Looking Forward To: officially becoming a permanent employee at my workplace after nearly two years of being temp/as-needed so I can get some healthcare. I've had several health problems and a metric fuckton of stress this winter and I just want to get this sorted out so I can start writing again.

I want to write so badly but it’s been over a month now of just paralyzing anxiety and I just don’t know if I can do it anymore. write, that is.

also just…so tired of navigating state health insurance and trying to find a healthcare provider who accepts my insurance and has more than a 2 star review average. I want to go back on meds but my health insurance might change soonish (march), also my ear has been plugged for two weeks and it’s hard to think about anything other than that and why it mysteriously happened and why it won’t go away.

I just want to feel normal again.

ok I got the full-time permanent job with benefits after multiple years of intern and temp work and while this does not resolve the lack-of-time-to-be-insane-about-my-interests-or-write-or-draw problem, it will solve the whole constantly being scared that I wasted my time and I'm just going to get fired anyway problem.

I've been reading a lot of freud in between all of this and I'm slowly outlining an aventurine analysis post. it's coming I'm just really really slow these days. on that note though, I do kinda have a rant about the contentification of fandom and the very strange tension between the thoughtfulness of certain storylines in genshin and honkai and the gacha+6 week update cycle business model....idk if I will ever write it though it will probably just swirl in my head forever

someday I will look back on these years of playing hoyoverse games and it will fully hit me how skillful you have to be as a development team to motivate so many people to read philosophical texts and engage critically with history and ideas just to understand the greater messages your games are sending and to do all of that FOR FUN???

if you told me 10 years ago i would be motivated to read marx because of a game i was playing i would have fucking laughed you out the room but here i am on my couch with the german ideology and fucking hegel

i am so tempted to start tower of fantasy just for the evangelion collab. like, get the rewards from the collab, then stop playing. partially to make up for missing the honkai x eva collab. idk, I'm still thinking about it.
