If you see in ova, Dhaos already tried to tell them and warn them but humans always thought they know better and if you did not side with them, you were enemies. Dhaos choice to use force and change to evil even if he needs to take blood in his hand.

True that defeating Dhaos was wrong at the end of the game but if we don't defeat Dhaos, he will destroy every human. Dhaos also tried to listen that humans can change like what Chronos thought in Tales of Xillia 2 and Mithos in Tales of Symphonia. So Cless chose to continue to defeat Dhaos because Dhaos's judgement was wrong. There were good humans. If you just wide out everything, that's not going to be better. The same way for Lloyd Irving did in Tales of Symphonia. He knew what he tried to change Colette back to live normal life is wrong but she became like this because Cruxis Crystals or Mithos tried to resurrect Martel. This is wrong even if Mithos planned works and saves the future, this is nothing different from what Dhaos did too. So Lloyd's choice is right to defeat Mithos for the same reason as Cless.

I still don't understand how/if the Tales games interconnect. But man I kinda want to play thru them all in release order and see if I can figure it out.

Or in chronological order, if there actually is an overarching chronology to the series beyond the handful that have direct sequels...

So far Tales of Phantasia is the only one I've actually gotten very far in... I can't remember if I progressed very far after returning to the present day, and I don't recall if I played that far in the SNES or GBA version or both....

What I do recall is that game replaying like butter--a very creamy smooth and enjoyable experience. I dunno why I stopped playing at the point I did, other than maybe either some outside life interference (I was mainly playing when I was an undergrad, so likely I was playing instead of doing college course work :B) or the ever present ADHD fear of actually finishing anything. (Tbh, I still don't wanna kill Dhaos. :< He literally just wants to go home. :< But I do wanna finish ToP eventually..... sorry bro. u_u)

Milla found herself in yet another new place, she was trying to retrace her own "father’s" footsteps, the demon king dhaos as it were or at least as she heard it, the being known as maxwell wanted to know more about who he was, and what happened..but that was over close to six thousand years ago. mana was just barely starting to come back and given her predecessor of the lord of spirits let it happen she didn't exactly find that maxwell to be worth her time even learning about.

"now, where would one go to learn more..the archives i've found from that past have all been second hand fables." she fiddled with a coin a kindly man gave her, looking at the visages of the goddess of life and the god of death. her 'parents.' "and on top of that if derris kharlan saw him as a villain, why would he be revered as a god..it makes, little sense to me."

Milla simply trudged on finding what looked to be ruins well kept ones at that, maybe this was the best place to learn about dhaos, though she couldn't exactly read them she shrugged a little walking away from the ruins, maybe she could hire a translator as she got close to the exit she bumped into a man with striking red hair. "oh my i am truly sorry, i guess i got lost in my own thoughts, apologies."

officially done with tales of phantasia!! i'm so glad i finally sat down and completed the first tales game that started it all :) some random junk thoughts below:

it was definitely really cool seeing all of the events, items, places, artes etc that would eventually be referenced again in symphonia. every time they would mention something that i had heard/seen first in symphonia, i'd be like that leonardo-dicaprio-pointing meme. i would especially get super excited when the fighting of the spirit theme would play when fighting the summon spirits. ugh that song just goes so damn hard, even the psx version!! i think i mentioned it before but it must have been sooooo awesome to play symphonia the first time it came out for those original phantasia fans. the amount of callbacks that there are between the two games is just insane and as a die-hard symphonia fan, i definitely enjoyed every single one of them

special mention to the derris emblem because, although it was super random how you get the emblem (some stranger at a bar gives it to you?? or sells it??), the derris emblem inclusion in symphonia now makes a bit more sense lol.

interesting to see that the church of martel still exists in phantasia. i would have thought that because of that one skit in dawn of the new world where zelos mentions that the church of martel's days are numbered, that it was a reference to the church not being around in phantasia anymore, so it was surprising to see them still kicking around.

the plot twist as to why dhaos is so bent on destroying anyone who uses magitech was not so much as a plot twist having come from symphonia, but even then the game gives you plenty of hints as to what magitech does. still, for a series that's known for its plot twists, this one didn't really have any shocking ones. not really griping on it cus i mean this game is pretty old but i was expecting something larger for its big reveal at the end lol.

