Happy Tom Of Finland Day! Yes, the most important day of the year. Debatably. But hey, it's way up there. This is a day for leather, for gear, for plenty of raunchy hard banging. Get to work, men - this is an important day in the history of leatherman-kind.

I was a kid when I first happened upon the Tom of Finland book, which was oddly enough on my art teacher's bookshelf. Sure, nudes and Andy Warhol, yeah, but why on earth was that on the shelf in a public school? But it was enough for me to start on a journey, one which I still carry on with today. This is Tom's Day, this is the ToF Day, and this is the day that we look back over that artwork and, well, fondle ourselves hungrily and appreciate what he did for us.

Happy Birthday, Tom/Touko Laaksonen. We are here, because you literally drew us a path to stomp - in leather boots.
