggested.
“That’s the Alethi word? It has changed since Alethela fell,” Leshwi said, then hummed to Curiosity. “I like to be touched, but it will not be the way of a human coupling.”
“Can you demonstrate how you want to be touched?” Kaladi wanted very much to do it right.
Leshwi hummed to Peace as she slowly took apart the rest of Kaladi’s clothing. She had Kaladi lay on her front, then traced her fingers over her body, pressing softly to ease her tense muscles, and making her feel even more sensitive. Kaladi could feel herself getting hard as she slowly rocked her ass back against Leshwi’s body, then ground herself into the sheets, feeling a heated throb between her legs.
She moaned into the pillow, and Leshwi’s weight shifted as she moved to kneel beside her. “Roll over,” she said, and it felt like an order.
Feeling a thrill of nervousness, Kaladi rolled over as ordered, exposing the front of her naked body to her wife for the first time. Leshwi hummed as she traced over Kaladi’s shoulders, her breasts, her belly, then lower still. Though Kaladi’s clitoris had shrunk to about half its former size after her realization, it was still large enough to emerge from her public hair, and it was fully hard. Kaladi swallowed and closed her eyes, listening for Leshwi’s Rhythm.
Peace, she was pretty sure. Kaladi took a deep breath. Why was she nervous? Leshwi was just demonstrating how she’d like to be touched.
“Your fists are closed, Kaladi,” Leshwi said to Peace. “Are you all right?”
This time, she let Kaladi sit up on her elbows. “There’s, well… there’s a certain way I treat my…self,” she said, and a small white petal fluttered beside her. "It's different than how you described it."
Leshwi removed her hand and hummed. "How would you like to be touched?"
A silence stretched out that Kaladi struggled to fill. She felt like a mess-a mix of trepidation, shame, and horniness, and to her embarrassment, horniness was winning.
“Tell me,” Leshwi said to Peace. “Don’t make me say it to Command.”
One of Odium’s Rhythms. That was a joke.
Kaladi smiled. “Would you…Can I…” She shook her head. “Storms, why is this so hard to say?”
Leshwi leaned in and held Kaladi’s cheek. “My wife, I would do anything for you. I would give up the skies. I would face my past. I would…” she gestured downwards, “treat you how you want to be treated. I love you.”
Kaladi didn’t know whether to smile or cry, so she lunged forward to kiss her on the cheek. “Thank you,” she whispered. "I love you too."
A large, carapaced hand pushed Kaladi back down to the bed. “Tell me, Kaladi,” she said to a more insistent Rhythm.
She took a breath, then slid her hand down, showing Leshwi something she’d only ever done in private. “I like my, uh, clitoris, to be held down like this, against my body. And then I think it would feel really good if you, uh, licked it? Just the tip of it. I usually wet my hand and rub it like this.” She demonstrated, and storms, she felt incredibly hot with Leshwi's unreadable gaze on her.
Leshwi nodded, then reached for her. “I can touch you like that,” she said, and brushed a thick thumbpad across her tip. “Your hands are no longer needed here,” she said, and used her other hand to take Kaladi’s wrists and hold them criss-crossed above her head.
“Storms, I forget how much taller you are than me sometimes,” Kaladi said in a shaky voice, then gasped again as Leshwi held down her clitoris with a firm palm. In seconds, her hot tongue found her bud.
Kaladi moaned and arched her back, but Leshwi held her still. The heat of her was intense, and the way she flicked her tongue across her clitoris…it crested mountains of pleasure that Kaladi had never climbed before. All she could do was squirm and try her best to moan to the beats of Praise.
Just as she thought she couldn’t take any more, Leshwi pressed her lips to Kaladi’s clitoris and hummed a strong Rhythm that blew through Kaladi’s body like a Highstorm. She came with a panting cry, squirting clear fluid over herself. She looked up, thinking she was done, but Leshwi held her firm. Her humming softened, but she continued that Rhythm until all the waves of pleasure had finished washing through Kaladi’s body, and she stilled.
“How was that?” Leshwi asked to Curiosity. She moved forward, licking her clitoris clean, then licking and kissing the wetness from her belly.
“It was…amazing,” Kaladi said, trying her best to attune Praise.
“We can do that every day if you like,” Leshwi smiled.
Kaladi grinned, then sat up again, and Leshwi let her go. “Now it’s your turn,” Kaladi said, and fully intended to give Leshwi everything she wanted. “You lay down.”
Humming to a Rhythm she didn’t recognize yet, Leshwi removed her clothes, then lay on her belly on the bed. Kaladi straddled her ass and did her best to repeat the motions Leshwi had asked for, lightly tracing over the swirls of marbling over her carapace, then massaging her skin. Leshwi hummed to Praise, and Kaladi joined her softly.
For a while, Kaladi lost herself in the subtle waves of pleasure still echoing through her body as her eyes and hands roved over the back of her beautiful wife. Leshwi, she thought. I’m married to Leshwi. She almost couldn’t believe it. Despite the difficulty of the day, she believed she was perhaps the luckiest woman on Roshar. I could live my life all over again if I knew that Leshwi was going to be part of it. A fierce protective feeling washed over her, and Kaladi thought she might do anything to keep her safe.
Leshwi didn’t ask to flip over, so Kaladi worked on memorizing the lines of marbling across her back, counting the ridges of her carapace. She wanted to know everything about her, too.
After a while, she noticed that Leshwi wasn’t humming anymore. Kaladi slid off her and she didn’t move, except for the long, slow movement of her breaths.
She’d fallen asleep.
Kaladi’s heart swelled with an indescribable joy, seeing Leshwi asleep. Trying not to disturb her, Kaladi shuffled their blankets out from underneath her wife, then covered them both. There would be time to give her everything she wanted. For now, they could share this.
Laying alongside her large Fused wife, Kaladi simply watched her, face to face, and continued rubbing her back until she, too, fell asleep to the optimistic beats of Praise.
