With the sterellon gone, you'd think life would go back to normal. You'd be half right. Things have calmed down, there were Fragmentum monsters lurking, the harsh winter that enveloped the planet raged on. Yet there was a small plant of hope sprouting in everyone's hearts. The storm wouldn't intensify anymore, the areas where the monsters had taken over had been pushed back without the source feeding it. And everyone did their best to help with rebuilding the lost connection between the Overworld and the Underworld. For all intent and purposes, things should've been going smoothly.
But wherever there is Sampo Koski, there is trouble. His role has ended here but Belobog, now Jarilo-VI thanks to their reconnecting to the rest of the galaxy, still lingered around. For what reason? Only the thief knew. It didn't matter, the next script didn't need him to be present so he had time to kill on this planet. With some areas less occupied with those monsters, little thieves like himself were able to sneak around in some of the more restricted areas of the Underworld.
Business was the same, get some precious Geomarrow and you'll get rich. The more pure the stuff, the higher the price. So of course Koski was there, with pickaxe at hand and a bag to store his goodies. Green hues shined as he stared at one particular vein he found. It was thick and filled with the precious glowing gold.
“Jackpot!” He laughed to himself. Oh he knew it was a good idea to spread rumors about some beasts lurking around. Otherwise the place would've been sucked dry! So he went to work, finding the right place to strike. Though… It was quiet. Very quiet.
Ungodly amount of quiet. All he had to hear was his own thoughts and the occasional step of his shoes. It didn't alarm him, but to anyone else, it wasn't a good sign. Anything could pop up. Anything. Even a demon from another world. But what was the possibility of that happening today, in this particular location? “I need to stop reading books before sleeping.” He muttered. He was scaring himself!
But he should be worried. Corrupted by Fragmentum, such a thing did happen. A beast from a different dimension quietly stalked the blue haired thief. Mouth agape with the urge to rip and tear. Its presence is only known when it steps on a rock that's a bit too weak. It breaks under its weight.
Sampo barely gets a chance to look over when it sprints towards him. A loud yell comes from his mouth, echoing in the mines.