that said, the battles at the end were cool, especially the theme that played during dhaos's last transformation. also, i'm guessing dhaos's last phase inspired mithos yggdrasil's design?

luna's summon is so powerful (i had her summon turned on pretty much always except for the final battles) and it's kind of sad how much it was watered down for symphonia.

arche's spells are the MVP of the game. once i finally was able to afford a mystic charm or whatever to speed up her casting, it was over for everyone!

i spent the whole damn game not truly understanding how holy bottles work. even when i'd be in the overworld definitely overleveled in comparison to the overworld enemies, i'd still get encounters. i'd still use them in hopes they would reduce them at least a bit lol.

speaking of, the random encounters weren't so bad but towards the end i was just pretty much fed up with them D: i think for the last three or so dungeons i was just using guides to know exactly where to go because getting lost ON TOP OF having random encounters is NOT fun and i felt like it was ruining the experience for me.

no offense to chester but i never once even considered having him as my party member after he came back. and like, the game gives you chester when you're like 2/3s through and it's like, why? between arche and klarth i felt like i had no reason to ever consider him, and catching him up level- and equipment-wise with other characters was just too much of a hassle so i just stuck with cless-arche-klarth-mint always.

although i started suzu's sidequest and seeing her and the ninja village was definitely cool because Sheena!!!, i didn't finish it since i saw that you'd have to be at least level 60 to complete it due to the coliseum fights and i was like, level 42 when i went into the final dungeon lol. so i might come back to it later since i want to see how it turns out. i know she joins your party but again, at this point unless you want to do it for completionist sake it's like, why D: sorry suzu! still so damn cool that she's so skilled and she's only like freaking 12 years old. before playing phantasia i thought she was going to have a bigger role in the game but hey, this is cool too.

the plot of the game was interesting and the time traveling aspect was cool but, i think overall it just felt kind of flat. after fighting dhaos a SECOND time and him escaping to the future or whatever it was like, "how many times do we have to teach you this, old man?" the game didn't really have any interesting secondary characters to the plot like botta or altessa: sure there was morrisson but that was only at the beginning and yeah his death was sad but after that, you mostly just spend going dungeon to dungeon searching for summon spirits or ways to get stronger to defeat dhaos--not that many secondary plots. again just being picky and i know this is a SNES game but yeah the overall plot got sort of meh after the second time beating dhaos.

the ending was ok, i'm glad to see that arche finally reunited with her mom :)

anyway, overall it was a good game i'd say. the graphics in the game are soooo good to look at and it was the type of SNES-style graphics game i had been itching to play. i know there's an OVA adaptation of the game which i'll have to check out and see what that's all about--i wonder if there will be more interactions between the characters? i kind of felt that the connection between the party members wasn't all there, especially once chester joins.

either way, i'm glad i can now add phantasia to my list of tales games completed, and even more glad that i can now move on to FINALLY start my replay of berseria!!! ohhhh i'm ready to get my heart destroyed again!!

Edalyn: Clow did tell me that Mokona was originally from Cephiro world. My dear sister mentioned that Mokona looked like Hooty and she missed Hooty. So Clow made her another Mokona and another Mokona.

Punch: Oh.... wow...I'm relieved.(If it is true, it could be the worst nightmare.)

Edalyn: I heard that when Hooty first met glasses man, that human boy freak out and call him a black dumpling. Owlbert told me about it.

Punch: His name is Watanuki.....Eh?!

Edalyn: But Clow was okay to change Hooty's name to "Mokona". That's cute but weird. No wonder why Fei Wang couldn't notice him, he's the protection of the shop too.

Punch: Hooty really is Mokona?!

Edalyn: Oh! I also heard that there was a good drin..

