huh. actually. good point. if we ignore the point that this discussion we're having is incredibly funny and absurd, i actually never thought about that before, there does seem to be something there. trying to think of depictions of clock towers ive seen in fiction...escaping me right now. definitely something to be said about like, a guy that lives in the clock tower to maintain it. thats a thing right? kinda lighthouse-esque. GOD I SOUND SO RIDICULOUS RIGHT NOW LMAO.

i feel like there’s a joke to be made about like.  you know in old discourse threads when people kept towerposting at each other and sometimes one of them would say “i stopped reading when you said” such and such thing that you can torturedly read as self-evidently evil if you argue in bad enough faith.  i always thought there should be a way to make fun of people who said that for like, closing their eyes and scrolling to the end of the post, or holding up their hand to cover the relevant part of the screen, or whatever, or like typing their reply out with their eyes covered.  to make sure they didn’t read the post they were reblogging.  but i could never really figure out how to make it land
