My BoardWalk Empire Vent
Just a few days ago I had finally finished the Show BoardWalk Empire. I had watched seasons 1 & 5, literally cause both seasons are expensive as a 5 freakin' day trip to Disneyland. Season 1 had taught me so much about the Characters personality and kinda filled the "Gap" for me atleast, between seasons 1 and 2. When I watched Season 5 after watching Season 1, the simplest way I can express this. It was Depressing as the actual "Great Depression". Each episode played the downfall and "piano drop" for the few main characters still making it in '31!!! MICKEY DOYLE DIDN'T DESERVE IT!!! Everything that the characters were doing in the season 5 were hinting a dead end. When Luciano and Capone were rising to power it wasn't a surprise but it was still "Wow". When Nucky was telling Eli to leave, that was also an emotional drop as well as Him seeing Margret and then like being lovers for a day then again and never seeing her ever again... Like ever. Then lastly there's Nucky's death which was a shocking moment for me but the relationship he formed with (didn't know then) Tommy Darmody was kinda like a throwback to when he was taking Jimmy under his wing. After finishing the show, it got me thinking alot.... Like lot.. WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO ARNOLD ROTHSTEIN?!?! I would even think about it in my sleep lmao. I kept and still thought about how seasons 2-3 were more like the highlight of the show. Boardwalk Empire has been the only show ever I have fallen greatly in love with and earns the perk of my "all-time favorite show" and I believe it is the best portrayal of the Roarin'Twenties (better than Peaky Binders, if you think otherwise fight me in DMs). Now I think that concludes an hour of my day and I hope you all have a Swellll Afternoon ;))

can’t fill the hole inside of you with money, drugs and cars
A/N: I think it was @glensidesghost that had this idea, and @portiaadams wanted to be tagged. If anyone else does, let me know.
PART TWO
This is entirely unedited, because I’m running on caffeine and spite, and is probably more of a snippet than anything, but yeah, this is what I have so far. There will definitely be more. Also these pictures fit together super well, I’m👌

“I guess the kid takes after his father more than people thought.”
Honestly, the news about Thompson’s death doesn’t come as a surprise. It was always going to happen sooner or later, in their line of work, but Darmody’s kid wasn’t even on the list of people he’d considered might have done it. Little Tommy Darmody, grown up to be a killer. He wonders what his mother might think of it all, before he remembers that she’s gone too.
“More than you thought, you mean.”
“What, you’re telling me you knew Nucky was gonna get shot by a kid? Not just any kid, but Jimmy Darmody’s kid?”
Meyer doesn’t look up from the papers he’s going over, making small corrections in the print with his pencil, that one he’s always got tucked inside his jacket pocket, nestled alongside the notebook he never leaves behind. Charlie sees the smirk, though, and huffs a little while he waits for Meyer to answer.
“Vengeance for a father. It’s not the most uncommon thing for someone to do, especially if said father was murdered. But I always figured things might go this way.”
“How do you figure that?”
“Easy,” Meyer glances sideways at him and deftly reaches out to take the cigarette from between his fingers, taking a quick draw of it before Charlie swipes it back. “He might have been Darmody’s kid, but Richard Harrow raised him too.”
“Hm. Guess you’re right.”
For a minute, it’s quiet, save for the soft sound of Meyer’s pencil working, before Charlie sighs and acts like he’s not watching Meyer watch him. “I’m gonna go see him.”
“And why would you do that?”
Charlie shrugs. “Dunno. Maybe the kid’ll want a job or something. If he ever gets out of there.”
It’s Meyer’s turn to sigh, now, finally puts his pencil down and gives Charlie his full attention, something that’s pretty rare these days now that they’re finally out of the shadows of Maranzano and Rothstein and Masseria.
“Why are you so interested in the kid?”
“I’m not. I’m just, you know, I feel bad for him I guess. No father, no mother, lost everyone that he coulda called family. That’s a lonely life.”
He can tell the second Meyer understands what he’s not really saying, because Meyer blinks at him like he’s startled and then frowns a little. He gets that wrinkle between his eyebrows that he only gets when he’s thinking hard about something.
“He’s in prison, Charlie. For murder, remember?”
“Come on, Meyer. We could look after him, teach him, just like AR did for us.”
“The kid’s in prison. It’s a bad idea, are we just supposed to wait until his time is served or find a way to bust him out?”
Meyer barely shifts when Charlie throws an arm around his shoulder, just readjusts himself so they both don’t go toppling over.
“I was thinking something more along the lines of finding a judge or something we can pay off.”
He grins when Meyer shakes his head, but he knows he’s won from the way Meyer reaches into his pocket and opens the notebook, carefully marking a note down in the pages. “We’ll see what we can do.”

The Fever Called Living
A miracle occurred. I posted a chapter.
"Charlie?" Meyer asked again. The air was so thick with smoke that Meyer thought he would choke on it. No longer was it the bright, late afternoon autumn day of just minutes ago. Now Manhattan looked like Grodno, like soldiers had just come through, he even thought he heard the wail of an old woman-
Benny bit his lip. "I don't know yet, but Mey, we gotta-"
Gunfire filled the air. He pushed back thoughts of Charlie, and let the weight of his weapon settle comfortingly in his hand just as he saw a light hit off coppery locks in the gray gloom.
Meyer aimed over Benny's shoulder.
Benny spun, his gun out, and Meyer was only just able to push his arm down before Benny fired.
