  Frankly, he hadn’t expected there little war with the MLA to end the way it had- and he certainly didn’t expect nor want to be in charge of a squadron with Geten. 

Hell, he could probably go the full night without speaking a word. His muscles and burns still ached from their fight still. And, yeah, Geten had been correct in his assessment. It was something that Dabi didn’t quite like to advertise, it was why he knew the fight with Machia would be a waste- why burn himself alive when even his best wasn’t enough?

 But for all his years on the streets, Dabi was certain about one thing: if you have a weakness, don’t advertise it. 

 “Wouldn’t you like to know,” he retorts, rolling his eyes and readjusting himself to relieve some tension in his legs.

“Your resistance to my Quirk is more than enough.” The shorter mused as he casually brushed pale white locks from his face.

“I sensed it through out the fight. I can’t actually hurt you.” He explained quietly, turning his bright blue stare to the taller male. “You can endure cold but not your own heat. Thats a strange concept.” Geten plainly said as he crossed his arms and looked away. 

“You were born with the wrong Quirk or...was born to the wrong resistance. I’ve never heard or seen such a peculiar mix-up in genetics. All the same, your fire is something strange too...fires don’t tend to burn so hot like yours.”

“...Why do you follow orders like a run-of-the-mill grunt? Someone so strong could be his own leader...I don’t understand.”

     This was bad. This wasn’t just a run in the mill criminal...this was the Cremator. This was one of the most deadliest men on file. Every man in his force knew who he was...

“Dabi.” 

The serpent grounded out the name under his breath. He reached for his gun in it’s holster, his hand on the hilt but never taking it out. There was still people on the streets...if he pulled the trigger...

He stopped, put his hand down and narrowed his gaze. He couldn’t just let him go...
