“Explains everything about you.” It was a light-hearted jab and Matteo took it as such, flicking David’s cheek as a comeback and loudly scoffing. David just laughed and picked up the cup once again, taking another sip. 

“Everything wrong?” 

“No.” It was more serious than the conversation permitted but David could never pretend to find something wrong with Matteo. There was something so beautiful about the way his boyfriend was so perfectly human. How everything in life crafted and bruised the bright-eyed boy until he was exhausted but he still chose to step through every day, holding a heart filled with love. Matteo was the only proof that David needed that love was real and true and persevered through it all. “Just everything.”

here have a little bit of fruity behaviour . a treat

���I love the way you groan every single time you get out of bed,” David spoke as he dragged his index finger along the design of Matteo’s sweater. The wool was starting to fray, a bunch of tiny fibers rubbing across David’s hand. They were curled up in their bed for the night after a lazy Saturday where they did nothing but just exist within each other’s spaces. David couldn’t help the overwhelming feeling of joy that blossomed into his chest, spilling into his declarations of love over even the simplest things.

“Shut up, I do not groan.” Matteo lifted a hand to cover his face, feigning embarrassment but David could see the tips of his ears darken. David loved how easily it was to tell how Matteo was feeling.

“It’s true.” David let his chin rest on Matteo’s chest, looking up at his boyfriend with wide eyes. His hand stopped dragging along Matteo’s chest and moved towards his jaw, tracing along the tip of his chin, fingernails dragging along the four-day-old stubble. He stopped at the tip of Matteo’s lips, dragging his index finger along the outline before pressing Matteo’s nose very gently.
