Good morning, sweet Alice!! I hope everything is OK with you. I was off for a bit and am catching up. I just want to say thank you for sharing your personal story about being scared at the museum. I am so sorry you felt that way, but I do think it's important to spread awareness since the media clearly won't. I am often shocked sometimes when I talk to someone who just doesn't get how bad antisemitism has gotten. We are in grant writing season for the festival, and weekly, I talk to people from all over about what they face. Especially those who traveled to Isreal over the holidays. Sometimes, actually hearing it from someone they know carries so much more weight than something you glance over in the news. So thank you, and if there is anything we can ever do help, I hope you say so. BTW isn't your birthday approaching?

And just to throw in some Buddie love.. I was dying at the team putting them in those suits for their oceans 11 poker night. Like we saw them suit up for Hens wedding and they were super fine.. However, can I just add those suits were a level up and definitely a statement. Just a loud total statement. Can you imagine 2 over 30 guys you know showing up anywhere looking like that and you are just like, look the 2 super hedro platonic crime fighting raising kid together duo arrived to the party and there is absolutely everything normal about their outfits!! So as always to the 911 tem I thank you!!

It will only tell the story it thinks it can gain something from. I am CONSTANTLY shocked by how bad antisemitism is getting, and how little is done about it. I have a post queued up that, to say it shocked me is just... not enough. I could post once every single day about the rise in antisemitism, and it still wouldn't be enough. It breaks my heart to hear from Jewish kids who visit our Holocaust museum about how they're harassed and bullied for sharing that they're going to Israel to see family, friends or even simply to get to see the sights of their ancestral homeland. It's insane to me that this is what we've come to less than 100 years after the end of the Holocaust. No "Never again!" statement is worth a damn thing if this is how Jewish kids get treated. Thank you again, for listening to the voices of distressed Jews, for wanting to hear us, for being so kind to us when we speak! I did say a few words here about what can be done for starters. But really, anything to raise awareness regarding how Jews are being targeted worldwide. In this context, thank you for what you do at your job, too! *HUGS FOREVER*

LOL I couldn't agree with you more regarding Buddie and their VERY OBVIOUS DATE COUTURE. Like, their suits for the Henren wedding were respectable. Their suits for the poker date were MEANT TO ENTICE. They were SHARP and SEDUCTIVE. Even on the level of the fabrics chosen for the suits! Let alone the colors, they way our boys carried themselves in them, and the way the suits worked together to make them look like an actual couple, almost as if they coordinated beforehand. There was NOTHING platonic about ANY of the poker shenanigans, suits included, and I still feel half mad whenever I think about it. ;D

Epik High in Berlin, European tour 2019

Although Berlin is 4 hours by bus from where I live, I just couldn't miss the chance to go see Epik High and their first ever concert in Europe with their new album Sleepless in __________!!!

I don't know where to begin but I should start by saying it was amazing, just like every concert of theirs that I was lucky enough to attend. Last time I saw them, I got to be about a meter away from Mithra when he came into the crowd to take the family picture and this time, I shook hands with him ;; twice for the record, I joked around with Tukutz, pointing fingers at each other (I felt so embarrased after I did that lol) and I managed to... slightly touch the fingertips of Tablo 🙈

The entrance and the queuing was a bit chaotic but we (fans) pulled through and after putting my coat in the cloakroom, I could finally enter the venue. Almost miraculously, I managed to find one friend that I made while waiting outside (I am always going to their concerts alone haha where are some friends who have similar music taste as me😭)!!! And she was standing right below the stage, where you could literally rest your hands on the stage... No security barrier or anything 😍 so I stayed there, she even shared her water with me 😢💖 and we were both excited to see them come up the stage. At 8 the concert began, Tukutz came on stage first and played a piece of classical music, I think it was Moonlight sonata (not sure though) and then it slowly faded into In Seoul. Then Tablo and Mithra came on stage, the crowd shouting, and we heard the first words from Tablo which were “Hello Berlin!”.