From Clamp original, Yuko was originally unknown and even an unknown name. Upon her death, Yūko finally explains her connections with Clow Reed. As Yūko lay dying, Clow Reed had the briefest thought that he wanted her to remain alive. Clow's magic was so powerful that this single thought caused Yūko to become frozen in time. But in Tsubasa of Phantasia, when Clow reed's group fight God___. That God____ cursed Edalyn and changed her to become the witch form of Owl Beast. A Witch is born from a curse or Malevolence when they are filled with impurities. Witches are creatures that feed off of despair and spread darkness. Lilith saved her sister by sacrificing her life but Clow reed saved Lilith's life and that's why Clow reed was dead and no longer exists only in Human realm. To avoid this happening again, Edalyn chose to go back to her homeland and together with Raine created the power to avoid the curse that turns into a witch, hellion, daemon etc. Edalyn had gained control over her despair in Harpy form to attack her enemies during battle, causing massive damage. Both Lilith and Edalyn can't leave their place and never meet again after that day. That's why Edalyn always sent Owlbert to visit Lilith and Punch met Owlbert for the first time in Tsofph season 9(final judgement)

The name "Yuko" was given when came to visit Madoushi for the first time and before went to Magic Knight Rayearth dimansion. Madoushi was a fortune teller in Hong Kong who was quite popular until Clow Reed came to town. Despite not being a fortune teller himself, Clow Reed made future predictions that were more accurate than Madoushi's, which angered her, and led her to challenge him to one fight after another. Confident and sassy, Edalyn is best described as rebellious, which made Madoushi challenge Clow Reed in the first place. After Clow Reed monopolized the fortune-telling market in Hong Kong, Madoushi became dangerously competitive with him, at least initially. The flashback of Clow Reed giving her a birthday present in the form of a hair ornament indicates that the two may have reconciled at some point and even started falling in love. She started developing feelings for him, but it isn't indicated if he returned the feelings. She constantly made mentioned that there was something she wanted to tell him, presumably that she loved him. Unlike her sister Lilith, Eda is vehemently anti-authoritarian, having little to no respect for laws and authority in general. She refuses to join any of the covens because she views them as crooked and for the limitations, they place on magic. She is also not a fan of the educational system for similar reasons, bemoaning its reliance on "blind obedience" and "pointless busywork". Lilith has more empathetic and caring towards others but still retains her prideful nature similar to Edalyn. After Yūko's Shop was created and alone before meeting Dhaos again, Lilith made her decision and change her name to Yuko Ichihara. Yuko's first name translates as "to help, assist, repay kindness," coinciding with her roles as wish-granter and Watanuki mentor.

Lilith Clawthorne was born as the eldest daughter to Gwendolyn and Dell Clawthorne. She was noted to be very independent from a young age, and while her mother loved her dearly, Gwendolyn was much more attentive to her younger sister Eda. She had a very close relationship with her younger sister, to the point where she used a pain sharing spell to lessen the pain of her injured sister during their childhood. As a teenager, Lilith attended Hexside School of Magic and Demonics as a potions student alongside her more troublesome sister; she was a studious and well-disciplined student and even served as team captain of the Banshees.

I actually had the story and characters ready before The Owl House and Sonic Frontiers came out. For example, Dr Eggman and Magilou will have one girl made from Ai. At first just spies, but in the end, become a family. I planned only that she will name Sage because of the lego name SEGA. I didn't design her apparent yet until Sonic Frontiers initial release. I don't know if they create her and name her Sage. Top of that, created by Eggman too. I don't know if that was a coincidence or not. But I chose that design by Sonic Team anyway. The reason I choose Sage from Sonic Frontiers for a reason is that it symbolizes the Sonic era coming back.(I mean her character is good). Tsofph season 6 show marked the return of Sonic and the era in which I discovered Sonic was supposed to be. The seasons are like my history that I discover year after year and I will stop in 2020, but when The Owl House comes out. I decided that if I saw a good movie in this era, I would add more. I don't know what season it will appear in. But the story of Tsofph remains the same. For example. If Fate Grand Order or Disney or an abandoned old film or history or fanfiction or fanart or Artist can make the characters weird and win my heart, I will put it in Tsofph's story. This Tsofph story is like a cultural journey around the world. (Because I read a lot of nonfiction books in the past.) Oh, I forget something. I'm going to prove that without cheating or Ai cannot be able to copy Tsofph's story or prove why people both in the past and present no one can replace them or even pretending to be them or if they did it from their heart, not for money. That's the real history that should remember.
