Voting starts now!

On the TOG Femslash Discord Server, voting for the 2022 Fanwork Awards has started today!

Join over 80 other fans of the women of The Old Guard on the server to have fun chatting about ships and characters, and to show your love for your favorite fics, artworks and more in the awards!

Voting will stay open for two weeks for the art categories, fic categories will stay open longer, some with many longfics as long as two months to give everyone time to read and vote.

Nomination Categories

Through August and September, nominations for the Fanwork Awards on the Femslash Guard Discord Server are open!

You can nominate different things such as:

fanfiction

fanart

manips

videos

comments on your fanworks

moodboards, memes, meta and more

These groups are split up into many more categories, you can find them all on the discord server! They're also separated by sfw and adult content, so minors can be part of the event but everything can still be nominated somewhere.

Until nominations close on the 20th of September, we will introduce a few of the categories to you in more detail, and you can join the server or follow @theoldguardfemslashdiscord to hear about them and show the categories that haven't gotten many nominations yet some love!

The fanwork awards are there to allow everyone, not just creators themselves, to participate in the fandom and show their appreciation for the TOG Femslash community - and we also want to show our love for those of you who keep the fandom running by supporting writers, artists and other creators in the comment sections, and hopefully inspire others to do the same in the future, so here is a category for comments!

If you are a creator yourself and have a few favourite comments and replies saved, or you comment a lot on Ao3 and saw someone else's comment that you loved, you can nominate them in the awards!

As this blog can be viewed by everyone, we will post the information to this category under a readmore - please only proceed below it if you are 18+!

For the most part, the fanwork awards are sfw-only, but there are also a few nsfw categories, in channels on the discord server that only adults can access.

You can nominate:

M/E rated fanfiction (or if a rating is missing because the fic is 'not rated' or posted to other sites any smut, other sexual content, or violence/gore above the canon-typical violence

Specific erotica scenes for different femslash and poly ships (you nominate the smut scene by chapter link and/or beginning sentence of the scene instead of just nominating the entire fanfiction, so you can nominate sex scenes out of longfics as well)

NSFW visual content (anything goes - art, manips, moodboards,...), sexual content, gore, anything else children shouldn't see.

You have until the 20th to join the discord server and nominate your favorites!