After In Seoul, they performed No Thnx which pumped up the energy but I still didn’t feel the Epik energy that I experienced on their other conerts. It felt like they were a bit unsure of how to treat us, European fans, but once they saw our faces and heard our screams, I looked specifically at Mithra, he had such a delighted and even proud smile on his face. After that they played Here come the regrets - an entirely English song - to which everyone knew the lyrics, then Bleed and Burj Khalifa, which really hyped up the crowd. Btw we were like 200 people in the audience which I loved because it felt really personal ;;. Also a funny thing, I was taking these short videos throughout the concert to not forget all the songs they played and during Burj Khalifa, I saw they were opening the water bottles and right before they poured it onto us, I stopped recording and hid my phone 😂😂 .

“That was fun” said Tablo. He asked for towels (to throw out later) and asked us “Did you guys like the album?” -mediocre response- “Did you guys love the album?” -very loud shouting- 😂 “Did you all hear the album? Then I’m sure you’ll know this next song, Let’s go!”. That’s how 새벽에 (Eternal Sunshine) started. A lot of people also sung along because the chorus is partly English~ During this song, Tabo sat down at the edge of the stage almost right next to me ;; but it was so nice seeing their smiles when they saw we know the words to the songs they had released.. not even two days before the concert.

Next played Love love love and there was a short break where they (Tablo) talked about how they came to Europe, that they were jetlagged because the trip through London took them 20 hours and that they got reenergetized when they got on stage. They also said that the night before, they ordered a glass of beer each and that it was huge 😂😂 but they still drank two each. Tablo also said that it was the first time for them to be in Germany, and first time ever in Europe for Tukutz. Tablo asked Mithra and Tukutz to say something to us and they tried, it was cute and funny, one Korean fan (that happened to be traveling in Berlin right on that day) shouted 사랑해 (I love you) when Mithra was speaking so he said it to her back and then said it in German too ;;

Then they talked about how they have to leave their families for a long time to do the tour so some fan shouted “Home is far away” and they almost didn’t perform it because “it’s in our contract that we can’t sing any songs that were spoiled. I don’t want to put you on the spot *fan’s name* but thanks to him, Tukutz had to delete the track”. I almost believed him when he started rapping his verse without the backing track 🤣🤣

After that, they took us according to Tablo’s words “way back. I don’t know if you’ll know this song” and it was Map the soul ;; I like that song so much and I got overly excited over it 🤣. After this, they said “it’s not hot enough here” so I was mentally preparing myself for jumping and getting hit by water. Kill this love, High Technology, One (Tukutz went to the front, danced, he did the floss omg, hilarious, and he stood right above me - that’s when the finger pointing fooling around with me happened ;;; I have made him laugh ;;;; anyways.. (I died a little on the inside) I also really love One so I was really excited and singing along..

Then Tablo was all of a sudden saying it’s almost over...??? and “I do all this talking and he (Tukutz) does “I’m good”... I have to rap, I have to talk, 말좀해 ~씨” 😂😂😂 So Tukutz started speaking English and he actually said a lot of things!!! “I’m sorry, this time is my first visit to Europe, I’m so excited and so happy, I’ll be back soon, thank you for coming to our show and I love you, I’m good” so Tablo went “That was unbelievably good” and they switched places. Then the Korean fan literally yelled “김정식” and he was so surprised 😂😂😂 so he started speaking Korean “네? 아 안녕하세요” and Tablo said “Say hello to the new leader of Epik High” but Tukutz brought up the idea of taking a picture (all in English) so we were taking the family picture for a while. They jumped into the crowd but then couldn’t get back up lolol but after they did, they performed Fan and even did the dance hihi.

Then it really seemed like the end, they didn’t come back up for a long time but the bass from Born hater started playing. Born Hater and Don’t hate me were the only encore songs... I was kinda sad when it really ended because they always did two encores and teased us about it but they probably had to cut it short because of the venue... the guards were really unfriendly and they kicked me out because it was VIP time and I was still talking to some of the people who had those tickets... That’s how I got separated from everyone I got to know, I went to get my coat and I went to my hotel room, I took a walk from the subway and listened to the new album ;;

The only thing that was a bit disappointing was that Tablo promised merch but there was none in the end ㅠㅠ but I got a concert bracelet from a few girls who made them for them for 2€ (they said it would go to charity but I wouldn't mind spending that money on a memory tbh😅)

Also I felt embarrassed at times because I was the only one nearby who knew and actually sang out loud some Korean lyrics 😂😂 I also got way too excited for songs like High technology, Fan and Love love love 🤣 I mean, I did the L letter with my hand when nobody really did it..

