Samwise Gamgee comes home after the adventure, walk to the exact Western edge of the Shire and announces "if I take one more step, it'll be the furthest away from Mordor I've ever been."

He looks over his shoulder expecting to see Frodo punching him but actually sees Frodo zooming past him at a sprint in a distinct Westerly direction.
