david doesn't really know a lot about matteo's special interests but wants to support his boyfriend & will actively encourage matteo to share and talk about them, letting matteo know that it's a safe space for him to be himself.

matteo is relunctant at first. he knows david loves him and he knows it's okay but when you grow up in a society that has ostracized you for being "weird", it's hard to let yourself just be.

it takes time but slowly, matteo starts being more open and David just sits there and listens and he starts getting interested too and researching so he can actually engage matteo in the conversations & matteo has a safe place to talk about his special interests & david is just happy making his boy feel loved!