I also felt that they were talking less than usually but that may have been because of the language barrier..! and if you ever have the chance to, go to their concert in Korea... the energy there is unbelievable. But you don’t get to shake hands with Mithra when he’s performing muhaha (I’m still in disbelief he came to me and my friend and shook hands with us.. just like that, and he came back later to shake them again) I’m really speachless... and sleepless

Arisha’s 3rd Fan Meeting Experience

ARISHAMOD FINALLY SEES KOMIYA ARISA IN PERSON

As many of you have seen from my updates, I finally had the chance to see Arisha live at her Fan Meeting, which happened on 16 July 2017. Here is a small report of what I could remember and my spaghetti on everything that happened!

Day 1 & 2

Let’s start with the trip~ I flew from Singapore to Japan on a 7 hours Singapore Airlines Flight. Rather enjoyable flight since it was SIA and I was with my Dia neso : >.

On day 2 I did a little shopping in Akiba on the second day, buying UOs and Mari nesos for the SG squad :3 Kinda regretted after someone showed me how easy it was to get them from crane games... But meh I’m not paying for most of the nesos anyway :3

Arisha 3rd Fan Meet

I woke up and saw a tweet about fans queuing at at 7am and i knew i wont be able to secure Arisha Merchandise ):. So i went out with the rest who were in Tokyo on that day at Akiba. We went around looking at merchandise at Kbooks.

After having lunch, Fotc, Nozoheh and Astrobunny (from the /r/ll discord) went to the Sega cafe while i went back to my hotel first since i have forgotten my money that i left aside for the merchandise in my hotel (and since the venue was really nearby too). I went down to the venue early at 4pm for the sales of the goods and it was crowded AF.

I didn’t manage to grab the Happi and mini photo book TT (WHICH IMO WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT ONES WTF WHY DIDN’T I QUEUE EARLIER GREATEST REGRET WHAT ARE YOU DOING ARISHAMOD?!)

I waited a while for Fotc (who was my plus 1) and we went in together and i was really, REALLY EXCITED. THE KIND OF EXCITEMENT WHICH MAKES YOU WANT TO THROW (or maybe it was just me being super nervous meeting my #1 favourite). Once the lights deemed and Arisha started announcing her fan meeting was about to begin, everyone went crazy!

When she came on stage, my heart skipped so many beats x.x SHE WAS IN A PINK DRESS AND HAD BRAIDS THAT ENDED IN TWINTAILS OMGOSH! She immediately started singing “Natsu Matsuri” ( 夏祭り ) and we started going along with the chants and waving our Kingblades. Some of them even broke UOs the moment she came out (which i regret not bringing TT) Her voice was so good omgosh and the song was sang really well.

She then ended the song and introduced the MC for the day, Maeda-san. He was pretty good, since he was able to lead the conversation and did everything a MC did. They chatted a little, welcomed everyone and moved on to the second song.

Holy sheets the second song! I saw it from the song lists that were leaked from tweets from the first session and already knew what it was. I changed my Kingblade to yellow and followed the calls to “Busters Ready Go!”. It really brought back memories and Arisha's take on the song was so good! Not biased at all! She sang it with some rock in her voice and the chances of that is so rare outside of her fan meets. It was really enjoyable!

