Still working out the details of how the concept of death works for the Spawn. When they die their spirit is still anchored to their body. They don't truly die until someone else delivers their spirit through a passing stone, or else the lingering energy left behind can cause problems. Passing stones are specially made grave markers with a hole in the middle lined with magic. Going through it allows them to fully die. It's considered one of the highest honors to be appointed as a Shepard to guide souls to their final rest.

Ashryn believes that enough soul sacrifices to the dead saint he serves will provide enough magic to rip open the Great Vein, a rift that the Spawn’s ancestors appeared from. He's hellbent on letting Ifarna fall to a magic plague he created so long as he gets to ditch it first.

Getting Vex back is important to the Pale Order bc of the lives they took with them when they escaped. They have a literal army's worth of souls latched onto them so a source of magic like that not being offered up is unacceptable.

Nevari was briefly a Shepard candidate but Ashryn has that title and he's definitely not above murder to keep it.

Appearance:

Most who see Ash see a beauty with the fairest skin.  Her angular oval face showed no sign of age nor the stresses of life with high cheekbones, a thin sharp jawline, full lips and a petite nose.  Yet her soft sad smile, and wide green eyes filled with wonderment told a different story.  Her body carried ample curves as she walked with a confident and graceful sway.  She needed little makeup with only red lipstick and dark eyeshadow covering her face.  Her silky long dark hair curled slightly when let down but in most cases was pulled into a messy ponytail.  Her back has been emblazoned with a runic orange phoenix and her wrists are tattooed with arcane runes that swirl around them changing color every so often.

Ash normally wears reds, greens, and black clothes spending on the situation.  All her clothing is enchanted as per her father’s orders to keep her protected at any cost as well as look lovely on his daughter showing off her womanly form.  Ash normally wears tight pants and high boots made of the finest silks, linens, or leathers, a nice crop top made from the finest silks.  Each of her dresses are perfectly made and like her other clothing made from silk.  When she travels she prefers her high collared red coat over the rest of her clothes.  She wears three rings one each hand with two being special, one a deep crimson ruby and the other a dark emerald.  She has three studs in each ear made from gold.  She wears a silver locket with red and emerald gems when opened and has a picture of her mother and siblings as kids.  At her side is a pouch on her belt and a sword and her grimoire.  From time to time she carries her staff or a scythe.   The perfume she uses smells like roses, honey, and lilacs.

Personality:

Ash has a fiery personality that hungers for adventure after years of being kept to the shadows.  Despite her upbringing she wants to help people though still yearns to learn more about the world and study new types of spells and magics.  Some may mistake her as shy at first but she watches people with an inquisitive look and when she opens up has a firey passion and anger that her brother Demetrius’.  She will do what she must to protect her family.

Ash enjoys reading, swordplay, playing her violin, researching a new spell or item, history, sewing, working on her enchanting, and playing games.  She dislikes anyone that dares to harm her family especially her siblings, dancing, and racists.  She also has a deep disliking of moths.

Gear:

Clothing and Armor: Ash’s clothes are all enchanted to protect her from physical harm done by mundane and some magical weapons as well as resist fire.  Each piece is made from the finest of silks or leathers with a long coat that bears the same enchantments.

Jewelry: Ash wears three rings on each hand.  Her ruby one was a gift from the mother she never got to meet that she wears on her right hand.  It allows her better control over fire spells.  Next on the opposite hand is an emerald gifted to her by her father that can act as an emergency soul stone.  The rest of her rings are for decoration only.  She wears a locket that holds a picture of her mother on one side and a picture of her siblings as children on the other.  She wears three golden studs in each ear with an emerald in each.

Miscellaneous Items: She has a simple belt with a pouch and a holder for her grimoire and some scrolls.  Her pouch acts as a bag of holding where she keeps some adventuring supplies and reagents inside.

Armaments and Trinkets: Ashe carries a bone like sword carved from the rib of a demon, a gift from her fencing master.  Another blade she has is a broken demonic hilt that when channeled becomes a fel flamed saber.  She can summon to her side a staff that can spring forth a scythe for her to fight with and channel her spells through.  Outside of that she carries a grimoire or as she likes to call it a book of shadows where she writes down new spells and keeps notes on various people and creatures.  Her book can be recalled to her hand at will and without the right magics, cypher and codex is unreadable to others save herself.

Abilities and Skills:

Ash is a sorceress and witch brought up within the An’velas secret coven.  As such she has learned how to control fel and fire as if it were second nature.  Due to the strong magic of her bloodline and sharp mind she is a prodigy with magic and has learned how to harness her Dawnshadow bloodlines use of the Darkness Flame to be on par with her older brother’s and has also dabbled in hemomancy.

She was raised with a nobles education and has learned how to maneuver around courts though she still lacks experience.  Besides that she has learned to mix various potions and poisons. She has learned to fight with her staff scythe and channel her raw power through it and has studied the blade.

Ash can drain the lifeforce of others to heal herself or another, control normal fire, fel, and shadow flames, summon a felstalker, dreadsteed or her sayaad handmaiden through her study of demonology, scrye for persons or things of interest to her, and create barriers and form portals and rituals.  Finally she can soul stone herself or others as well as use a stone to bring someone back.  

History:

Ash was born out of wedlock from a union between her father Lord Admmari An’valas, and Lady Lana’thel Dawnshadow.  She would never meet her mother due to Lord An’valas wiping her mother’s mind of their affair and her existence after she was born.  Ash was raised solely in secret by her father and his most trusted members of the coven with his lawful wife not even knowing of her existence.  

Ash yearned for a time she could be free of her studies; which she did like, and meet and befriend her older siblings.  She would watch them from afar play and fight with one another.  Over the years she learned more and more magic and even began to harness her mother’s black flames.  She would learn how to defend herself as well.  Eventually Ash was discovered by her older brother on her father’s side; Vandel who used her existence as a way to blackmail their father.  She grew to resent that particular brother.

Kept hidden as the secret heir to her father’s meager empire Ash continued to long for the day where she would be free to explore life outside of her studies and the coven.  The day would arrive as soon as her brother married but alas his wedding day turned to be a dour one for her family as most of her father’s side of the family was slain by the undead.  Ash was whisked away by a trusted member of the coven and placed into a form of suspended animation in a glass coffin for years till the night of her father’s death at the hands of her brother on her mother’s side; Demetrius Dawnshadow.  Ash and Dem would eventually meet and become as thick as thieves over a time where they were lost in time.

Ashryn Drieu - Courier Services

Hello!

I’m very interested in offering up my IC services and home.

The name in title is my in-game name and my home is LB 11/49. The upstairs is a fully decorated storefront while the lower floor is a meeting, lunge and office. Discord for contact PixlFace#5225.

Currently my character is affiliated with EDEN. As an on contract courier for the Fc to use freely. She also owns and runs a delivery company called the Crimson Glade Courier Service, currently specializing in transporting books, lab equipment, precious goods and other academia based supplies. While this may be expanded upon with the right coin. Her business is focused on smaller goods as a very swift personal delivery is guaranteed. Riding a large amber draught chocobo named Crim and carries her goods inside a refurbished Allagan node; it’s sole purpose to securely hold goods and reduce weight.

Ashryn herself is a very passive, business minded, perfectionist bookworm. Whom cares not for what she carries and assures full confidentiality.