Next was sailor moon's " Moonlight Densetsu ". This song really brought about the 90′s vibes LOL. Now that I am thinking about it, the two songs were significant since she mentioned that she started dancing and performing by pursuing two of her favorite shows, the sentai series and sailor moon series. I didn’t know the calls to this song very well (since i never saw it when i was young as my mom never let me near it and the song came out before I was born ) but i knew some of it while researching on Arisha. After that they had a skit segment for Arisha (sad face coz no Q&A). She was to pick out from 4 boxes and perform a small skit based on it. (Imagine the skit segments in Aqours’ Niconama). First box was the theme, second box was the location, the third box was the person, and the last box was what she was doing. There were funny scenes like -Preparing for dance with a male partner while eating leftover food. (She perform the skit where she was dancing and eating at the same time and it was hilarious) -Eating an entire cake at a hospital and getting caught by her Senpai (i forgot the name of the senpai... sorry!) I either couldn’t remember the rest or i was not able to catch what they were saying. (Sorry im still not great at listening to japanese especially when they were sometimes talking at super speeds for the segment) The segment was fun because she was showing off her acting skills omgosh i almost fainted x.x After that she performed “Seikan Hikou”( 星間飛行 ). I recognised it from Macross but didn’t really know the calls, but it was a pretty fun song to wota to ^^. Once again her voice is really good omgosh the highs (even though her lows are much nicer :x)

She then performed "Platinum”.( プラチナ ). Cardcaptor Sakura! This feels so much like my age group :x (thinking of it we are pretty close in age maybe we can get married)

After the songs there was a present chuusen. Basically it is like a lucky draw where they gave out signed version of her merchandise. She would pull out a number and if it matched your ticket number you can redeem it after the show.

The highlight of this portion was Arisha encouraging people to shout "YAY" if they got it. (Imagine the same yay she did at Kanshasai Gu~rinpa segment). Someone went "YATTA" and the MC, Maeda-san told him it was YAY and everyone laughed when he was asked to YAY instead LOL. After that she perform her "last" song, “Touch” (タッチ) and ended the performance. But those in the second session knew about the song list anyway so we chanted for an encore.

She came back for an encore!!!! YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY. She was in this skirt and her Arisha Happi over her shirt (im sure this picture came from the 1st session though cause her hair...)

The last two songs she performed was still the most lit. “ Cruel Angel's Thesis” (残酷な天使のテーゼ ) from Evangelion was so hyped and her voice was so amazing! She did her own version though :x

The last song she did was “Lion” (ライオン) and omgosh even though her voice waver at some parts, her take on the song and her energy while singing it was soooooo good. The best way to end it off! After that we had post encore MC and she ended it off with group photo taking. She took pictures with 3 different part of the crowd. Each separated by pillars at the venue. She really is the dorky Arisha that I love cause she keeps YAYYYYY-ing with all of us

Some random thoughts from the fan meet:

-i was kinda salty cause the venue was an open area except for this three pillars in the middle that blocked the view of those at the back. I was one of the few that had moments where i could not see Arisha TT -The site did mention that there was a female sitting area and males were in the standing area. There were seats on the second floor that were exclusively female only. When Arisha point or waved at the center portion of the crowd you could actually hear them fangirling from the second level. Arisha talked about the girl only area and then they started to fangirl again. The funny thing is that the guys on the first floor felt left out were imitating them and screaming in high pitch voices together with the girls. The MC picked up on it everyone laughed about it.

-Someone collapsed or something happened to them (it was on the other side of the venue so i couldn’t see what happened) during the skit segment and they handled it so professionally, letting the staff take over, taking the opportunity to remind everyone to stay hydrated cause of the weather, and continued on. -When we were taking photos at the end, Arisha took a photo with each section of the crowd from the stage. At the start everyone was cheering for Maeda-san to join them. He reluctantly accepted and Arisha proposed that they take a picture without him, and one together with him. At one point of time after taking a group picture with the center audience, everyone was shouting for Maeda-san to come in and were patronising him. Arisha stood up and reminded everyone that this was her event not Maeda's and everyone laughed. She got jealous in my opinion omgosh so cute

And yeah that is the end of whatever the hell i could remember from the event! (well... I blanked out a lot cause I couldn’t believe Arisha was in front and her beauty and her voice and ane’fglkasdpgd)

Italy,the 5th most visited country in the world is where I went missing this summers with my partner #oldmonk and I come back with a bag full of happy memories.To add anything to already existing travel articles and data about Italy on the Internet can be difficult as there is no dearth to it, so I will just write about what we enjoyed the most and what you can add in your bucket list if it matched your wavelength:)

Now the order that I list are almost equal in terms of my experience, the thing is that when you are there in flesh and blood experiencing it, it’s all together a different high so the list is in the sequence we visited.

1.Cinque Terre:Hiking,Wandering,Sunset and Night Photography

“Cinque Terre”,the cluster of five villages on the rugged Ligurian coast are very picturesque and you can hike all of them.As my Old Monk is not a big hiker and he reluctantly agreed to do only one, we chose the blue hiking trail from Monterosso to Vernazza and boy, it is just spectacular!!

The hike gives you an opportunity to take in gorgeous views of the sea and as you keep hiking and look back at the village you have left behind, it just keeps getting cuter and tinier.

The highlight for me was when I got the first glimpse of Vernazza from a distance and second was when I saw Monterosso again from Vernazza’s harbour:) So I suggest a hike is a must if you can.

Also,be a early riser as the sun can get strong and this comes from someone who stays in Delhi where we experience excruciating heat:). Also the crowds can get to you.Again from someone who lives in the second most populated country in the world:) So starting early can be a really good idea.

Secondly,when we reached Riomaggiore (our 5th village) by train of course, we climbed up the stairs on left of the harbour and it had gorgeous views of the village, sea and sunset, this was an absolute highlight.See the sunset time online and make sure you don’t miss it.

Finally we planned and got back to Vernazza again after the sunset to take night shots of the village.The best part,at night the village was almost empty ,with all tourists gone and it thus became the best time to spend eating focaccia and admiring the village harbour while experiencing the softest sea breeze.

2.Detour- Porto Venere

So when we were doing “Cinque Terre” our Airbnb host suggested we must take a detour and visit Porto Venere, and we are glad we listened because we just loved it.My highlight was the view from the Window and then Balcony of San Pietro Church.I also liked walking the steps of Byron’s Grotto,Sipping a coffee in a corner tucked away cafe, walking the oldest lanes of Porto Venere ,chatting with a Nun who lives there from Kerala and buying the best Pesto I ever had.Ah!

3.Staying in a Vineyard in Chianti-Tuscany

We chose Chianti Classico region for the first part of our stay in Tuscany.Our stay was in the midst of endless vineyards of Casa Sola, in absolute wilderness.

From here we drove around the Chianti Classico region…The landscape was serene with endless vineyards, olive trees and the beautiful red poppy flowers.

We did the Castellina in Chianti (beautiful village where we had a hearty breakfast), Radda in Chianti (I bought traditional coffee makers from this village), Gaiole in Chianti (famous for L’Eroica cycling event each year) and Greve in Chianti.

We also did day trips to two beautiful town/city San Gimignano and Siena.

4.Staying in an Ancient Castle in a tiny Tuscan Village, Castle Muzio.

With a population of just 35 residents, Castle Muzio was the perfect, fairy tale village we chose for staying during our later part of Tuscany. Here we divided our time checking out the Tuscan villages and landscape .The castle stay was cozy and here my window overlooked the village’s chapel and it’s bell tower that rang every hour:)

So our highlights here were Val’Orcia,San Quirico and Crete Senesi regions…endless rolling hills and Poppies made us so happy.Our cameras kept clicking but to just be and soak in everything that Mother Nature has to offer was just soul satisfying.

My most cherished spot if I have to pick will be “Capella Della Madonna Di Vitaleta”,the chapel with cypress trees.So simple yet so profound.

In terms of Villages I definitely recommend “Montepulciano” and also “Pienza” actually.

5.Salerno a Lovely Surprise

After doing the famous Amalfi Coast we relaxed in Salerno.We had done absolute zero research on Salerno and hence it became a sweet surprise.Firstly we stayed in a Port facing room in the apartment of an Old Couple who were the sweetest.The view of Yatchs, Ships and the Sea was so cool and the sound of Seagulls made it all so unforgettable..

The old town of Salerno has also so much to offer.Because it is less touristy we saw Italians in their weekend bests enjoying the promenade and in the shopping streets of the old town .I got two pairs of Italian Shoes here, probably that’s why it is also a highlight:)

The Cathedral was hosting a music performance by different schools and it was open for all to visit, which we did.Supernice!

Also we had a very authentic Atypical but Gourmet dining experience in Cicirinella,Salerno.A definite recommendation, but book your table in advance here.

6.Lecce-For Art,Music and Culture

For a few nights we made the historic centre of Lecce our Basecamp to explore the Southern Puglia region. The Old town of Lecce is beautiful and we liked it because of it’s eclectic mix of Working Artists, University Students, Monks,Nuns and Musicians.

We were happy to catch up with the Lecce music scene too with the band “Almoraima”.

It just had a good feel to it and people peacefully were having a great time.

7.Puglia Coastal Routes

This Mediterranean coastline is endless with it’s Azure water.We drove down from Lecce to Leuca and had the best time.We hopped from town to town dipping in the Azure waters, swimming,relaxing on the rocks and savouring seafood.

The halts on the route we took and recommend is Porto Badisco- Castro Marina – Tricase Marina – Marina Di Novaglie – Il Ciolo (the bridge that’s famous for jumps, though I just swam underneath!) and Pescoluse (Maldive del salento).Just Fab!

8.Staying in a Trulli

Ah!The truly magnificent experience ever.We stayed in a 200 yrs old Trulli in the fairy tale “Itria Valley” of Italy right outside Alberobello. This Trulli was our home for four days.I felt like a wealthy farmer of medieval times.I had an underground room to myself which the owners have converted in to a Museo, an underground cellar which was so cold I could imagine it acting like a big natural refrigerator of those times and a room in the air practically, basically a wooden loft with a wooden ladder.I love restoring things so this was such a delight.

The host left us unlimited table wines to savour and other goodies.Here we went to the local market, cooked food and basically relaxed as if we were locals.

9.Walking the lanes of Old Towns of Puglia

You pick any town in Puglia region you will like it for it’s stone washed buildings, the sea view,harbor and marinas.We visited so many towns and it ‘s hard to choose the best but I am going to # some so you can google and pick yours.Just wander and get lost in these towns, you will love it.

10.Binging Out in Italy

Now Italian Cuisine is every kids favourite and we were absolute childlike in eating our Pizzas and Gelatos for sure.We ate absolute amazing pizzas but our favourite Pizza was at La Pia in La Spezia and it was right next to our bnb.

You will see locals and tourists queuing up.We saw locals ordering a slice of Pizza with Farinata (a local chickpea pancake) and we did the same.But the Slice was so good that we then ordered a full size Pizza (that just melts in your mouth) and we also went there the next day and the day after:)

I am also going to pick L’Antica Pizzeria Da Michele for our Pizza journey in Naples for the sheer theatre of it.First you get a slip with your queue number, ours was 84 so imagine we had 83 tables before us, practically a wait of 1hr:30mins, but the best part is you have people from around the world waiting outside for that one bite of the legendary “Margherita Pizza” or “Marinara Pizza “(my pick is the Margherita )and it is more like a celebration.Due to the crazy waiting line, we saw people having beers,gelatos and even pizza from another shop before they entered to have the legendary one.haha!!

Btw,you won’t believe where I had the third best Pizza.It’s the authentic Neapolitan Pizza I made myself..haha..! We did a cooking class with Tonino Academy in Naples and the Pizza we made was so soft and yum and I just couldn’t believe that I could make such a yum tum Pizza:)

My coffee cravings was satisfied in many cafes where I would have a shot of cafe macchiato and I like to have it with fresh orange juice which may sound weird but it’s my fav pair.

In the land of Gelato it’s difficult to pick one right ? but I think we know our favourite and it’s at Perche No! in Florence.In midst of the historic centre this melt in your mouth Gelato was the sweetest experience ever.We highly recommend it because you cannot go to Florence and not have Perche No! gelato.You just have to.
